  • In 1939, Popular Science filmed this piece about the then-brand new Fleischer Studios complex in Miami, Florida. The studio was deep into the production of Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp - and this piece goes behind the scenes into how cartoons were created at that time. Check out the clip and then learn more about it at www.fleischers... - which delves into more depth about the studio and the making of animation during the 1930s. And learn more about Max and Dave Fleischer and Fleischer Studios at www.fleischerst...

This was easily the most state-of-the-art cartoon outfit in the country before Disney's Burbank studio opened.
Not knockin' Walt, but Max Fleischer is so underrated it's criminal.

It's amazing how much work and detail it took just for 1 cartoon! There were no computers to help the animators!

Well obviously Computers didn't exist back then, so why bring it up?

3:21. The guy photographing the cels kind of looks like Nick Tafuri, but I'm pretty sure it's not him.
