He was a terrible king, but he was brutally necessary for House Targaryen's survival. He demonstrated the full destruction that dragons could wreak across Westeros, and by the time he died, most people were sick of conflict and strife. And because it was Maegor that did much of the dirty work on the Faith Militant, Jaehaerys was able to start on a fresh page, disband it and maintain peace, while also upholding Targaryen marriage traditions with his Doctrine of Exceptionalism.

@@herbthompson8937welllllllllll, he killed two of his nephews with one being the rightful heir to the throne. So from a family standpoint he’s pretty horrible also. Kind of hard saying that he saved them without knowing what aegon would have been like as king. By all accounts aegon came off as pretty honorable and determined.
There is something wrong with Meagor, Visenya and Tyanna...like seriously. They were up to some weird ass shit.😂 Maegor was a necessary evil of course, but I wonder why there was such a big difference berween him and Aenys. Were they really not Aegon' sons ? Or is it a matter or upbringing ?

@stefanciocan1605 I'm assuming it wasn't that they waited and maybe the incest that started a hundred years, if not longer, beforehand had something to do with it???? It's said Aegon was sleeping with Rhaenys regularly, so I assume they weren't waiting

Back when i first started out it was mainly due to the fact there is a lot of places that don't have any art to show. The use of a map was maybe the best choice i made with the channel, followed by making a custom map that was crazy hi-res and detailed.

Rhaenys and Visenya are about as opposite as it gets, so it makes sense their sons would be complete opposites as well
