whether you make beats on a computer or from real hardware, the people really don't care where it comes from especially if its a hit. so I give big ups to all creative artist no matter what method they are using to compose.
DJ Khaled is a great example of how important communication and networking are in the music business. People who can talk and sell themselves do better than quiet talents
2:47 He lost me when he called using a DAW "too easy". Granted, using the basic functionality of a DAW is objectively easy. But; you still have to be a fantastic musician to make truly original music with one of the pieces of software. They're just a brush in the hand of an artist.
Ya, but Khalid makes sense here...understanding the buisness is a whole other level...for me personally it's been way more difficult getting the music out there, then it has been to make it. Making the music really is the easy part...but making money off it? Ya that's why DJ khalid gets my respect.
Yeah lmfao. The people here claiming that the business side of music is harder then the producing side you're funny as fuck. "producing is the easy part" that's pure bullshit. If your tracks are actually good promo channels and record labels will support them, no doubt. It's as easy as that, create a banger and send it to a promo channel or label.
marvinxi15 even less promotion, probably 10%. I mean, promoting the track is important but I'm talking about promoting it yourself. Seriously, all you have to do is make a good track and send it to some networks, that's all there is to it. If none of those networks (labels, promo channels, etc) want to support the track it simply means the track sucks.
Using the daw is easy is what he meant, making beats that "sound good" are easy. What he means is that it is a skill to make it sell, and make it good.
@@2tallnegrito7cmn55Directors are usually the most important figure in making a film. He actually works very hard and you lot hate seeing people with money like him. Khaled is actually super smart and makes hits. Why do you think he always has the a listers regulry on his records drake justin bieber etc they beg to get on his records as they know they always go number 1
Exactly. Even though I knew I could program my beats by mouse, I went out and got a MiDi cable for my old piano anyway, because I knew that that would make me lazy as a keyboardist.
Ant 88 If it was a skill everyone would be doing it well you mean. Because right now there's millions of people behind a screen making beats tbh and more millions of people spitting bars and writing lyrics. However those who do it well are skilled. Anyone can program an 808 bass line to make a Trap beat imo but only really skilled people can make it bouncy and sound good and fresh
Yes it's what all rappers do. But what makes it respectable is that they actually put in work and rap on those beats. DJ Khaled is just a fat slob that does nothing.
its not as black and white as you say, there are different levels of skill, my mum couldnt make even a simple beat and decent melody even if i taught her how to, people are more skilled than others, its not "his skilled and his not"
So... A businessman, project manager or administrator? Because none of the qualities you stated means "musician", "music producer", "beatmaker". I idealize the composition, I trigger it on VSTs, I do the mixing, I master it. I'm only 2 months old as a producer but was a keyboarder and singer for 5 years. If all he does is "get things moving" than gimme 1 year learning the business and I can do better.
A respected executive producer : They have the money to make people's ears perk up when they call. You return their call and listen and try to work out a schedule so you can show up for interesting work and get $$$$$
Khaled is really just an executive producer (creative director) that works with music producers and artists to develop records. It's a skill, but it's highly reliant on the the talent and skill of those that he works with. Creative direction won't get you anywhere without great creators.
It's more about quality and quantity being balanced that's why record producers are important. You can have great artists and musicians but if your music isn't professional enough to get through the public eyes most artists would just be underground or one hit wonders.
CT Youre absolutely right. and i think he gets the job done with most of the people he worked with. he does seem a bit arrogant, but being in his position, id be too
A producer's job is to see the artist's vision and, if applicable, the label's vision, through to completion. If the artist is the producer which is the case more and more nowadays, then the artist gets all the players, collaborators, beatmakers to work on their individual parts and achieve the end goal they were going after. When you get in the room in a session or camp, it's essential that you know exactly what you're there for, so that you can deliver and not step on toes or bruise anyone's ego.
interesting points ,if anyone else is searching for music production software or beat maker online try HootMusic.xyz ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my neighbor got great success with it.
