HACKSMITH PROJECT MEETING: "Okay, on the subject of the grappling hook, let's put a switch to go up and down" "Let's make the up switch go down and the down switch go up" "I like it" *Applause*
As much as it sounds hilarious, it makes sense haha. *Not to be a geek here and spoil the joke* but when you are going up, you can't really have your right thumb push up cause it's obviously uncomfortable and probably impractical to keep it the other way around. I was always wondering how the ascend descend mechanic worked. This made sense lol
It's done!!! Are you guys excited for the big test video? Might take a few weeks to properly film and edit, but you guys are going to love it. Mark my words, it'll be another Captain America Shield success video! TO 2 MILLION SUBS AND BEYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOND!
Dear James Hudson, I am writing to thank you for not only making amazing content in your videos but also for sparking my love of engineering. Since I started watching your videos, not so very long ago, I was captivated by the amazing world of engineering, I am not just interested I am obsessed! I have now entered loads of competitions like the fluid power challenge, you have to build a working crane out of only wood and syringes, I have also helped my old school apply for a grant for a 3D printer. Really I am just trying to say thanks, for everything. You have done more to my life than I ever thought someone I have never met who lives on the other side of the world could have. Thank you. Yours sincerely, Joe Bradstreet

the Hacksmith I entered the sword giveaway and I really like some of the swords on that website!! By the way, keep up the great videos, I really like your channel!!
I hope the part I made holds up too. I didn't actually know where it was going before making it. I assume the kevlar will slowly abrade the aluminum as well, but at least it will take a lot longer.
Well considering the other part is Delrin, I think the aluminum will hold up! Thanks for making it for us, we can't wait to install it and get going on the big video! =)
I've been watching your videos for about 9 months now, and when I was into high school in September I decided to make metalwork as one of my classes to learn engineering
I remember watching a video about a garbling hook a couple of years ago and in that video they said there is no motor powerful enough to pull a man up that you could hold in your hand. And now a few years later we got the motors to do it. It is always cool to get reminded at how fast we are developing new things.
I don’t get how every video on UA-cam gets so many dislikes 181 people disliked this at the minute of posting this Why? This is a brilliant video like a lot of videos on UA-cam 181 different people didn’t like it? Or maybe they did like it and just put a dislike on it instead for a laugh
Alot of people complain about the time it takes for hacksmith to release a new video, just think about it like this: If Batsmith uploaded a new video every few days, he would lose his video's charm. Its better to like hacksmith and enjoy his videos than to not watch them at all.
Hacksmith, could I ask, where did you learn all this stuff?! how did you learn how so many different things work, from things like induction heating to exactly what electronics to use on builds like this? Did you study physics? I was just wondering, because I would love to know all this stuff. If by some chance you happen to see this, and reply, thanks in advance!
Good question Liam Corbett! I've been making things ever since highschool and tech class. After that, I studied engineering at a college, check out my video on it: ua-cam.com/video/XcICWGiqmCM/v-deo.html For more information you can also check out the FAQ on my website! www.thehacksmith.ca/faq/
Hey Hacksmith! Love the content and keep up the good work! Also one real quick thing, I know this isn't related to anything really, but... I'm sorry dude you really need a haircut. Lol
hey man i just wondering to fix that tangle issue could you 3d print a part that has all the the strands in a centered area? hope you see my comment everyone upvote so that he will see please, THANK YOU

Omg. I'm so impressed. I want to be Batman!!! You are living the life. It's too bad I don't have lots of extra money or I'd so hire you to make working props for my superhero LARP group!!! Well done!!!!
THIS IS AMAZING!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!Of all the inventions, no one would make a grappling hook. BUT YOU DID!!! That is awesome!! uuu... could i have it?
really awesome you guys! here's a idea so there isn't much stress on your wrist when you grapple, it needs some sort of harness for your waist and back also on your legs too. eliminate the stress on your arm completely lol
THIS IS SO DAMN EPIC! great job man! u really take it to the next level with this thing and your engineer skills. if Fox dies, you can easily replace him!
I can't wait to see this thing in reall action! but i can't even imagine how bad the weather must be in Kitchener if it's this bad down south in Toronto
I like this man’s designs and how confident he is in any build 😮 Not to forget he looks a lot like Ryan Gosling if he had combat skills like Ryan Gosling he’d really be more Batman.

Hello Hacksmith you've inspired me to become an engineer but there are many different sections in the world of engineering so I was wondering what your focus was in engineering.
Good question Noah Carriere! I've been making things ever since highschool and tech class. After that, I studied engineering at a college, check out my video on it: ua-cam.com/video/XcICWGiqmCM/v-deo.html For more information you can also check out the FAQ on my website! www.thehacksmith.ca/faq/

Max Himbigger ikr
Takes a few hours to get onto trending at least, there's still hope
This isn't the big video yet I don't think. The next one where the guys finish it and do some crazy tests is probably going to absolutely explode.

It's one most long awaited episode. I had been really waiting for this one, hope it will get complete and working perfectly in the next episode.
