Thank you very much! I bought a flail mower without good install instructions and this (similar, very similar) flail mower instructions were very helpful!
Of all the people online who claim they show assembly of this product, YOU sir are the only one who actually does and effectively and efficiently! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. After a couple of hours of torture and only had the shaft protecter/shield on. An hour after I found you I was ready to grease, oil and mow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Salut Joe!!! I like the flail mower. The way it can articulate will sure make it real flexible for mowing just about anything!!! Really nice. Take care!!!
Hi Joe! Great job on the assembly! That’s a very nimble flail mower you have there. Looks like you could trim hedges with it. LOL! Looking forward to seeing you use it. Thanks for sharing!
Good morning mon ami 👍 That is a very well built unit and very strong too 👍💪 The hydraulic systems on the tractor is also working very good 👍😉 Yes in deed your outriggers protective angles irons have many times save my cylinders from rocks for sure and thank to you mon ami 👍😉 Very well Hydraulic fix point on your tractor 👍😉 Yes that engine is running very well 👍😉 Yes grease is very important and 80 shots 😮😉👍that bearing unit is very well grease and did you grease your pto shaft 😏🤣😉 Can't wait to see your flail mower in full swing mon ami 😉👍 Cheers 👍😉
A friend bought the non offset version of this flail mower recently and we assembled it for him. It is surprising how much work is required for the offset version but it does look like a great machine. Thanks for sharing the details of assembling
That is quite a good amount of work to assemble. If that wasn't for me having to store it for 3 months until I assemble it, I would have taken it already assembled. The fee for assembling it is 150$... Thanks!
@@FromSteelToWood Ho boy 30 % to do list, you are working very well mon ami 👍 You should see what Joe has to accomplish 😮😉👍🍻 I probably will be at 0.5 % if it was me 😉👍
It does! I actually mowed about 2-3 miles of trails so far. But especially, I did cut the tall grass on the banks of my driveway. Which is quite a steep and high bank. Do you maintain trails on your land in summer? I've thought of dragging a large tree full of limbs in the trails. So not only it would get rid of the weeds but also level the ruts. Thanks Mark!
Absolutely, but having a 2nd tractor running is even better! So satisfying buying it at a cheap price and putting some time and parts to have it run as a new. Thanks!
Hello Joe, Your channel was recommended to me by Dace (RCAFPolarexpress). I sure could use that offset mower for around my pond and along the stream through our property. I admire the organization of your shop, nice and neat. Really looking forward to seeing this unit in action!
Thanks! I've got some good uses for it here! Actually, that is a must in my case. That was it or a bush hog mower. I think I made a better choice with an offset model. Thanks!
Hey good evening Joe! Awesome - a flail mower for all those acres of your beautiful property! Can't wait to see it in action my friend! Hammers or Knives on the rotor? What brand/manufacturer is it? Cheers Joe!
I won't use it to cut the hayfield. My neighbor does it and on the first cut, he did almost 200 round large bales! That is hammers. Then on the other flail mower I got (green used one...) I will put knives. This flail is Chinese, that is for sure. I think many "manufacturers" put their names on it. It is sold as a AGL-145 model.
@@FromSteelToWood Did you get or do you have the "float" option for the tilt? If so, do you think it is beneficial/essential? If not, do you wish you had that option?
I know what you mean! A bush hog is half of the price. Once you have the bush hog, you can't barely justify the flail mower. I was lucky the finance committee feel good about this one! Lol!
This was interesting Joe,...do I understand that there were no instructions supplied with this mower? ( Seems odd! ) It does look like a strong and well built machine, but you are about to show us if this is true, soon, I hope. Thanks for this.
Right! You will see soon this machine is well built after all. Chinese stuff for sure. No instructions, no brand name. So half priced compared to known brands. Thanks!
I could not tell, there is no brand whatsoever visible on the machine. It's Chinese, that is for sure. I think many "manufacturers" put their name on it. It is sold as a AGL-145 model.
Bonsoir Luc! Il n'y a pas de marque dessus, mais vendu comme un modèle AGL-145. Il semble que c'est une fabrication Chinoise que plusieurs autres marques reprennent sous leur emblème. Par exemple, Titan. Merci!
I bought it at Roulement Techno (here in Québec, Canada). But this model is sold pretty much everywhere, under different names. This is a light-duty (economical) version of the better-known (commercial) brands like Orsi. You can find many places that will carry this model on Google, frequently referred to as an AGL125. I paid 4000$ (CDN $) 3 years ago. The Orsi was 8k$.
So far it does not seems to need it, as the gravity point of the mower barely reaches the outer rear track. But I thought I could add a counterweight anyways. Also the front end gets light with that mower in the back. I would put it where an FEL post is located, on the opposite side. Thanks!
I would say they are 32mm or 1¼ inch pins for what moves the flail mower. Then 19mm or ¾ inch for the cylinders. But that is a guesstimate from memory. That would need to be confirmed. Thanks!
@@FromSteelToWood I would take it apart completely and lock tight everything on it. and proper torque. if you want it to last. a lot of reviews say this.
Not too much time those days to make one. Then gearbox + cylinders + hoses + bearings + hammers = price of the purchase... Better buy a cheap one and fix whatever flaw in the design would be!
It's a non-branded mower. From what I know, it's a replica of a Titan... or Titan used the same generic model and put their name on it. Sorry I can't tell more. Since I have a fairly wide and heavy machine for its power (only 35hp), I was suggested to get the version having its gearbox mounted offset to the mower, providing an extra offset reach. The extra reach is not so recommended on smaller compact tractors. Thanks!
@@FromSteelToWood the only AGL-145 models i see have the gearbox mounted on the inside. How do you find the one with it mounted externally like yours? Any suggestions on where to look or what to search for?
Sorry, I don't have any specifications or details, other than the "externally mounted" gearbox! The only detail I can remember is the sales guy told me he was proposing that to me, but should not, as it was the newest version and he should be selling the old version first. In my case, with a wider machine, he knew it would be a big plus.

Like the updates that you have done to you're CASE, tractor sounds good.
This Case runs really good now! It has been sitting in the hangar for a while and it was running rough in the beginning. Thanks!
The offset makes this a great tool! Great replacement for a sickle bar mower for over the edges.