@@itsjustme4051 he said that what "beat makers" are doing is fake, it's computer generated. And hes basically calling them talentless. Then what is autotune?, Is it not computer generated?, It's way faker than what "beat makers" are doing. Atleast they know how to make beats. Artists who use autotune can't make records without the help of a computer generated voice. So if you ask me, they have alot in common.
You can't actually release a song without autotune. With everything so digital, a 100% real voice will not match, it needs to be a little digital too. That's what makes difference between a studio recorded song and live singing. Relying on it and thinking that I can sing any way I like and autotune will handle it is wrong but using a lot during the mix is important.
Start-up accelerators do the exact same thing in the entrepreneurial world. Khaled does this for music producers/artists because of his insane network and unwavering objectivity. He knows the formula and how to deliver
Khaled probably has 1000 times more beats/records played to him than the ones that actually get released. Being able to filter out the crap and then select the write artists from his network is an artform in itself

Having the thought process in your head and delivering it in any way whether it is live instruments or software makes you just as talented either way
Nate Beats Facts bro. I've been making my own music for damn near 10 years. I've been using FL studio for 7 years. When I first started I was always using the basic sounds provided by FL. Once I started understanding the art of sampling and importing sounds and kits from other songs and artists, my beats got so much better. I wanted to make everything sound authentic as shit. It's not the software. It's what you do with it.
HPM Boss Uh, what? People who make beats are basically what composers are in an orchestra. Those composers dont know how to play every insturemnt in the orchestra because their job is to create a musical idea. Their job is not to be good at instruments.
Skip Last ok sorry yo burst your bubble but most composers know how yo play half or a little more than half of the instruments...composers are master's of music most composers have to study everything music including a primary and secondary instrument...also to get your degree you have yo know how to play the diff mouth positions and fingering of instruments which is why I get so upset for real composers who don't get there credit for there work
ricky truth. Be. Told. It's not always just having the best sounding samples and the realist plugins. Figuring out your own style with basic sounds will open your personal gates to becoming great. Building a foundation and an understanding of how you lay the best down is all personal.
It’s hard not to sound defensive as a producer/ beat maker trying o convince people that it’s actually a very difficult and important job in the music industry.
Daniel Dini Thank you. This dude is good, but no where near the level of Dre or Scott. Fuck that pretentious behaviour. Fine that you make your money, but don't give titles to yourself. Those are given not taken.
I feel you, but like he said in this interview... If all of this was "SO EASY"....then why isn't everyone else doing it?! Why aren't they (or even you for that matter) making hit records as well?? Why isn't everyone else doing the same thing 🤔..
You only a real Producer if you colobrate with the Artist in the studio overseeing the production and recording process of the finished record. I'm a real Record Producer like Quincy Jones as I work with the Artist directly but I'm also a Songwriter too as I compose the orignal music such as the beat. There are only 3 types of Producer's that exist in the Music industry, Record Producer, Executive Producer and Vocal Producer.
"Quincy Jones didn't play an instrument on thriller".... Yeah but he let the true artists take the credit! He didn't name his tracks "Quincy Jones ft. Michael Jackson - Thriller"
Quincy Jones is a real Producer not an Artist or Musican. Not all Record Producer's Co-Writes the music or have anything making beats, esp in Jazz, Classical and Rock genres. Beyonce Knowles is also an acting role Vocal Producer and Executive Producer as she Co-Produced the entire Destiny Child Survivor album.
@@Stryke2wice Quincy Jones doesn't write songs. He's a Record Producer the director, Overseer, Arranger. He didn't write the music for Michael Jackson. He hired session musicians and he orchestrates the whole thing.
@@cjstringfield He may play instruments but he wasn't a contributing Songwriter any of Michael Jackson records. He's only credited as a Producer. Record Producer's that contributed as a Co-Writer receive Songwriting credits with their Production credits rather you wrote the music or lyrics.
