Are the $300 meta ray-bans WORTH ALL THE HYPE? this is my mini review of the popular new smart glasses after some real-world use #smartglasses #techtok #meta
Turn off the ‘Hey Meta’ voice activation and only use the three finger activation on the right stalk for the AI and you double your battery life. Mine last pretty much a full day with light use of the tech. 👍🏼
I had the original Stories and I now have the Meta. I love them. They look and feel just like a regular pair of Ray-Bans. I do agree though it’s room for improvement.
Hi, I just got them. They turn on when you remove them from the charging case but there’s an on/off switch by the hinge so you can manually keep them turned off
I rlly want to pick some up but I can’t wear them without having to remove my prescription eyeglasses (moderate-severe nearsightedness), so while all the tech is cool I can’t see much of anything while wearing them. Would be cool if they could make attachable lenses like on the Vision Pro but I guess I’m asking for too much now
Why not get your prescription in the lenses? I ordered a pair at the beginning of the week with my prescription, and am eagerly awaiting them to get in.
@@tdrg_ I also added the transitions to the prescription lenses so that ideally they can be sunglasses outside and clear inside. We’ll see how that works out. With insurance, I paid $390.
in my mind they don't do what i would use smart/ar glasses for: displaying stuff around you. also they're facebook ai products, nothing you should let close to your data
It’s wild that they’re the same price as regular non-smart frames Just goes to show that YOU are the product, it’s free because you’re giving the Zuck a cctv feed to everything you do and everywhere you go
Also would you recommend the iPad Pro m4 11” with 256gb of storage for someone looking to get into photo and video editing and maybe even some graphic design. Btw I’m going to 8th grade and am planning to be a part of the news team for my school and I also want to film most of the stuff for them too since I have an iPhone 15 pro. Another thing, I was also wanting to get the pencil pro and Magic Keyboard with that too. Do you think this setup is fine or do you think that I would be better off with one of the m3 MacBook airs with 256gb of storage and 8gb of ram with Final Cut Pro preinstalled
@@WillBowers do you think it would be cheaper to buy the MacBook where you can do the one time purchase of Final Cut Pro or should I see if Final Cut Pro 2 on iPad is a one time payment. Only reason I’m asking right now is because I’m trying to figure out whether I should ask for a iPad Pro or MacBook Air for Christmas
@@WillBowers or would a better but older option that be a M1 Pro MacBook Pro 14” with 14gb of ram and 512gb of storage be a better alternative. Only reason I consider the M1 Pro is because @mkbhd uses the M1 Max and is perfectly fine with it
@@WillBowers all of these things that I have asked you about are all in about the 1300 to 1700 usd range so just trying to figure out which is the best for the money
Future Improvements: 👉🏾 If I ask Meta... what ☝🏽 the weather is going to be, I should be able to SEE 👀 a vision from the frame. If I ask, how far am I from Georgia to Florida, I should be able to SEE 👁👌🏾 that vision, inside the frame. A little advice to RayBan: 👉🏾"Try... ...HARDER!!👈🏾
Massive migraines from mine I’m assuming it’s the technology sitting directly next to my temples . Returning asap not worth the pain cool POV shots though.
@@no.you.they never said it was because of the radiation. It could be the vibration of the speakers sitting so close their temples if they were using them, or they might simply not be used to wearing glasses, so therefore having something sitting by their temples for long periods of time causes them migraines. There are other normal causes for what could’ve happened. They never mentioned radiation
@@nutella_wewerehere “im assuming its the technology sitting directly next to my temples.” you dont need to oppose me for the sake of opposing. speaker vibration would AT MOST only be felt on the ear for little amounts of time (as thats where glasses sit). also, how does them not being used to glasses relate at all to the quote above? what “other natural causes” could be related to technology sitting near the temples. you dont make any sense and this person doesnt understand that technology being near you does not affect you whatsoever. again, dont oppose just because you can, only oppose if you have a reasonable argument
@@no.you. sir , I’m well aware of how technology works especially EMF . Also I have normal glasses that don’t cause migraines … what I spoke on is my testimony and from the research I’ve done a lot of people feel the same especially electromagnetic sensitive people . I’d suggest you try them for yourself so you don’t think my warning is a troll . God Bless you
carter: hell yeah they are
I got mine today, and they’re honestly so much better than I was expecting.
That was literally my first thought once I started using them! They actually do live up to the hype in a lot of ways 😂
@@WillBowerssame here! Best piece of portable tech I’ve ever owned! Bought a second pair 🔥🔥
i just came back from Lenscrafters got my coming in a couple day can't wait.

The camera is pretty nice
I see Vancouver 😮
How do they turn on and off ? Are these the only style glasses they provide? 😊

I saw people at a theme park wearing these to record roller coasters where you couldn’t have a phone or camera. Pretty cool idea

I swear to God I had no idea that was possible with these

CLIP THAT CLIP THAT the man says while fondling his glasses
Some similar glasses are the Razer Anzu glasses, but they only have built in speakers. I'd say those are a great alternative to people on a budget
Hi, just wondering which type of Meta Ray-Ban are u using? Also where did u buy it, i'm currently in Metro Vancouver too
What style and size are those in this video?? I need to find out my size
I got mine, they are pretty awesome.
Yes
Agreed

Imo you’ll have success with either of those options. The MacBook might be more universal for doing pro workflows but the iPad is more fun to use

I tried those once in europe they were so fricking cool
Glad you agree. Pretty fun little gadget
Which type of ray-ban meta is it, WIll?
I’m excited to see where this tech heads in the future, do you see this as the ultimate AirPods replacement?
I saw one headphones probably Bose where you take sunglasses on your head and listening to music because speakers on both side.
How much do they cost?
Did you watch the vid
$300
Just wait until Apple turns it to its “new” Apple Vision Pro
All robots on the street XD
What are your daily glasses? 😁

there is no way that tech would do anything to you. the radiation from tech is even more harmless than light

Do you live in Vancouver, Canada ?
So it’s not just 15 second video clips like the Snapchat glasses?
