Between Tim Waurick, Jakob Stenberg, and Christian Diaz, we now just need a baritone capable of holding crazy long notes to achieve the ultimate sound: L O N G Q U A R T E T
Mason, I've seen you on a bunch of great barbershop videos saying who the arranger is. Thank you for this information, the quartets, as magnificent as they are are truly only one half of what makes a song great.
@@joeplavin I wholeheartedly agree. I wish the society would put the arranger in the description. Maybe even put the title, quartet, and arranger in the bottom left corner at the top of the video.
@@CatholicQuartet actually, it seems to be a piece written by Newsies alum Ben Fankhauser - there's a single youtube video of him performing it, and no other record of the song existing besides Midtown's versions.
I had the opportunity to hear them (and sing with them) in Holland a few months before their victory. Excellent performance. The best I've ever heard live (and I've already heard some other champions).
"This guy? (This guy?) He likes to hold long notes."

Tony DeRosa is unfortunately preoccupied in Three and a Half Men
Marcus Kang sings a mean baritone from what I've heard...
How does one simply forget about TONY D?! The original Tim Waurick!
@@NikoPorter I didn’t forget :(
@@romankingbhs Does Tony DeRosa hold a 30+ second long post? Maybe I've somehow missed that part of his game
Man, Anthony is such a great lead, especially from 2:00 to the end! And, KJ hit that really nice G# with full voice.
Your BASS did that. M Y H E A V E N S. (props to said bass, btw)
Just about any other year this set would have won them the contest. The chart, the chords, the swagger...this just rocked!
I got good news
@@joeplavin amazing haha
2:10 thank youuuuu
I love that m6 so much!!
The new bass King 👑
With competition from 3.5 men!
@@betsywalits9869 I have hopes that 3.5 men will win this year! Either that or First Take.
So great. They deserved the win for sure
SO MUCH TALENT IN THIS QUARTET...HOPE TO SE THEM IN CLEVELAND IN 2024
OMG. That was amazing. My jaw was on the floor at the end. Holy wow.
2023, BABY!!!
Well, your probably happy today
WHAT A SOUND
2:10 Holy Cow
Christian?!?! That long note is Tim Waurick territory
For a lower note, Diaz's post is phenomenal!
he held that note for 30 seconds, if i counted correctly
@@jazzfella13Close enough. He started at 2:22 and ended at 2:57, so 35 seconds.
That chord it 2:10, damn
Arranged by Aaron Dale

Did they make this song or was it song by someone else originally?
Who is the arranger
Is this song a cover, or is it an original?
Original, arranged by Aaron Dale for barbershop

@@dukeofkings8942Thanks for clarifying. I thought it was an original, but that’s still really cool especially since it is not well known.
OK