For all the non producers who are just on here commenting, let me break it down. Traditionally a producer was the person that took a song that a songwriter and composer made and then turned it into radio ready music. They didn’t make the beat or write the lyrics, they oversaw the recording of the song by the artist, made sure the musicians recorded the best takes, made sure the sound was good and that the record with be viable to radio. Quincy Jones didn’t make any “beats” for “Thriller”. He oversaw the process, gathered the best demos and presented then to Michael. He then called in session musicians to take that demo and turn it into a radio viable product. He is still considered the producer of that album however, even though he didn’t make not 1 beat on the album. Overtime people have confused the role of producer and composer. Now mind you that now days sometimes the producer is the composer/beatmaker. But just because you are one doesn’t mean you are the other.
How is he not humble when you literally hear him giving love to everyone on his time in the video??? He's giving credit to everyone and somehow he isn't humble???
There are Producers, DJs, Beatmakers and people who do all three = Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren, Afrojack, Swedish House Mafia There are Beatmakers, there are DJs and then there is DJ Khaled
Look at it this way,,in the acting industry, a script writer might have a good storyline, and an actor might have all the good acting skills. But for the two talents to merge, a director has to come in to create the vibration/the feel in the story..DJ Khaled is this director, in the music industry, merging the technical skills of the beat maker with the lyrics/sound of the singer to create a certain vibration and that's why he creates hits. I respect his craft👌🙌💯
"You want a hit record, come see me" Nah, I'd rather make something myself on a DAW because it'll be mine, shit or not. Poisonous people like this is why there's so much rubbish that sounds like 100 other records from their marketing dept. Chasing fame has nothing to do with good music.
Well said. You trust them, you become dependant and stuck on your level. And when you split with them, they take all the credit and go "I made that fool. He used to sit on the couch and wait for me to finish his entire song" and as you weren't really part of the production, you have to get on someone else's shoulder to keep releasing, and that's pathetic as an artist. You're supposed to do your own thing.
Absolutely mate! Well said. The way he likes to make music is the one that makes all the current music sound the same crap. Sound quality is important and we all know that, but it's not more important than originality and fresh ideas.
People need to understand that DJ Khaled is an 'Executive' Producer now. He is a modern day Berry Gordy just like the Motown days. He paid his early studio' dues and elevated to this status in the game. Not many people can say they have done that. One only needs to watch him sit down and discuss his 'vision' with the likes of DJ Premier, Nas, Scarface and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League,...then watch them breathe life into that vision. Hence, masterpieces like the incredible track 'Hip Hop'. Khaled had the 'vision' to create that joint and put together an epic team to create it. Think about this: If you have ever been to a Subway restaurant for a sandwich, all of the ingredients are laid out in front of you and you have an 'idea' of how you want that sandwich to look and taste based on how it's put together. You tell the preparer and they give you what you want. Right? Khaled is like the customer instructing the preparer on how to craft and fine tune his vision for that particular sandwich. (The only difference is,...he can afford to secure the restaurant and bring in his 'own' team of sandwich artists based on their experience and talent to create a masterpiece). Executive producers have done this for years. Berry, and Quincy Jones for example. Quincy Jones' albums - 'The Dude', 'Back On The Block' and 'Stomp' brought together some of the best artists and musicians the world has ever known. Fast forward, Now you have cats like Diddy, Timbaland. Dr. Dre,...etc. Even Warren G admits to bringing in other individuals to add elements to projects and bring them to life. That is a real producer's 'full' job. Anyone who has ever played, sang, co-produced, or shared in DJ Khaled's music vision should be honored to have been a part of it.You may not care for his constant public presence or his voice repeatedly being laced throughout a track that he's responsible for putting together, but he has earned the right and there is no denying his mental vision and the means to make them come to life.Peace
Jonathan Villalobos Hell yea , Dj shadow, MF doom, Aim, alchemist, Jdilla. There are so many underground artist that can walk this dude harder than arab muzik at a contest.
