- I am back in Gta 5 trying to Survive The Hunt, as a team of players try to track me down over the course of 24 hours of Gta 5 time, while i try and explode a series of cars around the map.

@@valtersjekabsons Could be. Yeah, I've seen his british driving coming through some time. Once he pulled out of a Garage and drove straight on the left side. This actually got him spotted, and he died shortly after it.

There was no pri by the docks in this one.
The Dilettante is actually a decently spritely car.
I know that if I was playing as the hunted, I would use reverse psychology as much as I could. Including not driving too far from the starting location at the beginning of the game, as it'd be the last thing they'd expect.
Also, drive toward the pris that you just blew up.
Set some prox mines to greet them as they flood out of the holding pen. Those would be good fireworks.
STH is easily the best GTA V content that you can watch on UA-cam!

Broughys random races and gfred are great, especially when he dies and gets annoyed
Neebs is fun when your in the mood for social chaos, if we are shouting out.
But yeah, STH is still my favorite.

I think the custom shop one was the best... an absolute hail mary sort of thing that actually paid off. That truck was very effective though!
@@OldManBadly oh yeah when i saw him first heading towards airport its like hunter guessed he would try to blow Airport & custom shop pri. They set up the truck as road block before.
This is a format I will always watch, even if Alex explains the 100th time how damage might not be synced when he accidentally breaks a window while throwing a sticky bomb to blow up a Pri.
It's just damn entertaining, thanks for making these I know it's a lot of effort.

The reason you stopped getting notifications is because of the business battle. Blowing up cars in a business battle isnt classed as bad sport during those

@@anperson8329 they get a notification its been destroyed but it doesn't tell you who blew it up. And its not as prominent on screen

@@ItsJustGilly it can be a right pain especially with these new business battles that last 30 minutes. One happens every hour and griefiers use it to cause havoc with no paying for vehicles
It's business battle, shit can happen around package.
I once took 2 package from lower level in business battle. It started when someone attacked me, so why not take two package to nightclub?

@@jaheppe2543 No worries. Alternate with snack of your choice, and adjust ratio as needed: 3 to 1, 5 to 1, etc. One could even do it with healthy stuff, but at the cost of being exposed as the weirdo they are.

Just a little tip when using the phone, you can get to Lester’s name faster by pressing left on the dpad twice. It’s a small thing, but in moments of panic it can make a big difference 👍

40:40 You can always turn right on red, unless there is signage that says otherwise. I think that's true in most, if not all states.
US states, not so in most of the rest of the world. In fact, in some countries running a red light means loosing your drivers license should you be either caught or get filmed doing it.
You can even turn left in4 a red light from a one way to a one way if not prohibbited.
You can turn right on red, after stopping. Unless posted other wise.
In Lithuania you can turn right on red if there's a sign with green arrow next to lights. You have to stop at the stop line to let pedestrians and other cars go through and if clear, you can proceed. I think it's the only country in Europe that allow it.
Edit: Nvm. They changed it in 31 Dec 2019.

There has been an update and I notice a change in AI definitely, more of them and doing more things, walking across road, driving into parking lots more often and driving differently.
He really needs to pull up out front of Scotty's house and flip him off from the car just to get the clip for the discussion video.

40:40 Traffic rules vary by state, the game is based on California. You can turn right on a red any time after stopping unless there's specifically a sign indicating no turning right on red.
Lesser known is you can also turn right on a red in any lane, even if it's not the furthest right lane, as long as every lane to your right is a dedicated right turn lane. You can also turn left on a red if you're turning onto a one-way street if you're in the left lane of another one-way street.
I believe I counted 7 or 8 Pri's blown up in this episode AND you survived! Well done good sir, well done indeed

Every time I watch StH I'm like, "ok, here he goes on about the rules again...." and then I imagine some new guy that sumbled upon this channel by accident and it's his first hunt, and I be like "Damn, dude, you are so in for a treat! Here you go, this is what it's all about" ))

Survive the hunt is great.
My favorite part is the beginning, watching all the hunters run around like absolute lunatics. Characters smashing fellow hunters on foot , people doing doughnuts, blowing each other up, lol love it!
One of these hunts, you should try a blend in right where the hounds get released to see how wild they get out of the gate. Thatd be a sight

I was re-watching this one and the thing that struck me was this: What would happen if you drove say 30 second out, parked your car, stolen another one, and drove BACK to the docks area? Maybe in a truck? I can't imagine the hunters even thinking you would be around. They would all go flying past and you could then have quality time to go where you like. Especially good if there is a Pink Pri to get rid of near the docks. Just wait about 4 or 5 minutes for them to be completely on the other side of the map, and boom. Then they run towards you, and you leave... blow up a pri on the other side of town.

You can always turn right on red except when explicitly stated otherwise. You can left turn on red on to a 1 way street
Depends on the municipality actually. Though I think most everyone has gone to right on red, there were a few holdout towns that didn't do it for a while. I think at the state level it's all right on red.
@@geofff.3343 Doesn't really matter. Alex will read the comments here about this, but by the time next month's STH gets filmed it will all have flown out of his head and he'll be back to square one.

