Doing the math, 16.3 billion to generate 1000 jobs, you could make them all multi millionaires 16.3 million each. If you think it would pay off in time, if they all made $100,000 a year, you could pay 1000 people for 163 years. I'm not seeing the benefit. What if they brought all their own workers?

Battery factory for an already incredibly subsidized industry that uses strip mining and will be dead blocks in 15 years in ideal conditions that aren't suited to Canada's climate that don't change global warming that is already siphoning your money away with carbon tax that will import foreign workers because Canadians aren't even trained to build the factory, let alone the batteries, to create bi-directional charging in your home (which will really be government owned apartment complexes in the future) so that your car is now a part of the power grid and the government can decide how essential your trip outside your 15 minute walkable city is. And trudeau is throwing more money at that. Oh, and then child indoctrination from their first words. Yay

I agree Tanner. Our Mom stayed home and we were raised with values and morals and have wonderful memories of our growing up years. That is gone now with both parents working, kids dropped off in daycare or raised by Nannies from countries where they cannot even speak English. Kids are given phones and iPads tot kept them occupied. So sad.

I could say alot about the 2 parents working thing I'll try to be brief. In the sixties ..the beginning of Women's Lib starting and gaining momentum women decided they wanted to earn their own money and be independent...I dont have a big problem with that of course when you are single as single women have always worked...however when you have children the scenario changes...post 1970 the majority of mothers went back to work and left their children with for the most part strangers. I did that for a while sporadically but then became a single mom and went on government assistance for a short time until my kids were fulltime in school then went back to work. My kids needed me and they need a mum or a dad to be there for them now until they start grade 1. The Women's Lib movement made stay at home mothers feel like they were missing something when in fact the working women were the ones who were missing something far more important.
