@@bvw3153 Friend, you are misunderstanding what folks like Douglas Wilson mean on this subject. No one is advocating for a system where pastors or priests rule within the government to establish some kind of state church or ecclesiastical state council. When Wilson says “All of Christ for all of Life,” he means that all spheres of life are under the Lordship of Christ; the family government, church ecclesiology, local government, state government, federal government, etc. As I said above, it’s Christ or chaos. What Wilson is advocating is a nation whose laws are founded on the principles of God’s revelation to us, as He had spoken clearly and authoritatively through the Scriptures. Only the Christian worldview can bring about a society where the innocent are protected, the poor are taken care of, and the wicked are punished. But if you reject the idea of a nation placing importance on the lordship of Christ in all things, what kind of system would you put in place that isn’t just as religious in nature? The question isn’t whether or not one founds their laws and principles upon a religious framework, but rather which religious framework you use to plant your feet. You may think or immediately say “we don’t advocate for any religion,” but the reality is that you would have to promote a specific worldview and thus you’ll have to account for the presuppositions and assumptions that lay as the foundation of that worldview. Whether you intend it or not, this worldview very much acts as a religious framework, because that worldview dictates things like morality, ethics, and principles that lead to specific laws as good and condemns other actions as bad.

You decide who controls the front handlebars on any given day or for any given event. What kind of car we will buy or where we vacation. My husband has a good working knowledge if vehicles, so he gets that last word. We alternate decision years for where to vacation, and this is my year. Suppose the kids are stuck in public school, because we can't decide which private school is best. Now, the kids will suffer from an inadequate education because WE can't decide. @@CmRoddy So you are ok with theocracy then, because that is what the pastor is calling for. A government dictated by religion.
They are taking over Moscow example is buying buildings and evicting businesses that do not have the same views.

We are going to save all the babies, and nobody can stop us!
True!
Can we just all agree that Christianity is not good?
No bad press here. We have seen and are about to see Doug Wilson's church explode with people who want to have truth taught to them. Biased journalism loses here.

This is an example of why a child of God doesn't give that which is holy unto the dogs, lest they turn and rend you to pieces. The only motive behind the story is to condemn that which is Holy.
I"m so encouraged by the comments on here! Amen.... Christians actually acting like christians is concerning for those in the world! May God bless Wilson and his efforts!
NBC not approving is a badge of honor.
The first time I ever knew of this town was as a result of my very early research into COVID-19.
A medical research paper was written by several people who had gone to China to see the first COVID patients in the hospital.
One of the people was in China on behalf of the University there in Moscow.
The first big outbreak occurred as a result of a medical conference in Boston which the research group may very well have attended upon their return from China.
Now this... interesting.
I am agnostic, but it seems like this reporter had an agenda. I’m old enough to remember when most reporting seemed to be unbiased. Nowadays people are getting canceled or demonized for not going with the narratives.
How is getting a 12 minute feature on the news, where he gets to respond to questions and allegations, getting "Cancelled"? If he was cancelled, you'd have never heard about him all in the first place. He'd be quietly dropped and never spoken of again.
Make it an official Christian town. Let's all get the popcorn and tune in.
Yes, lets do and see what happens. since it's against the constitution and all.
You literally went to a Unitarian who denies orthodox Christian doctrine to ask “who is the church.” Unbelievably ignorant.
Imagine that, a Christian cult in rural Idaho. Never would've thought such a thing was possible.
NBC, next time you should do some research about what the Bible teaches and ask biblically qualified pastors to judge other churches, not heretical female "pastors"
Women are real pastors, doesn’t matter what you believe, or what a book translated over and over that was written 2000 years ago has to say on the matter.
What a horror!
only if your a women😄

"I don't believe they're a real church, no", says the UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST
I'm starting to understand what God meant when he said that he sits in the heavens and laughs.
i think God may regret ever building a church. all they do is lie over and over and over again. some bride.
Reading the comments, Pastor Wilson must be directly over the target.
It's f*ck'n scary.
Why didn't she ask those couples why they want to live in a Christian town?
Seems the answer to that question would actually get to the heart of this movement.
Being a christian isn't about "circling the wagons" to build an enclave where the legal rights of people you don't agree with are revoked. God gave us all Free Will, that we might freely come to Him.
God's Will is that we love our neighbors, even if we don't like them, and, of course, this is only possible if we love God.
"And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”
I imagine this is also true in Moscow, Idaho.
My marriage began more than 50 years ago, so patriarchy is a norm to me. That doesn't exclude a female dominant family as a choice. No partnership gets anywhere if authority isn't delegated before controversy arises. If every decision were a tied vote, there is no decision. Imagine a tandem bicycle. The patriarchy system says, when you havent delegated authority and you can't work out a compromise, Dad gets the last word. He has the responsibility of considering my desires and the children's needs.
Yet billions of people don't live this way. In your mind, none of them are able to get anything done in cases where they don't see eye to eye? Haha what a breathtaking moron you are.
The only sanity and indeed love and tolerance in this video appears to be found in the one NBC is trying to paint as the bad guy... Christ Church looks amazing. Doing their best to practice actual Christian faith. Need more of that.
Love is neither coercive, nor controlling-a key to discerning who has it, and who does not.
Let’s claim to follow the Bible but do the opposite and say we are “Christian”. Guess who I’m talking about.

A unitarian universalist saying a certain church ISN'T a church is absolutely hilarious. Unitarian universalists literally don't believe anything lol

Isn’t this democracy in action though?…like minded people, with similar values, through free association, forming a community, that they wish to preserve. Sounds pretty American to me!
No because what happens to all the people who live there that don't agree? Most can't pick up and move will Wilson pay them to move?
