Damn. It's amazing how well Brian can still sing. Those high notes! Freddie always overshadowed him is the vocal stakes but he was always a fine singer in his own right.
Although there can be only one, Freddie Mercury, that song sounds amazing with Mr. Bocelli sharing vocals with Brian May. Given Freddie's love of opera (Montserrat Caballé, for example), I think he would have definitely approved.
Such a beautiful song. I remember back when Highlander came out and this truly made me cry. A great album, great band and my favourite film of all time all in one!! Thank you Queen and RIP Freddy, you where one in a billion!
The execution is great, but what amazes me most is how humble and genuine these old maestros are. You can see they are there for the music - not the other way around.
I'd like to dedicate "Who Wants to Live Forever" to my younger brother, Stan, who passed into the Great Beyond yesterday. We love you Stan. And thanks to Andrea and Brian for their beautiful talents, and to Daniel for posting this. Blessings All 💜
I do believe that's the most gorgeous rendition of 1 of my all time favorite songs! I didn't even know Brian could sing, the dude is already incomparable on the guitar!
Today it is 33 years Freddie died. Wish I could have experienced him one single time on stage live. Thank god we still have his music keeping his testimony alive. Wonderful performance we see here. Thank you for sharing.
When the Highlander came out and this song came in, it sent chills down my spine. Truly, one of the most underrated songs ever. Then I clicked on this version, once again chills ran down my spine. Epic!
In case you wonder, “In the film version [of the Highlander], Freddie Mercury provides all the main vocals. On the album version, May sings lead vocals on the first verse before Mercury takes over, with May also singing "But touch my tears with your lips" during Mercury's verse and the closing line "Who waits forever anyway?" (thank you google, wikipedia😇)
Oh my goodness, Brian! This performance could not have been any more sweet. It was just beautiful. Freddie was there with both of you! I could see him on that stage with you both! And I cried and am still crying. Thank you, each one of you, for this very special moment. I’ve saved it to watch over and over again. God bless you both. ❤️🐈❤️
This song reminds me again how many GREAT hits Queen produced. Damn - 80-s and 90-s were great time. Nah - 60-s and 70-s were just as great - I mean, come on - Elvis and Beatles. 'Nugh said.
Serious question - Has there ever been a band with as many talented members as Queen? Every single member has written a number one hit, and as May is demonstrating here, they have multiple talents far beyond their chosen instruments. The only bands I can think of with that depth of individual talent are supergroups like the Traveling Willburys and maybe The Beatles.
This song holds powerful memories for me. I was a karaoke host some years ago, and was working when a friend of mine came in to tell me another friend of ours had been murdered by her husband. I didn't know what else to do, so I sang this song in her honour... now whenever I hear it, it makes me think of her.
@@eCHoK-ny1zm. You are speaking of the original video. Have you ever heard Freddie sing it live ( by himself ) at the Wembley concert in 1986. You should watch it. It’s is beautiful, and Freddie owns it.
Bittersweet and heart breakingly sad. The only other one more so is the “Show must go on”. Freddie must be free now from these earthly constraints. Made in Heaven!
My beloved and I wanted different things out of life and parted ways... but this song reminds me of a perfect moment in time when we first looked into eachother's eyes.
As a great man once said (and I'm paraphrasing), every day we should do three things: Laugh, have moments of deep thought, and have our emotions moved to tears. Bocelli and May took care of #3 for me today. Good gosh, that was fantastic.
No this can’t be happening. This is too fantastic, too brilliant, too I don’t know. Too. Out of this world! Brilliant, fantastic, off the charts! Spell binding! That’s me done! I hope it’s released!! 💕
Quality songwriting, quality performers, quality delivery. A fitting rendition of a deeply moving song.
🎯 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wow they soundsawsome and rememfreedy mercury ❤❤❤😂@@Olena_slastyena
Brian may looks awesome❤❤❤
Nie podoba mi się tylko oryginal
Wiem zarabiać na zycie
Two old guys singing about living forever and Freddy is already in heaven. Kinda heavy

