Please take out the music because the thunder from the engines is better for fans of DC 3 +47 and I don´t understand music from all the people sending files of this great plane, and don´t understand why people won´t listen to the old Pratt&Whitney engines :) :) It´s a beautiful sound and listen to the roar OMG :) :)
For some reason I always love it that even with all the safety and maintenance we have on aircraft, the airplane does not fly without the captain being satisfied its airworthy based on his own visual inspection.
I flew with this beautifull aircraft today, wow what an experience!! Under low clouds she was bouncing and it was just the greatest experience you could imagine.. Running her engines just before take of you feel that this is just not only a machine but much more then that.
The sad case of Air France flight 447 is a example of pilots being too accustomed to automatic controls. pilots who knew how fly a dc3 in bad weather conditions would be less likely to make the same mistake. The DC3 is a machine for real pilots.
We flew on this beautifull aircraft on the 4th of august for the first and unfortunately the last time. We enjoyed it very much and we would like to thank the crew and all the people from the DDA for all their services and dedications all through the decades they operated their aircrafts , like the PH-DDA ( we flew with her) PH-DDS ( first taxitrip on the apron followed by actual flight over the terrain of Operation"Market garden") PH-DDZ ( Doornroosje) trip to Leeuwarden military airfield for airshow and return to AMS flying above the traffic jam on the interstate A7 with a glass of white wine in your hand is EPIC!!. And last of the story is the final flight onboard the PH-PBA.. a flight over old trading cities in the Netherlands. It was a true feast to be onboard this DC3/C47. Dear peolpe of the DDA , THANK YOU FOR ALL AND EVEYTHING You made our experiences with old aircrafts a very much loved treasure to remember for always. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💕💕💕💕💕💕
Thanks for your sharing this great story. 😃 We flew again one week prior to your flight (on 27.07.24). Hopefully the new Video will be out on Sunday this or next week. So stay tuned for a new Video 😃
Muy hermoso! Gratos recuerdos.
The Hunter actually this aircraft was bought by Prince Bernhard, our former Queen Juliana’s husband, shortly after WW2. Since it was his first, it was called Prince Bernhard Alpha. Until 1960 it was used extensively by our government and royal family and often Prince Bernhard flew it himself. In the late 90s it was restored back to flying condition to honor the Prince, who was a honorary member of the Dutch Dakota Association until his death in 2004. So this is not just any Dakota!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ My next flight will be on board the DC3 with Classic airlines 👏👏👍👍👍👍 the first time I flew on board the DC3 was in 1968 (8 years old) !!!! ❤️👍👍👍
Actually she is a C-47.(double cargo doors and no tail cone) But that's okay, she's still beautiful. Thanks for the video. Did anyone else see the Cessna 337 at 2:32? That was some aggressive flying. Reminded me of Vietnam and the FAC O2s.
Helaas zonder reuk... Volgend digitale probleem .. Destijds bijna ingelijfd als T.D.-er... Helaas... Als deeltijd oliebol 4 avonden per week present.
If the locks and pins aren't removed you suffer the same fate as the venerable G-AMSM did at Lydd! The only remaining part is the nose and cockpit at the Brenzett (Romney Marsh, UK) museum.
The gust locks are sometimes removed during the walk around, but when it is windy we leave them in until the pilots are in the cockpit. The technical guys then remove them before engine start.
Great video, only thing spoiling it was the music which was pointless, we already have 'music' in the form of the DC's engines, which is what vintage aviation enthusiasts enjoy hearing! But otherwise very good.
Please follow on Insta. Thank you! 🫶 instagram.com/videospotter.de
*this is so underrated more people need to see this!*
This video really is for dc3 lovers
This plane will never stall
I love it
Lots of work went in to your video👍
Thanks mate!

O barulho dos motores me acalma e faz dormir
I love this aircraft. So much history. I flew this type for SAT.
What a wonderfull landscape.Wowwwww
That's northern Germany at the Baltic Sea
For some reason I always love it that even with all the safety and maintenance we have on aircraft, the airplane does not fly without the captain being satisfied its airworthy based on his own visual inspection.
Just like it was 75 years ago! “Wonderful”. Thanks for sharing!
Music to my ears, can spend hours and hours listening DC-3s taking off with the R-1830s at full bore.
Same here 😌

Great, mate! I agree 100%. I also love the DC-3. It's so much fun to fly with it. No Computer, just zwo men and a Plane. That's real flying 😍
This good vid is an excellent memory of my several DC-3 flights.
The sad case of Air France flight 447 is a example of pilots being too accustomed to automatic controls. pilots who knew how fly a dc3 in bad weather conditions would be less likely to make the same mistake. The DC3 is a machine for real pilots.
It is the blueprint aircraft of every nowadays constructed aircraft. Douglas was a genius!
The pilots and passengers are very brave traveling in this old plane.
This old aircraft is in excellent condition and well maintenanced. It's not a bigger risk to fly with this plane as in every normal Airliner 😊
Muy bueno gracias por mostrarnos este vídeo. EL gran Douglas DC 3 mi avión antiguo preferido.
I LOVE IT WHEN I WAS A KID I FLEW ON IT !
Best video ever for the dc3
Thanks mate!
Brilliant film thank you....
got a chance to fly on this plane today, unforgettable experience.
Yeah it was a unforgettable experience for me as well!
Fantastic folks. Congrats. Hello from Brazil.

