I got a pair this time last year as a xmas present for myself and while they’re not mind boggling like the Vision Pro is, it's a lot more practical and useful. The number of special memories I’ve caught and filmed of my daughter and wife because I had these sunglasses on are priceless.

Waiting on mine to come in with my prescription. I will use as daily glasses but also got another pair of glasses for when I charge them. I fish alone and in a kayak and it will be so nice to take a pic without handling my phone.
This is on the right track. I think any Augmented Reality headset needs to look the exact same as a pair of sunglasses or nobody will wear it. This tech has a long way to go...
I was able to capture an incident quickly with my meta rayban which i wouldn't otherwise if i had to take out my phone, launch camera app and hit record.
Honestly, after getting a Quest 3, i was completely blown away with the mixed reality. Yes the passthrough quality is awful, but i was walking around my house with a computer on my head, and leaving screens around the building. I can definitely see this being the future. Considering we have super computers in our pocket (relatively speaking), all we need is the glasses, and some kind of solid wireless connectivity. I'll 100% jump in then.
I am about to start my Bachelors in Berlin, so I would love to purchase on of these to either use them during the lectures or just to travel the city around while the camera records em'. Are they suitable for such tasks?

Be Aware: Many automobile manufacturers treat car windows with UV protection. This reduces transition lenses from making their full transition to darker shades when you are using the glasses in your automobile
I got them and returned after a month, the main issue is the battery. They need to improve on that because I was only able keep them on my head for just less then 4hrs and have to keep putting them in the case to charge and that is sooooo annoying. Keep in mind that I used them for just normal wear no heavy use. I would really wait for an updated version.
The Metas are a technnological marvel and I recently got a pair. Nevertheless they weigh about 3x as much as the ones I used to use. It would be interesting to hear if you exclusively used these or if you used other ordinary glasses, or perhaps contacts as well. Could the Metas be your only glasses? Did you use multiple pairs of Metas? If you only had one pair, and used other glasses, had you become so used to the features that you missed them when using other glasses

Stupid question maybe, but do you have to view your video content on another device? I'm assuming there is no playback directly through the lenses of thes glasses. Also, aren't there privacy violation issues in filming people without their permission? Although I suppose there's no difference from a phone… Wish someone would make these as corrective lenses.

If only if they can allow customisation on the lens to make it for people with short or far sighted that act like an actual glasses then I'll buy them. I got no use for a pair of Ray Ban Meta AI if I can't see without my glasses
I got these for myself once they went on sale for Black Friday week. On top of a gift card I ended up paying as much as I would for a regular pair of Ray Bans. If you can get it for less it’s worth it

With the way it’s designed to look exactly like sunglasses, I don’t see much of an improvement for battery. 6-8 hours at most.

The video recording needs image stabilization badly. Also video recording is limited to 3 minutes. That's not enough.

It won't record. It tracks the light feeding into that lens and the light needs to match the light feeding into the camera lens.