Wish Freddie was alive so we would have an Andrea and Freddie duet. Would’ve been a duet for the ages
Truly beautiful. FREDDY WOULD LOVE THIS❤
Such a beautiful song. I remember back when Highlander came out and this truly made me cry. A great album, great band and my favourite film of all time all in one!! Thank you Queen and RIP Freddy, you where one in a billion!
I was enjoying the movie until they unalived Sean Connery's character.
@keyvanattaie did you watch the others films. I know, sean was great in it. Such a fantastic actor.
I had no idea that Brian has such a beautiful voice 😮
He really is pretty good. Check out songs like "All Dead" and "39", as well as his cover of "Since You've Been Gone".
@iusedtobevegan thanks I will check them out! I have seen queen 3 times and Brian didn't showcase his vocals at all it was all about Freddie 😊
Beautiful! Freddie would be so honored! The best song Brian May ever wrote.
Freddie would be proud. Brian was working hard to hang on. Such a powerful song. Wonderful performance.
Thank you Brian for keeping this beautiful music alive
Brian wrote a beautiful song and always brings me to tears. This version does it justice, not Freddy just different and beautiful.
I wish Freddie could’ve heard this 😭
Didn’t know Brian could sing that well
Roger is even better, he could easily have been a lead singer of a band.
How telling is it that only one of the more famous (living) operatic vocalists can hold a flame to Freddie! Beautiful.
Brian sang it better, and so did Adam. Andrea should stick to opera.
The execution is great, but what amazes me most is how humble and genuine these old maestros are. You can see they are there for the music - not the other way around.
@@tonilaitinen5197 A very insightful comment. Great description of true artistry.
Brian you are one of the best guitar player and also a good singer. Freddy would be proud.
Bodies die...souls do not....Freddy and his music live on ..
Wow what a great voice Brian has 😮
After so many years still on of my favorites performed by two great musicians. Thank you
Freddie Mercury (Wembley 1986) FOREVER !!!
Brian May can still Sing . Fantastic!
Auto tune.

My deepest condolences for your loss. May Stan R.I.P.
Deep sympathy for you and your family.

What a great voice Brian. Up there with Mercury. Plus the added talent of being a great guitarist.
Too beautiful for words.. brings tears! Thank you to two legends of music.. 🎶❤🎩👏
holy shit, brians voice ❤

Beautiful song, great Bocelli and Brian May, exceptional, exciting ♥️🎶🎤🎸♥️👏👏✨💎👌
Im on tears with this amazing perfomance, thanks Brian May and Andrea Bocelli!!!
This is a beautiful Queen song. This performance is perfect 👌🏻 Freddie would smile at this

Da fare accapponare la pelle. Senza parole 😳😳😳😳

It’s crazy how queen had 3 insane singers

I know Freddy would love it.
Freddie would be so proud!!!
OH.. MY..GOD!!! What an amazing duet. I never would have put the 2 of them together. The hair on my arms stood straight up. Chilling good
Legends live forever, the rest of us is dust who created the legends
I believe Freddy would approved. He would’ve loved listening Andrea Bacilli sing like that.
Not only listen. Sing it with him. Like Barcelona
@ so true I agree with you or not I would love to hear him sing Barcelona however Brian may I don’t think could sing Barcelona lol
Freddie would have loved it! From where he is he approves
The smile of andréa say everithing
Freddie would be so proud of this moment and the emotions for Brian would have been immense
Love this
@janeweinstein3615 yep it's special
What a fantastic song for a moving scene from the original highlander movie.
WHOA! That was magnificent. The beauty of Andrea’s voice complements the beauty of Brian’s guitar perfectly. Two absolute masters of music!!!
Jesus, this is just epic.
Love Andrea ...and Queen...Freddy will Listen to IT with a Smile in His face..❤😊
OMG, what a fantastic duo. I love this song. Queen and Highlander forever!!! Freddie we is you.
Beautiful song. Thank you very much Bocelli, Brian..

Never thought I'd get to see Queen and Andrea Bocelli together. I'm a big fan of both and have watched them separately. This is my dream! Touching.
Why am I crying?
Am I the only one to get shivers running down my spine?
No, sei in buona compagnia
Siamo in molti.
Amazing. Bought a tear to my eye. Beautiful and touching
This life has only one sweet moment set aside for us...
Andrea Bocelli was one of my Grandmother's favorite artists.
So beautiful! It's the yahrzeit (anniversary) of Freddie's passing today; he's sorely missed.
I never knew Brian May had such a great voice! This was a wonderful duet. Bravo!❤

BEAUTIFUL song !
Не хватает Freddie.
Holy shit that was awesome.
Great song from a great movie.
This is angelic, Freddie is looking down and smiling. Absolutely magical!
Goosebumps and dusty air here.
Freddie lives forever
Freddy is smiling to see this rendition it takes a special person to pull this off.
Queen was an insane band. Each member could have been a serious star on their own.

This is incredible! The song just gives me chills, sorrow and hope. Andrea Bocelli and Brian May are quite the dou in this song! Bravo!!!
OMG this man. At his age!
A beautiful rendition of a classic -
Wręcz wspaniałe....😢serce się kraje ❤❤❤💔💔

Music transcends like a prayer.
His vibrato is unreal, it's effortlessly perfect and Brian is no slouch when it comes to either of his instruments.

Man, it's been too long since I've listened to Andrea!
Such a short song, so few words…and still it says everything about life.
I love Queen and Andreas voice What a Dream combo this is ❤❤👌😊
Andrea and Brian...bloody brilliant ❤
Freddy Mercury would be singing his heart out to this very beautiful song
Freddy will be crying with joy at that