Absolutely awesome love those Dakotas
Me, too! 😃👍
Re: the registration PH-PBA... P rovincetown B oston A irline? I had the privilege to fly these in passenger service in the early '70's. Loved it!!!

Mooi!
2:32
I spy with my little eye
Something that starts with V! 😍
Most balanced aircraft of century
So, whose job is it to pull all the gust locks and other plugs (remove before flight)?
I saw the name of the flight attendants !!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ My next flight will be on board the DC3 with Classic airlines 👏👏👍👍👍👍 the first time I flew on board the DC3 was in 1968 (8 years old) !!!! ❤️👍👍👍

DC3 seems a wonderful airplane to fly
Definitely 😃👍
Super! 👍🏼
I remember when we operated eight C47s and two Miles Marathons and later three C4M Argonauts. Guess the airline.

Saw it, but couldn't positively identify it. I did wonder whether it was Bronco Demo Team with their OV-10B?
Nádhera,krása.

Fantastico
Nice Capt!
When it done to take off..what both of that pilots use a AP button..or manually handle that plane ? Anyway this is a nice vid maan...
Mega tolles Video - da steckt sicher einiges an Arbeit drin! Super gut geworden, Daumen weit hoch dafür!
Nice, i saw it fly over!
Endlich!!! :) Lange drauf gewartet! ;)
This must be a pilots dream job.
Love those rumbling radial engines. PH-PBA regularly flies over my hometown.
Nice amd easy take off.
Did. I miss it, or the gear pins stayed on? Flight control locks were not removed. I know it was just a video, but still.
The gear pins stay in until the pilots are in the cockpit. The technical guys then remove them before engine start!
If the locks and pins aren't removed you suffer the same fate as the venerable G-AMSM did at Lydd! The only remaining part is the nose and cockpit at the Brenzett (Romney Marsh, UK) museum.
Unglaublich gut 👍🏻
Was für ein schönes Flugzeug...
Brings back memories from childhood, when I travelled on Aero (later Finnair) DC 3 Finland.
Great video! How many pax in this DC-3?
Thanks mate. I think we were 12.
Hammer Video mit fantastischen Aufnahmen!Echt genial mit den Cockpit Aufnahmen!Daumen hoch!Gruss inselvideo!

WHERE can we have information to purchase tickets for the flight tour ? Where are you departing from ? Flight attendant on board ???
A flight attendant is on board. Tickets: dutchdakota.nl/de/einen-flug-buchen/
Got to be on my bucket list, fly on the mighty DC3.
Fantástico essa aeronave.
QUE MARAVILHA ESSE BESOURÃO LEVANTANDO VOO
Gutes Video, danke Videospotter.
JUST A M A Z I N G
From around 9:34, these 2 pilots were shaking violently. Why? Is it standard procedure? :))
Great Video and very well shot.
DAKOTA (dc3) o melhor avião a hélice do mundo . Desde Portugal , um abraço .............
Oh ok I was just watching and did not know your routine .
No Problem mate! Thanks for watching
Pasti hebat.
This plane is rare now
Imortal this plane Will Last forever
When do they remove the gust locks? I thought that was during the walk around.
The gust locks are sometimes removed during the walk around, but when it is windy we leave them in until the pilots are in the cockpit. The technical guys then remove them before engine start.
I see you are doing a Pre flight and you didn’t pull the pins ?
Don't worry - both the clamps and the gear pins will be removed by the ground crew, stored on board and checked by one of the pilots!
Correct 👍
i loved this.
beautiful country.
CO pilot did a ramp check, but did not remove Gust Locks.
Don't worry, they are removed by the ground crew!
Magnífico y con buena música
Echt geiles Video.
Coisa linda maravilhoso
this sound make me crazy !
Why has the first officer 4 stripes? Never seen this before.
Art Rose cuz he isnt a first officer xd
Iamgp but he should remove a stripe. Now its unsure who is in charge.if there are passengers
The pilot in the left seat is upgrading to the position of captain, the pilot in the right seat is his instructor.
The problem with this video is that there are not enough commercials in it.
I saw no commercials...lol.
Que maravilla ver volar estos nobles aviones
fantastic
Well maintained aircraft
Is there an autopilot on this plane?
I'm sure there is no Autopilot
isnt it dangerous to fly a plane with square windows becuz of the pressuer?
The DC-3 cabin is not pressurized. 😃
Wunderbahr
Awesome video mate!
nice smooth fly
Grandeous Bird. I love Bombardier though
Not flaps ??
No flaps are used for take-off, but flaps are used for landing!
Egine 18 cylinders. What fuel used?
Av Gas 100 LL.
Coco de pombo
Great video, only thing spoiling it was the music which was pointless, we already have 'music' in the form of the DC's engines, which is what vintage aviation enthusiasts enjoy hearing! But otherwise very good.
It's not just music... IT'S A SYMPHONY
@@largesoda1729 exactly. It’s an R1830 symphony!
Why do they fly at cruise with full mixture ?
Serge Verbruggen i think that's because they were still climbing... engine RPM and manifold pressure are both in climb setting too
Correct... they go to Auto-Lean after a few minutes in cruise!
Meu sonho voar num dacota dc 3 adoro