Its one thing to feel like you can do it all by yourself, its another thing to realize that other people have something that you miss. DJ Khaled is real!
@fooloof fr tho. He's also not saying like he's the greatest producer on earth and throwing shit on others in the game, he just claims that he's great and what about that? Is it bad if we feel great on what we do? I don't think so
Jobs organized great minds and ideas together, but Wozniak was the brains and 'talent' behind the machine. Could Jobs have created what he did without the help of so many brilliant minds? Could Khaled create a hit without someone else's ready-made beat? Doubtful.
@@jonyshelby while agree with your point about how useless steve jobs was, i disagree with the idea he organized anything. the man was a mess. an insecure child of a man who left apple with a bad business model. and i think its fair to say apple would have existed without him and probably would have been much better. and i believe for Khalid and the peoples music he steals it is more like what a fast food manager is to his mcdonalds. essentially a pyramid scheme that benefits very little people but we tolerate because of convenience.
Joseph Cordova no Khalid legit do make some of his beats his self or he collab with another carmaker or he will literally go to cool n see and hum exactly what he wants them to play Khalid uses mpc he is not a pianist so he can't do key work but if your humming what you want someone to play it's the same as playing it
still requires talent. it is probably the equivalent to a movie director. the movie director doesn’t act, doesn’t create the special effects, and in a lot of cases doesn’t even write the movie script, but he puts everything together and makes sure the overall project is good, so khaled does the same with music records
I respect how he's talking about how a real producer he is. that's self confidence right there. don't give a shit what others think. you know you're good. don't hide from it. I gotta learn from that
exactly, you still have to program the computer to produce the sounds, arrange, refine it and mix it together. not any different than anyone using hardware like mpc or someone processing the music through analog mixers
Guys like him should form their own record company. Forget Sony, Columbia, Warner. He should do his own thing. DJ Khalid has an ear, good Buisness sense and an ability to make hits. He does such good promotion, even as corny as he may seem. You can't deny the volume of hits he's made. A lot of people will want to roll with that vibe. Even more so if he's independent.
That’s like saying... a man who orchestrates a whole ensemble with brass sections, strings, and woodwinds isn’t a composer... producers are modern day composers... they just conduct everything going on that contributes to the record they are trying to make.. they tell the beat makers how they want the groove to be, they tell the choir how they want the chorus to be, DJ KHALED a producer.. so is Travis Scott, so is Kanye West,... you don’t have to touch a keyboard or an mpc to be a producer, those are just tools to get the job done...
People that makes beats are the same thing as Songwriters/Composers. They are generally credited as Writer, Composer, Instrumentation or Programmer in production credits. People that direct and oversee recording sessions are credited as Producer. There are also different types of Producers as you have Vocal Producers as Mary J. Blige and Beyonce Knowles are often credited as Co-Producer for many of their own songs. If you look at Justin Timberlake - "Cry Me A River" production credits, you will see Scott Storch, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland credited as Writers, and Timbaland again as Producer. Scott Storch, Timbaland or Pharrell Williams is what you call Songwriter/Producers because they don't just make beats as they work directly with the artist in the studio as they wear both the beatmakers hat and the producers hat. DJ KHaled is also a Songwriter/Producer as he doesn't necessary makes beats all the time as he hires them while he directs and gives his input through the recording session. Most Hip Hop Producers start out as Beatmakers before taking over the acting role as a Producer. J.R Rotem has said the same thing in one of his interviews.
Ash what are you talking about? The best Branders in the music industry are EDM produces cause they actually care more about branding more than hip hop producers who just use the same producer tag in almost every trap song you here. Don’t get me wrong, I love trap music as well, but just saying.
Not going to lie, you gotta love DJ Khaled's energy! Gosh, so many quotable lines from this interview. So much to choose from to make memes out of lol haha
Sound doesn’t have to be “real” to sound good. I love working with synths and midi tracks and mixing them together and experimenting just as much as I love plugging a gibson sg into a marshall amp and jamming out. The difference between a producer and a beatmaker is this magical thing called the ear. There is a world of difference between a musician’s ear and a producer’s ear from being able to pick out frequencies to balancing sounds and enhancing sound.
