I can't stop watching Scalia's lectures. Truly the most influential voice for orginalism and respecting our constitution in the modern era. He is greatly missed.

I was surprised it dud not generate more interest than it did before his death. However it took off afterward,
it is a very thoughtful presentation. he had given it at the Vatican prior.
I was one of very few to shake his hand afterward. the secret service had to give him the okay nod. My wife told me they were not allowing anyone to get close enough for a hand shake.

Clarence Thomas is every bit as outstanding as Scalia.

What a massive personality this great Justice carried... a "Lion of the law" as Judge Neil Gorsuch said. We lost such a humorous, perceptive individual with a strong backbone of the American constituation when he passed. RIP Justice Antonin Scalia.

Justice Scalias passing was a huge loss to the Supreme Court and to the United States. Hopefully, the addition of ACB to the court will go a long way to remedying the current situation.

This man understands, and insisted the courts not over step . unfortunately he was alone in this. When you look at his smile , you see that he is a loving man of honor first, an employee of the corporation second. He wanted to tell us all so much truth regarding the imagined self created authority of the quasi judicial system. [ which I personally have little respect for any self governing club [ that hides behind " public interest " when he speaks of things being common sense, he refers to how it was framed, prior to being manipulated by the syntax molestors known as " DEFINITION LAW STUDENTS " interpretation as a guide to precedent is a joke. Hopefully one day the people will wake up enough to realize what has taken place. Just because you say you have authority over me means nothing. I didn't agree to that, nor did I vote for that. Well we being the custodian of your registration as a citizen born in one of our hospitals, You are hereby forced to accept what we say.
Freedom huh... funny.. Scalia , the only justice ever worthy of my respect.

All law clerks oter judges and agencies acknowledge his brilliance yet they ignore his belief that law is basic human rules of behavior . until the perverted system came along and twisted the principles

Socialism/Communism is founded on the state owning all.property including your living being.
Common Law is closer ..really part and parcel of Christianity as this law (also civil law) is founded in every man and woman are created by a God therefore they have God given rights which creates inherent equality.

Christine Loz You posted some unusual definitions of “socialism” and “communism.” But your description of Common Law as "part and parcel of Christianity" is really off the mark: Common Law originated in the conflict between the laws of the Anglo-Saxon invaders of Britain and the laws of the more recent Norman invaders. See Wikipedia, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_law#Common_law_as_opposed_to_statutory_law_and_regulatory_law
      Quote:
      - - -
In one usage that is now archaic, but that gives insight into the history of the common law, "common law" referred to the pre-Christian system of law, imported by the Saxons to England, and dating to before the Norman conquest, and before there was any consistent law to be applied.

      @@Carneades2012 Where do I start?
Try Saint Thomas "Summa Theologica" on natural Law/ common law.
As far as Socialism and Communism ..the descriptive language seems unusual to you as all have been brainwashed with warm and fuzzy weazel words.
Ask a progressive...or Green if they support forced vaccinations..as in your body belongs to the state which is owned by a banking cartel.
Actually Anthony Sutton has great info on Trotsky and funding by Wall St.
