Startup, takeoff and landing.
Sorry for the shaky video in some parts, I was using a pocket camera for the video. Also the sound of those mighty engines is not recorder as they should.

Kkkkkk!!!! Era lindo!,esse trambolho de ferro voador! E meados dos anos 60 morava no Agreste Pernambucano no Município de Feira Nova Sítio Açudinho,a 100 kilômetros de Recife, e ali era uma rota dos Aviões que vinham das Cidades do Sertão em direção a Capital. Era disnumbrante naquela época se avistar os aviões no Céu! A maioria era de pequeno porte, mas de vez em quando passava um C3 DESSE TIPO! Era emocionante com seu barulho inconfundível! Suas asas brutas! De um Designer pontuada! Vindo num vôo ronceiro preguiçoso que parecia ser arrastar!Kkkkkk! !!!.era emocionante de ver! Quanto tempo! Como tudo evoluiu tão rápido! Brigado! Parabéns pela pastagem!

God, I love the DC 3 - the design of the wings and the " dorsal fin" (as I like to call it LOL), the sound of the engines, everything!!! It's my altime favourite airplane!!

Yes visually everything about this aircraft is just beautiful!! Never tire at looking at one of these superb flying machines as it flys by & we have one ZK-AWP that comes in here a lot!! (ex NZ National Airways Corp. 1947-1976 & it's recently been repainted in airline livery again & looks a million bucks!!

In Uruguay we have no domestic air service nowadays. When we had in the fifties/sixties, they were operated with DC-3s, often from muddy aistrips. Airline was PLUNA, which boasted a superb safety record. Unfortunately it went bankrupt in 2012.

But I must say that who ever laid out the parking boundaries should have had his or her arse kicked.
The airfield (EFLA) is very small, usually used for sky diving, gliders/tows and some private/ultralight pilot training. Also couple of hangars for small planes. This was a special aviation event with a lot of people, I think they did a good job, considering the amount of visitors in such a small field :)

Era mesmo! Um barulho inconfundível que até hoje parece ter sido ontem! Se passaram mais 50 anos! E aquele imenso pássaro cinzento de asas duras e um ronco estridentes! Insurdecedor dos seus potentes pistões! Parecem zoar ainda hoje nos altos e baixos daquelas Serras adormecidas nos seus Dezaignes revestidas com suas florestas tropicais! E matas de baraúnas , Pau darcos , Catingueiras e outras variedades do Serrado! Mas a metamorfose do tempo transformou tudo! Matas! Serras! Montanhas! Aviões! Etc.Só restou as boas lembranças! E Saudades! Kkkkkk!!!!!!

I think they should reopen production DC-3.
... and why not take heed of how Basler 67 is superior for rugged arctic transport? What would it take to build a factory for "new-age DC-3"? NDC-3? I am afraid it would end being an expensive plane, so no customers, the factory would go bankrupt.
