It's both adorable and sad how Camilo shifts into his interpretation of Bruno as a defense mechanism to be intimidating.. Especially when it's in front of Bruno himslef
@@doritodorito492 I could imagine him doing that once he's bonded more with Bruno and he'd feel it wouldn't aid him at all as a defense mechansim, like now he's not only upset, scared or angry, but now he also feels guilty for depicting his family in such a bad light. And with his whole theme being him learning to just be himself, he'd probably create a spooky version of himself to use either for show or as a defense mechanism to ward off perceived danger
Man I've kinda wondered why he used his scary interpretation of what he thought Bruno was like when he was arguing with him. This is a really interesting analysis of him using it a defense mechanism to be intimidating.
just rewatched and noticed all the little details on Camilo's "evil" depiction of Bruno, with the paler skin, pointed ears, and sharp, inhuman teeth. With the giant frame and bright green eyes, it definitely makes Bruno look less like an unfortunate bringer of bad omens and more resembling a monster or demon
Well, Spanish sentences are out of order when translated without trying to switch words around. Like when saying the color of a shirt. “Esta camisa azul” translates to “This blue shirt” but without the order switched, it says “this shirt blue”
AWWW THAT'S ADORABLE AND THIS FEED ME AND MY HEADCANON ABOUT THEM BEING BESTFRIEND-RELATIVES Cuz I always imagine that they had a really strong bond together before he left and then trying to(and succesing) build up that bond again
As for the Spanish used, it's not your fault, of course, since you didn't write the comic. I wish the non-Spanish-speaking community would quit slapping Spanish words so much into Encanto fanworks; the movie is set in Colombia--THEY ARE ALREADY SPEAKING SPANISH. It makes no sense for the characters to speak long strings of Spanish, and the words used in the film were illustrative of culturally specific things, such as Bruno's "sana, sana, colita de rana" thing or Agustin saying "miercoles". If people are going to use Spanish, they should research it, research dialects, research slang, research the culture. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. - a pasty white woman

Imagine him ditching that form and creating a new "scary Camilo" form instead.

It's so adorable Bruno hand knitted a ruana for Camilo ;-;
It fits his character so well
And Camilo saying 'im a big idiot- 😭"
That was so cute. The Spanish word were a little bit off (like they didn't make sense in the sentence). But it was really nice I loved it.
Thank you!