DJ Khaled style of music is catchy but simple. Just because you have hit records and that doesn't mean your music as a producer or Beatmaker is great. Whenever you see people's "Top 5s" you will never see this guy's name on the list. Producers that are great are names such as Madlib, J Dilla, RZA, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, DR Dre, Timbaland, Kanye and the list goes on.
People don’t get that they think becuase a song is a hit that makes you great and it doesn’t it just means listeners have shit taste in music and will listen to anything they out in a radio cardi b is a perfect example and now lil nas with that country shit
That's what Pharrell Williams does when he's in the studio working with the Vocalist. A Record Producer is there to help the Artist get the best vocal peformance. The Producer may assist the Vocalist in the song lyrical writing process.
A beat maker makes beats A producer is responsible for the entire record in all aspects. They are responsible from the start to the finish of that song. The singers, the track, the rappers, instrumentalist, mixing, mastering etc...
Maybe in the rap game, but in other genres, the producer gets the proper team together and lets the artists do the work. Sometimes the producer will pick the songs for the album which is what happens with Beth Hart. She turns in about 40 songs for an album and the producer picks 10 or 11 songs.
In my eyes if someone says they are a producer of electronic or computer generated music then I just assume they use a program like Ableton or FL to make music.
When producers started taking credit and then going back and forth saying they are beat makers and producers is when we got problems. Producers need to sit on the side of the field and take no credits. Just per project gigs.
His explanation is pretty legit. Although I think he could have elaborated further. What I mean is the term "producer" needs to be put in context. His explanation comes from a "record producer" standpoint. In this case the producer manages the recording session, which is what he was loosely implying. The beat maker is the actual "music producer". In the studio, the record producer trumps the music producer in most cases.
It's the difference between a project lead on a coding project, and someone assigned to a part of the project. The project lead may never actually physically code himself, but it's still their ideas usually.
Producers take credit for shit they don't do plain and simple. They are into tyranny. The only way to solve this is make these producers go back to pay per project. No credits. Record companies sign these producers to take advantage of the real artists and THEIR CREDITS.
This topic needs to be talked about more. A lot of people don’t understand theirs a difference between producers, engineers and beat makers. A sound engineer is basically the “producer”, they are the ones that arrange and balance the vocals and other instruments. A beat maker simply just makes the beat and sometime the beat makers don’t even be having a good mix and master on their original beat. You still have to tweak the beat to get the bass hitting more harder while staying clean or get the snare to hit a little more harder while staying clean. That comes from the engineer aka producer making tweaks and adjustments to the beat to fit the artists voice. Which is way more complicated than programming a loop. I just don’t like when people who are just simply “beat makers” call themselves producers. It takes wayy more than just making a beat to be considered a producer. Dj Khaled the goat for sure.
The thing i dont understand is why DJ Khaled is in every title name of all these songs that he works on like theyre solely his , can you name a producer in music history that takes most of the credit for the songs, its litereally whack, idc if he pays the artists and beatmakers well, why the fuck arent these beat makers or whatever you want to call them listed in the song titles?
Pretty much another DJ Mustard! The most talented DJ where DJ Quick and DJ Battlekatt a personal friend. They both play instruments, produce and mixx their own records as well! He's very arrogant and boastful!
Yeah basically some shmuck does all the hard creative work, give him the beat and then he rearranges it and puts his name on it. Chancers like this clown are what killed real hip hop and rap.
I’m not sure if you know what you are talking about ? He is just a weird personality, he is a great beat artist and producer. We are lucky he is in the industry? Fortnite kid
Lmfao, no kidding. Anyone with a good taste would take Storch over Khaled. Storch has made a huge impact on music and his beats are million times memorable compared to Khaled.
