I'm not a trek fanboy, but the madone maybe is the most beautiful bike I've ever seen, those flaps and stuff, just beautiful, don't know if it really is the best and the fastest (every new bike seems to be the best), but it looks awesome
I usually like the look of aero bikes but I think this is hideous. Almost as ugly as the new Venge

Actually, at a -/+7 yaw angle, the S5 is shown to be faster here, which is where the majority of time is spent (assuming you can put this bike to use) according to Flo's new aerodynamic study. That being said, why wasn't the Venge listed in the aero graph but was in the compliance graph? Seems a little fishy

That would be perfect. I wen with the 2.3 because I am on a college student budget. The carbon frame will make your rides even more comfortable and the iso speed decoupler is pure magic (or good engineering).

still depends on the rider and even if the rider has the legs to make it go fast he still needs to be perfectly aerodynamic to achieve the promised results by Trek.

sirium just because the highest position was 7th in the GC, doesn't make it marketing hype. You can see just by looking that it is one of the most (well the most) aerodynamic bikes in the peloton and if the right situation arose, the Madone would have the upper hand.

The Trek Emonda SLR is a better bike. And it's made for climbing. Where you win races!
aerodynamics are way more important than light weight.
Not when your climbing! The Emonda is still a great bike even in the winds. But it climbs like a beast. I own one and I know.
+wickedout2010 race often means UCI means 6.8 Kg. perdiod. Get ride of that aero and light queste it is no sense. People concerned by aerodynimics of the frame are world classe TT rider. People concerned by a 500 g saving are GC super lean riders.
I have the 12.5 (with pedals) lb SLR10 emonda 2017. Love it. I love pumping up the tubulars to 120 and ride, like the wind.

I tested one the brakes are downright dangerous
When setup the brakes are on par with the best on the market. Proper setup is key in making sure any brake performs properly.
This was a demo bike apparently setup by Trek staff at the cycle show in Birmingham.....I squeezed the brakes together and got nothing squeezed them again and was almost thrown off as the front brake came on locking up the front wheel, it was a case of all of nothing. I parked the bike after one lap of the test circuit as I didn't want to be on it anymore and tested other brands that were available, blown away by the Bianchi Oltre amazing piece of kit in comparison of getting it to do what I wanted.
