Wonky Hole Fishing & Swimming In Mangroves North Queensland

Everything tried to stop us getting on the water but we still made it out. over night fishing and swimming in the mangroves, then hunting for a crayfish.

I caught a crayfish in the Ross river out near the mouth on the south side, on a fishing rod of all things.

Even if you catch nothing mate it always an adventure watching you. You always give it your best shot. There is a big F O cray out there somewhere with your name on it 👍🍺🍺

A short little speargun 600mm - 750mm with a single rubber is ideal for crays , full length gun is a pain in the caves and hollows , often get green crays around rocky foreshores and painteds further out . Shot plenty near Cairns years ago when I lived up there .
