Thanks for the video. I have a question, can I add another skill on my specialised profile?. I am into klaviyo email marketing and I also want to venture into online course . Your response will be highly appreciated
Hi, I'm Elijah, a professional retoucher with a vast editing skills and expert in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Camera Raw and Capture one. I've read through the job description and considered myself suitable for the job. I know you have a lot of proposals on your desk at the moment but trust me to deliver an excellent job for you if considered. I am glad that it's going to be a long term relationship of working together as stipulated in the job description if considered. So I ask that you give me a benefit of doubt and you will see that I will be your long term favorite photo retoucher. Enough of the talk, let's get down to work. Cheers!
11:20 you mentioned that 20$ USD per hour is too low, but he is a beginner on Upwork. How is the client supposed to be comfortable paying 40$ USD per hour UX/UI designer that only made 1 job (30$ USD) on Upwork. I am mentioning that because of me too, I am pricing 30$ USD per hour right now but people of my skill level price around 60 - 100$ USD per hour. I doubt that only a good profile, portfolio and proposal will do the work (I have 3K earnings, 5 jobs and 46 hours). Seeing 60$ USD/per hour ony my profile and my work history holds 20$ USD/per hour project, that would be weird wouldn't it?
And that's where you need to make up the difference in your sales skills as you get interviewed. That's where you can explain your value to the client and rather than just focusing on past jobs getting a certain amount per hour, start thinking about pitching flat rates to new clients instead where you'd be getting more per hour but the client isn't trying to compare hourly rates to your past projects.
@@FreelanceFamilyMan Ohh okay, thanks for that. Do you maybe know how to increase my sales skills on Upwork, so that I could do interviews better? Because right now 40% of my proposals are being viewed but from only 10% I get invited to interview, what can guarantee me an interview if my client gets scared of my price when compared to my whole Upwork earnings?
@@Vadrigar1 Then you likely need to adjust your proposals too. I just released a training course that goes into depth on writing the best proposals that will convince the client to want to interview you and then how to do that interview and increase your sales skills so you close the deal with the client. I actually have 2 recent videos I've done on this topic: ua-cam.com/video/_gpZL6fJ4FU/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/438UHWOb1FU/v-deo.html Let me know if need more training then that, thanks!
@@FreelanceFamilyMan Thank you, Chad. This video was helpful as I learned that screening questions appear first in proposals on client's side. Also mention in another video if possible what are the factors that causes particular proposals to appear on top of the list as 'Best match' or just above in list in general. It is because some jobs receive like 50+ proposals and I want my proposal to be a best match and above in list.
Thank you for reviewing my profile, I will definitely make the changes and share my success story😊
Hey, did you find any changes after updating your profile?
Were there any positive sides after the changes?