1000000000% FACTS right there. Funny because Scott Storch also uses software and plugins. He doesn't realize that these plugins recreate real instrument sounds almost to the TEE.
Bro. An Arranger is some one that composes the musical notation arrangment for an instrument around an existing composition that was written by some one else. Think of String Arranger Larry Gold and a 62 piece string section. A Record Producer on the other hand , supervises , directs and controls the recording sessions. They hire, Session Musicans, Arrangers, Composer, Songwriters, Vocalisit etc. They provide a musical insight to the Artist, Musican and Engineer in the studio like Quincy Jones.
Facts. Even Dre's said that artists themselves are the ones who take the direction with the songs. Artists are the ones who turns songs into a hit. The beat can be a banger, but if you have shitty lyrics and a shitty hook, no one's gonna mess with it.
He is kinda right. Producers, excutive producers, sound engineers, DJS, artists all have a diffent role. He brings it togehter like a Chef. Same thing in the movie world the executive producer is not the director or the actor but he brings it all together with his vision. Dj Khaled while annoying does actually do something and has talent.
oof what about this video titled "DJ KHALED MAKING OF...." where you get to watch him drink champagne straight out of the bottle followed by a montage of him rocking out in a studio next to an engineer who is probably doing all the work? ua-cam.com/video/Z82usBZinWU/v-deo.html oh wait....
In terms of royalties, a "beat maker" is considered a music composer. The person who writes the lyrics is the author. The record producer is responsible for the final recording. They all have separate royalty shares. Because he's the executive producer $, he calls the shots, & can finesse his way into any part of it. Alot of great record producers can't play an instrument, but have highly developed ears for musical arrangements, & crafty ways of adding value to their records. With all his success in the music business, he seems to have self-esteem issues because he's not an actual musician, audio engineer, or artist. U made it Khaled... relax & help those who deserve it.
Amazing how he literally broke down what a producer is and y’all are still uninformed Khaled Is A Producer Who was once a beat maker .... there’s a difference
Exactly. Diddy does the same thing Khaled does, it’s really not easy. You need to have the ear, the connections, and work ethic. Not everyone can be a project manager, it’s its own skill set. Producer only means beatmaker in hip-hop. In any other genre, producer is similar to what Khaled’s role is on his records. It’s similar to Hans Zimmer or like how they mentioned Quincy Jones. They don’t actually do the composing, but they’re in charge of an entire team where everyone has a job and the leader has creative control. The leader rearranges elements and makes final decisions, and it’s their responsibility to ensure that it sounds good and everything meshes together. Or think of a movie producer like when Martin Scorsese executive produces a film/TV show. People underestimate the value of people like DJ Khaled, they really don’t get it. They also don’t understand that nearly all hip-hop super producers do the same. I read somewhere that Timbaland doesn’t know how to write music, he just hears the music in his head, sings it, and has his team make it. I don’t know how true this is but it’s irrelevant, because that’s still a very difficult and necessary job that not anyone can do. And it also tells you that what Khaled does is not uncommon, it’s just that Khaled is upfront with it. I got a lot of respect for him.
Dank Sinatra I disagree with the whole “Not everyone can do it.” Anyone can do it, especially if they know music theory. But Easy depends on whether or not they enjoy it or not. I don’t place difficulty on things i enjoy cause the only time i find something difficult is when i don’t enjoy it.
Niggas who work under him are simps and suckers, because Rza, Dj Premier, Pete Rock, Diamond D dont have some fat nigga telling them what and how they should do their music plus getting paid off their work
whether you make beats on a computer or from real hardware, the people really don't care where it comes from especially if its a hit. so I give big ups to all creative artist no matter what method they are using to compose.

Ant 88 No maybe bc not everyone has that opportunity. It is that easy
Well said brother.
its not as black and white as you say, there are different levels of skill, my mum couldnt make even a simple beat and decent melody even if i taught her how to, people are more skilled than others, its not "his skilled and his not"
I still wouldn’t call him a producer or a beat maker he’s more like a man with ideas and connections and gets things moving!

