That goes to show u how good 90s basketball was.. u have 2 point guards on one team like Steve Nash and Jason Kidd .. but the best point guard on the team was Kevin Johnson in 97.. criminally underrated player
Kidd was a 97-98 all-star, KJ was still very productive when healthy and given significant minutes, and Nash was showing more and more flashes of how great he would eventually become once he later got his chance to be the undisputed man in Phoenix. This was a sneaky good Suns team. It's too bad they didn't all stay together after that season.
@@HeathOverledger KJ was still pretty good for his age but he was getting up there. Nash was a talented youngster but with the potential for eventual greatness but it was gonna take some time before he put it all together. I'm willing to bet he might not have become the player he eventually did if he didn't have to chance to learn from all-time greats like KJ and Kidd. Chapman was more of an instant offense kind of guy rather than a pg. It made sense taking a chance on a player like Kidd at that point in time. Kidd needed a fresh start from Dallas where things simply weren't going in the right direction and Phoenix needed a new young star caliber player to sell hope and become the new face of the franchise after Barkley's departure.

I forgot the Suns had all those guys in one year... they could have run their own death lineup... Kidd/ Nash/ KJ/ Chapman/ Manning or McDyess.... Dang... Once they figured out how to really run... they could have averaged 130 a game.
It still baffles me how Phoenix decided to get rid of these awesome uniforms only a few years later for the boring and crappy ones they used from 2000-2013.
If Twitter existed back then, haters would be saying, "The Bulls are done" after this one loss, lol!
I forgot Steve Nash played a little in the Jordan era.

@@coreyrowe2598 can y’all answer why they got Kidd if KJ and Nash (and Rex) were already there?

Insane depth at the guard position for Phoenix at that time
And bigs (Mcdyess, Clifford, Hot Rod Williams and Manning)
Good to see a young Steve Nash highlights in his 1st stint in Phoenix
You can see how the Bulls' defense suffered w/o Pippen

factz. those were some exciting teams, post Barkley years (97-01/02). 98 they had soooo many good players

those Suns teams post Barkley era (97-02) were very exciting. guard spot was loaded
3:32 McDyess forever.
Cliff robinson and mcdyess in one team?? Whats more kj, nash and kidd as their point guards?? Wow!!! And they said 90s players were plumbers
When I watch the last dance why the gorilla put the bulls plushy in the hoop?
