I reside at a place called Cairns, Australia. It is located approx. 2.5 hours North of Cardwell, which is where Hinchinbrook island sits off the coast (location where these 2 men were hiking). What is not mentioned in this story is that the island is surrounded by large crocodiles and sharks. The island itself is home to large pythons (5 to 6 metres long) which makes it even more amazing. A true hero to a total stranger who went to the aid of another man he only just met. 'Hero' doesn't seem a big enough description. Words fail me.

What a story. The amazing man who actually got help as fast as he could despite all the odds is a hero.

Wow Kilimanjaro with prosthetic legs? That’s epic. I would just stay at home and watch tv all day.

Wow. What a story. Both men pushed way beyond their limits. But from this, they grow. And rescue crews all over the world are unsung heroes. Look at what they do. Incredible.

What about Aron Ralston ? 😜
The things some people survive are crazy!
And nobody knows how they'd behave during a disaster until it happens. We can only hope we never have to find out.
