This trailer really grabbed my attention. The art, the narration, the music - it was truly incredible, and I have that chorus playing in my head every now and again. Visually I also love that every character wears a uniform, yet they still look very much distinct just at a glance. I'm definitely keeping my eye out for this one!
Yeah, the studio was founded by and I believe staffed with a number of devs that left Ubisoft in the last few years. So I'm hoping this game is all the good of Ubisoft past and none of the bad of more recent entries.

The trailer for this game reminded me intensely of Xenoblade. I think it was the combination of the British accents, the dialogue, and of course the music.

You mentioned that the initial vocals have a young theme to them. That’s probably because the whole setting of the game is about how everyone over 33 has been slowly killed by the Paintresses counting down the years. I definitely feel your excitement about this game with its very unique design. It’s actually reminding me of another game which went for a somewhat similar design philosophy. Othercide was a turn based game but more in vein of Xcom. It didn’t do too well but I absolutely fell in love with its entirely black, white, and red art style, combined with fighting psychological horror enemies in a very twisted Victorian England, and an equally killer soundtrack. Clair Obscur feels like a spiritual to Othercide for me and I really hope it manages to live up to its hype trailer.

I've been watching these shows and wondering when you'll draw attention to a track from this game. Another fantastic track from the shows is: South of Midnight - Gameplay Reveal - Xbox Games Showcase 2024. Great track. I think it's the blues.
I may be reading too much into this but the fact that the melody in the first part of the music doesnt change much is because it represents the paintress and her actions and the singer represents the expeditions, all is riding on their efforts and they are the only ones that can bring change. The second part is the conviction of the team 33 and the main character after having lost enough and risking it all on a last gamble
I think the very few flaws to the music we've heard (VERY few flaws) is probably the mixing more than the actual performance. The music is great, but there's something to the mixing that sometimes sounds like instruments are fighting each other for attention more than harmonizing. The music is still incredible, I just hope they tweak it slightly.