I've been binge-watching the StH series in order the past few weeks. It is interesting to see how Alex's strategies have evolved. However, 26 episodes in and the one thing that he does that keeps driving me bonkers (I'm hoping to see this stop at some point) is not ditching the burnt/wrecked car immediately even if it means going on foot for a moment. Driving from Rancho all the way to LSIA with a broken rear windscreen was a much bigger risk than getting out and walking for a spot. At 9:32, right after Blakey took off after hitting him, he could have pulled into that area behind the business and dumped the car (there were a few good cars spawning). On the positive side, I am reminded (and very happy) that Alex isn't a criminal so these things don't come natural to him.😁
You're getting really good at this game. That hot swap in the first 15 was nice.

That last bit with the gun and runing around was exciting, even though it was over. Any chance to make a survive the hunt variant thats more like that? Like no cars and just a much smaller area on the map map?
You would still need to survive 24 hours, and maybe restrict the weapons to be very basic, like pistols and shoties only.
Could you change / create a new character, of the female persuasion, to make it more difficult for them to look inside the car and go ‘oh, that’s an Alex’ ?

Because you've triggered a Business Battle, you're not getting Bad Sport or insurance charges. The players still get notifications that their cars have blown up
GTA AI Driver school:
"OK Mrs. Battersby, I want you to approach the junction and bring the car to a stop. Now look both ways. See anything coming? Yes? Good. Pull out in front of it at high speed."

Survive The Hunt: Pink Pri Edition! You and the hunters must all drive the pink pris AND you still have to blow them up
That should be the next Hunt the Survivors, all of them in Pink Pris and Failrace in a black mad max style hummer
How would he blend in to traffic then? Alex needs to use NPC traffic vehicles. Nothing more, nothing less. Blending in is just not possible otherwise.

@@ashesofjames I still think that would be too tricky. We saw in a FH4 STH episode that he was able to impersonate Ninetails who didn't have voice chat, and the hunters figured him out before the end but it was too late. I think in GTA, with everyone on voice chat, and the hunters looking for a specific car, and Alex blowing up Priis to give away his location, it would be easy for him to be found.

If you're going to steal a parked car, go for a convertible. They aren't locked when parked and the alarm doesn't go off. This sometimes includes ruiners and really any car without a solid roof

I was watching these survive the hunt videos during my first year at uni, after getting pneumonia from unloading trucks in the coldest winter to pay for my shitty rented room.
Now I'm here again avoiding writing my thesis for my final year in uni.

This was the best survive the hunt you’ve all done. You can tell you’re all getting experienced, since you getaway better and they also hunt better and have better tactics. Do more than once a month, pleaseee!

Quite possibly my new favourite, just because the hunters are always present but you're able to outfox them time and again. I tip my hat to the truck driver though.

I've noticed since the summer update, which brought a lot of QOL updates, AI act more natural. More parking, more crossing roads, more entering and exiting parking lots, turn signals, more AI around stores, etc. I've also noticed more variety in spawn sets.
Should get one of the hunters to record then we could watch each perspective

Crazy Idea: Find a pink car during the set-up time and camp it. Blow it up as soon as the hunters are released and it is legal to do so, and then use your fast starting car to dash for the hills before they can respond to the scene.

Since Los Santos is based on Los Angeles (and San Andreas on California), here's some California road tips:
1) unless there is a red arrow or sign explicitly telling you that a right-on-red is not allowed, you can
2) Stop signs are a suggestion. The AI doesn't stop, IRL humans definitely don't stop, coming to a full stop and pausing to look both ways just makes you stand out.
3) You keep crossing solid white lines, especially near bus stops. Those aren't supposed to be crossed, and the ones near bus stops are marked out to give the buses room to stop while not blocking traffic.
4) Unless otherwise marked with paint-on-tarmac, if there is a single turn lane into multiple lanes, you can pick which one you go into.
There's plenty more to the nuances of driving in California, especially L.A., but those are things I've noticed you doing that the clashes with the AI and reality.

I just recently started watching the Survive the Hunt videos and they are hilarious. Quick tip, you can turn off the radio in the options menu, that way you don't have to turn off the radio every time you get into a new car.

40:52 "Right On Red" is always allowed unless there is a sign specifically prohibiting it - and those signs don't exist in Los Santos. So "Right On Red" is always allowed in LS.

In Cali you must make a complete stop at a right-hand red before you may make the turn. Unless its a yield sign. But for red stop lights you may go right once you have made a "full stop". I use quotes because we're talking about California lol.

When traffic spawns for 1 screen also has a preset routine to go about, when 2 or more players are close different routines come in play, that is why "traffic has gone mad"

You can turn right at all red lights unless there is a red right arrow, or there is a "no turn on red" sign.
Bonus fact. When turning left, you can't go on green unless oncoming traffic is clear, but you can turn at any time as long as it's a green arrow.

US driving rules for right hand turns:
1. You can turn right on red lights, but must yield to on-coming traffic. Basically stop, check on-coming traffic. Then go if clear.
2. If there is a right turn light (rare) or a sign that says no right turn on red (or just a picture. More common).. you cannot turn until the light is green.
