- Hundreds of Black migrants, many from African countries, showed up at New York City Hall on Tuesday, demanding better treatment and saying they just want a job and basic shelter. CBS New York's John Dias reports on the changes they're calling for.

I applied for my sister Green card about 15 years ago. She died last year and the application papers never moved, but many come through the border and have everything for free; and who pay for that? we the ones that work hard to pay taxes. I am very frustrated with this administration.

This is why we have an immigration and naturalization process.
That process allows people into the country especially with the job skills we might be in need of. It's not a free-for-all in the United States and I would doubt any other country that has let in migrants has had the same problems New York City is having. I know the northern countries in Europe have had problems with migrants for years. When you have a large influx of migrants they tend to stay in their group. They do not want to be assimilated

Many of us employed with serious disabilities and kids with disabilities pay is not enough to make ends meet especially after taxes. There is no American dream here no owning a car or a home for anyone that isn’t super rich. People need to wake the heck up fast give the work permits and watch cheap labor get worse and on the books pay much better when you hire people with less skills you will get tax breaks and all kinds of insensitives. Many people can’t retain a new language but in new yoke you can have people speak English you must learn their languages. This isn’t working and it’s a heartbreaking shame because no one’s getting skills and no one’s learning to make it, you get free stuff or you can’t survive, an that’s not reality. Human nature is to help others but not when someone is demanding and expecting to take what you earned. I have met many undocumented immigrants that have no idea how bad New Yorkers are struggling they are delusional and have a fairy tail mind set of what life is here. It is unlike anything I have ever seen and mayor Adam’s and governor Hochul I know this isn’t what they expected and I know they will help figure it out but they will not go against their people. If New Yorkers want this then that’s what you get they do what the majority wants period and we can’t blame them for doing their jobs, their jobs are to do what the citizens want them to do not just what some people want

Companies will likely push for tax incentives to hire low skilled immigrants. A few dollars less than the locals, of course, since you have to teach them. Which they'd do anyways for your neighborss kid. But, that's not useful, here. You can justify cheap work, because you're a good guy.