Khaled is really just an executive producer (creative director) that works with music producers and artists to develop records. It's a skill, but it's highly reliant on the the talent and skill of those that he works with. Creative direction won't get you anywhere without great creators.
Bingo!
It's more about quality and quantity being balanced that's why record producers are important. You can have great artists and musicians but if your music isn't professional enough to get through the public eyes most artists would just be underground or one hit wonders.

It's actually funny when he calls beats made on a computer fake when most of the artists he works with use autotune
Auto tune has been around since the voice box so boy stfu
what those have nothing in common lol
@@itsjustme4051 he said that what "beat makers" are doing is fake, it's computer generated. And hes basically calling them talentless. Then what is autotune?, Is it not computer generated?, It's way faker than what "beat makers" are doing. Atleast they know how to make beats. Artists who use autotune can't make records without the help of a computer generated voice. So if you ask me, they have alot in common.
@@SamiDaComposer I'm assuming you're a die hard mumble rap fanboy
You can't actually release a song without autotune.
With everything so digital, a 100% real voice will not match, it needs to be a little digital too.
That's what makes difference between a studio recorded song and live singing.
Relying on it and thinking that I can sing any way I like and autotune will handle it is wrong but using a lot during the mix is important.

It's what you do with it.
ricky v #facts
HPM Boss Uh, what? People who make beats are basically what composers are in an orchestra. Those composers dont know how to play every insturemnt in the orchestra because their job is to create a musical idea. Their job is not to be good at instruments.
Skip Last ok sorry yo burst your bubble but most composers know how yo play half or a little more than half of the instruments...composers are master's of music most composers have to study everything music including a primary and secondary instrument...also to get your degree you have yo know how to play the diff mouth positions and fingering of instruments which is why I get so upset for real composers who don't get there credit for there work

"Oh s*** this beat you presented me is dope gimme that" 😂

But for the two talents to merge, a director has to come in to create the vibration/the feel in the story..DJ Khaled is this director, in the music industry, merging the technical skills of the beat maker with the lyrics/sound of the singer to create a certain vibration and that's why he creates hits.

Always makes Me Laugh till a Wee dribble Piss comes out my Jiggy Jiggy
That's what Pharrell Williams does when he's in the studio working with the Vocalist. A Record Producer is there to help the Artist get the best vocal peformance. The Producer may assist the Vocalist in the song lyrical writing process.
😂😂
“oh shit, this beat you present to me is dope. give me that” 🤣🤣🤣
A beat maker makes beats
A producer is responsible for the entire record in all aspects.
Just per project gigs.
vaughn yep, so a beat maker who makes beats, possibly the least important part of a song should get all the credit?
if his name is dr. luke nah he don't get any credit
Tempted Music You're right on point. He's actually a record producer, a beatmaker is a music producer.
Trumps in what?
Tempted Music yeah a music producer makes music. A record producer takes music that others have made and arranges it into a record
So basically he uses ghostbeatmakers
alx lek he gives credit to all his bestmaker and he pays them handsomely too
did u even watch the video lmaooo
63legendary Yeah I think I'll get Dr Dre and Scott Storch on a track and using my expert knowledge, that will be a good track. Am I DJ Khaled yet?
The thing i dont understand is why DJ Khaled is in every title name of all these songs that he works on like theyre solely his , can you name a producer in music history that takes most of the credit for the songs, its litereally whack, idc if he pays the artists and beatmakers well, why the fuck arent these beat makers or whatever you want to call them listed in the song titles?
Pretty much another DJ Mustard! The most talented DJ where DJ Quick and DJ Battlekatt a personal friend. They both play instruments, produce and mixx their own records as well! He's very arrogant and boastful!
I Love his passion in his work, not too many people have this much Love and experience in their Art. Much Respect.
