I had one pot stolen last Monday in the Ross river mate. Can't wait to catch those dogs. Looking forward to a trail cam video and catching those thieving animals. 👍

@@kizzjd9578 I launched the boat at Barnicle st boat ramp. The first creek on the right heading out. I was out with my niece. Had 6 pots got 4 good keepers. The first pot just in that creek was gone mate. So came home with 5 pots. The thieving animals. It's simple really if it's not yours don't touch it! What don'ts they understand about that and it's a $50000 fine if they are caught. Let's hope you catch em mate.👍

A bad day of fishing is way better than any day at work. I hate it when the weather man is right.
I lost my last crab pots to crocs. They wanted the chicken frames inside. I can handle that. Losing them to grubby humans is a different story.

I live in the state of Washington. I go crabbing every chance they open the season. And sometimes someone checks my pot. I know because it's not were I put it. THAT PISSES ME OFF TOO!!

I've always held that one man's ceiling is another man's floor in fishing.
Here in Hervey Bay one guy did set up a trail cam. He put the still shots of a blue half cab and a fishing kayak up on Facebook in each photo the culprit had the pot rope in his hand. Go big and go public.

Last time I caught pot thieves in Ross river was maggots on mored boats in river.

I caught one of those eel tailed cats when I was a grom and my dad stepped on the fish so we could get the hook out and got the spike straight to the foot! He was spouting all sorts of words 😂

Yeah man they are painful no laughing matter , I had one on a muddy bank stepped on it and the spike broke off in my big toe joint , it came back out of my foot years later with an itch in my boot and it was the spike working it’s way out , step on one you won’t be laughing they are deadly dangerous.

See if you can hide airtags in the floats and reseal them inside of in the pots, cause they're not waterproof and I doubt someone's gonna remove the float or look inside it

Yeah everytime we put the pots in at Coco creek just across from there the pro always takes the crabs and bait out of the pots and leave nothing he has onece cut the pots so there but 3 or 4 times we had 14 full crabs in the esky
Crocs get caught in the rope while trying to raid the pot. They snap the rope eventually in attempt to free themselves from the tangled mess.

Hey Legends. @2:06 in the video is where you guys drop that pot (notice the squiggly bent mangrove branch) and @23:03 in the video you can see the same mangrove branch. defiantly at the mouth so there is no way you would have missed it. Hey mate I was crabbing in the ross on the weekend of the tenth not sure if it was a similar time to you and i lost 3 pots but I put mine down to tide as the tides were so big and I actually ended up finding 2 of them right out the front past the bridge as I had some pots on the sand out the front. all of mine that were tied up had crabs in them and still there. as much of a pain it is the zip tie is a good way to know if someone has opened your pot but there is a possibility that the tide could have taken that pot that was out the front of the creek.
Nah mate, heavy pots and sinking ropes, plus placed out of water flow. I know how to crab the creek
Pot tampering is illegal if you can get it on film give it to the fisheries they then must follow it up , take em down the right way.
