“Abbott Elementary” feels more like “Good Times” than this ““Good times”” reboot.

@@UniqoWilliams No I mean Abbott Elementary managed to capture the struggles that can come within an inner city setting WITHOUT being a stereotypical mess like this reboot. It’s a wholesome sitcom revolving around a group of people working together to overcome the obstacles that come from a broken system. While events outside of their control can make it unreasonably harder to accomplish goals they never stop trying and they do it for the kids and community of Abbott. Even when things are bad they find a way to hang in there until the next good time comes. For me that’s reminiscent of how I saw the original Good Times, so the school house show with no connection to Good Times captured the essence of Good Times better than whatever this reboot is currently displaying…which is wild. They really could have just called this something else all together. It feels like a ghetto adult SNL parody of the Proud Family not Good Times.