For what/.. sayin we the best.. And Another One??
and major key, and sometimes just DJ KHALED; also its we da best music
He is not a beat maker or producer he delegates. Major key
More like a supervisor.
producer's delegate
Khaled the delegator
2:52 it takes a great producer like him to steal your beat and take the credit! Damn clown lol
Yeah basically some shmuck does all the hard creative work, give him the beat and then he rearranges it and puts his name on it. Chancers like this clown are what killed real hip hop and rap.
hey yo! watchya mouth
That has to be one of the most unlikeable people on this planet
Yup
Agreed
To consumers of music, the artists in the industry? He’s valuable
I’m not sure if you know what you are talking about ? He is just a weird personality, he is a great beat artist and producer. We are lucky he is in the industry? Fortnite kid
Bro makes among us videos and hating on a nigga that got more money then your whole fam combined
I’ll take Scott storch over this guy
Lmfao, no kidding. Anyone with a good taste would take Storch over Khaled. Storch has made a huge impact on music and his beats are million times memorable compared to Khaled.
Am with you bro❤️
who wouldn't lol
except he is not necessarily a producer, he a is a beat maker, and very good keyboardist,,,,
1000000000% FACTS right there. Funny because Scott Storch also uses software and plugins. He doesn't realize that these plugins recreate real instrument sounds almost to the TEE.
Imagine what would happen if deadmau5 and DJ Khaled met lmao.. mad beef..
Michael E lol, they got beef with each other??
Plz fill me in (pause).
Hahaha Deadmau5 will eat this guy alive.....he takes the credit for everyone elses hard work
Jorge Alejandro Paez this is the best thing I’ve heard all year
that nerd aint shi. sit and chill
"I'm a machine" - DJ Khaled
DJ Khaled is something else
DJ Khaled never gets his due admiration and recognition.
your joking right?
@@unrealgalaxy9669 What do the 3 likes on my comment tell ya?
@@saurabhjain9785 ok ok, was just making sure its a joke. thanks
congratulations dj khaled, you've played yourself
"somtimes i gotta call a guy that play da flute" lmfaooo
“I’m a machine”
“Absolutely”
DJ Khalid is basically just a record label owner who releases the music under his own name
"We the best music" is the only thing, he provides to a song...
😭
True passion for his craft! I aspire to be half as great as he is. It's all in his energy. I love it
if you understood music you would know that he is just a fat liar with connections
🤡
so he is saying that he is just an arranger not a producer?
Both
Gotta love Khaled man 😂 My favorite interview of him!
Honestly, he’s right
“The artists on the song want my songs” yeah because they made it...
Facts. Even Dre's said that artists themselves are the ones who take the direction with the songs. Artists are the ones who turns songs into a hit. The beat can be a banger, but if you have shitty lyrics and a shitty hook, no one's gonna mess with it.
@@kaage8780 Unfortunately a lot ppl listen to hit songs now because of the production not really the artist.
This is coming straight from his heart. Passion baby.
He has some serious high self-esteem, like damn nigga chill he isnt even that good
1:56 when you realise this was a bad idea
Might wanna add 2:55. "great producer like me" haha
Jupiter209 😂😂😂
Lol I’m dead
He is kinda right. Producers, excutive producers, sound engineers, DJS, artists all have a diffent role.
He brings it togehter like a Chef.
Same thing in the movie world the executive producer is not the director or the actor but he brings it all together with his vision.
Dj Khaled while annoying does actually do something and has talent.
Search dj Khaled making a beat. Yields no results
oof what about this video titled "DJ KHALED MAKING OF...." where you get to watch him drink champagne straight out of the bottle followed by a montage of him rocking out in a studio next to an engineer who is probably doing all the work? ua-cam.com/video/Z82usBZinWU/v-deo.html oh wait....
@@EdisonGrovewow🤣🤣🤣🤣🤞
Bruh he's talking like he's the only talented man on earth.
He is so full of shit.
And he ain't even talented at that
No he's not)
In terms of royalties, a "beat maker" is considered a music composer.
Kiowa Brady ignorance is bliss.
