Great videos. About the aeropress. They actually make espressos. So, for more people just add more coffee granules and leave it to brew slightly longer. pop an espresso into each campers cup and top up their cups with boiled water, turning an espresso into an americano.
Nice spot. The drone footage is epic and really shows us the area. I would assume when you hear the cicadas I would think a surface popper that looks like a cicada might be a good option to catch fish
Thanks for watching, crazy part is I that lure in my box, but never had the chance to use it. I had planned to on the second evening up river but the broken paddle killed that idea.
Another great video mate. When were you up at the everglades, as we were up at Habitat Noosa(Elanda Point) from the 9th of Dec till the 13th. Me and my son in law took the two Hobie Revo's for a spin from there to the southern part of the everglades....didn't quite make it to Harry's Hut. We are also planning a trip up to Camp 3 from Harry's just not sure if the track to Harry's Hut is ok for 2wd. Paddling over lake Cootharaba in the wind is horrible that's why we are thinking of going for an overnighter to camp 3 from Harrys.
Cheers Brad, I got into Harry’s Hut in my 2020 Subaru Forester without an issue. Camp 3 may be busy as it’s a hikers camp as well, but there is plenty of room there. Takes around 1.5 hours at a steady pace so great place for a quick overnighted. Regards Paul
A mate and myself put in at Harry’s early 2021. The road in was easily doable in any thing with a little bit of clearance, although it’s slow going, especially with a canoe on the roof racks. I’d say they hit it with the grader every year. I’d check with the rangers to check the current condition. Probably well worth putting in there rather than down on the lake though. Will give you a lot more time (and energy) to enjoy the river 😉 PS Lots of mozzies at Harry’s when we were there but the camp spots up the river and while on the river were fine.
Nice work Paul. You didn’t actually mention how you ended up breaking the paddle? I had an amazing bespoke coaching session with Dan from Valley Outdoors/Paddle & Portage in Kangaroo Valley a couple of months ago, and carrying two paddles was a given (certainly saves depleting your store of bandages / duct tape!). Can’t wait for my Wenonah Solo Plus to arrive. Thank goodness for the emergency beacon on the drone… I have needed it on mine on one occasion. Nice story telling and well crafted. Liked & subbed.
Hi Spike, I was coming into the bank and pushed myself off the mud to bring the canoe around and it just snapped. Very freaky as I wasn't applying any real pressure. I'm heading to Kangaroo Valley on Sunday to film a two night trip their. I plan on stopping into Valley Outdoors as they are probably one of the best canoe retailers in Australia. Thanks for the kind works, sub and for watching. Regards, Paul
Awesome!! Fantastic to watch and even better that you were able to locate your drone with the help of some awesome people! That drone footage is AMAZING!!
Hey mate, bunch of blokes and myself are looking to do a canoe trip in Noosa in June, any chance you could shed some light about where you started and where you finished
Yeah happy to. You put in and exit at Harry’s Hut. There’s a camping area there as well if you want to meet the night before. You don’t need a 4WD and you’re then a long way into the Everglades. Thanks for watching, cheers Paul
Great scenery and photography mate. Good to see the paddle held up for you. Yep, a cheap spare would be good, been thinking the same thing myself. Looks like those Cooper's Pale Ale's went down a treat! PS good on you Jacko and looking forward to the next vid.
Hi Dennis, I totally agree. The cooking session in this vid was far too long and boring. I have now tried to balance the five items in my video's being: Canoeing, Camping, Exploring, Fishing and Cooking more in my videos. Do me a favour and and have a look at my latest video and give me your thoughts.
Hi Lee, thanks for watching and the kind words. Yes I thought you didn't need one unless you were canoeing white water rapids. The $15 spare actually works quite well. Cheers, Paul
Your videos are constantly improving Paul. This looked like a great paddle and well suited to the Sprite. Well done on the improvisation with your paddle. Funnily enough I’ve never thought about a spare paddle when on the water but I’ll take “spare” everything else. I might have to have a rethink. Jacko is a legend. There are quite a few like him out there but the world needs more of his type. Once again, well done. Very enjoyable and have a great Christmas. Thanks for your entertaining videos during the year.
Thanks for your kind words as always Ken. Really appreciate your support for my channel. Have a wonderful Christmas, I look forward to sharing more videos in the new year. Cheers Paul

Thanks Chris, now I get the idea. I bought a grinder so it’s not totally off the table. Thanks for watching. Cheers Paul

Thanks Fred, grabbed a $15 paddle from Anaconda. And yes love the Coopers Pale Ale!
A little less cooking and a bit more canoeing would be great

Enjoying all your videos. Well done on the improvisation of the paddle, from now on I will carry a spare 😊

Be careful posting drone footage where you're breaking the law. if someone were to report you to casa you will be fined. nice footage though
Thanks for the feedback, not sure where I am braking the law, is it where I am flying? And thanks for watching my video. Cheers, Paul
@@Getgowin Must keep vlos of drone at all times. think its about $1000 fine
Yes, fair call I’ll keep that in mind.
