LEGO really needs to bring those rubber missiles back as they actually had power that would knock stuff down.
Seriously!
They actually just reappeared in the Ninjago Jay’s Titan Mech from last year. It’s a different design but it’s still pretty good. They need to appear in more sets though.
They also need to release the original barrako squid launchers
I was too young to play the game, but for *some reason* they got me this set. My Mom built it, and (controversially) glued some of the pieces so that even though she knew i'd destroy it by playing with it too much, I'd still have a lot of the ship parts together. While I wouldn't recommend it today, I'm actually kinda happy about her glueing it now. She's gone, but I found the Juno minifig, with the arms swapped with another minifig, but I swapped them back and now she's fully built again.
Still such a nostalgic ship to me.
🥺😭May she Rest in peace Mothers do so much for us (At least the ones who care about their kids$
We need a Remake with a PROXY Minifigure.
Yes!!! Thank you for saying that! I was so disappointed that there wasn't a proxy Minifigure with the set! 😭
And Rohm Kota
And imperial navy commando
Ucs rouge shadow
Yes
The scooba diving helmet on its side for a battle damaged Vader helmet is absolutely insane holy shit that’s like moc building techniques
Yep. This is somthing Lego would never do anymore.
I really like the missile shooting function if only more Lego Starwars sets had play features imbedded within it like this set and the way how it’s hidden when not in use makes it look cleaner
That's what I'm saying! I feel like the BEST sets have a hidden spring loaded missile
I never understood the set as a kid, but since then i played the game and now i regret never getting it .The Starkiller figure is just epic
I remember getting this set for Christmas after seeing the commercial and asking for it. This video brought back a huge wave of nostalgia for me. Thanks for pointing out the blood detail on the starkiller minifig. I never noticed it until now. This set was a great build. I really wish Lego made more obscure star wars sets from other forms of star wars media like this one.
Sad part is they’ll never release anything like this ever again
@@019Breakcode A man can dream, a man can dream.
Love to see so many play features packed into a set. Would be awesome to see a modern reimagining of this ship from LEGO, even though they have no reason to do it at this point.
In the game this ship got remodeled for Rebellion and looked a lot smoother and mainstream. If LEGO remade it into that version we could have both versions!
Hi 👋
@@brickmasterharrithat would be sick or they could do it like the venomized groot and have both variants
4:17 so no one gonna talk about that clip?? Bro just gave massive 2010 vibes I remember watching this video
1:32 there is also a shadow trooper battle pack, but it doesn't have The Force Unleashed on the box
i actually had that one but i can't find the vehicle or the shadowtroopers, only the shadow guards
I have a battle-damaged Vader! it came in a magnet display thingy, also this era of Lego was awesome, I remember constantly flipping through the Lego Star Wars visual dictionary (the one with Award ceremony Luke)
This was my favorite set as a kid. The first UA-cam video I ever uploaded was a review of the Rogue Shadow. A lot of great memories!
That's actually crazy! thanks for the comment🫡
i love that you included that animation i grew up on, so nostalgic 4:18
Same
2:09 I remember very well building the Walker on the left. It was probably the first bigger Lego set I built as a kid. Over the years I don’t remember what happened to it but I occasionally find remnant of in my garage. I do have the red clone troopers though in my room.
Man I would’ve absolutely loved having the Rouge Shadow as a kid.
Side Notes: The Rouge Shadow is heavily based on Darth Maul’s ship.
Designed and built in secret by orders of Vader, all of the personnel and droids involved in the Rogue Shadow's construction were killed, thus ensuring their silence, while the causes of their deaths were described as "industrial accidents" and street crimes.
It also had the fastest sublight drives in the Imperial Navy. In addition to these high tech features, the Rogue Shadow was outfitted with an experimental cloaking device that enabled the vessel to hide from even the most powerful scanners for short periods of time. Its cloaking technology was powered by a rare stygium crystal, a form of lightsaber crystal that could warp perceptions around it
got this set for my birthday as a kid... younger cousin destroyed it and lost pieces not even a week later. such a sad memory this video brought up but so great and nostalgic to watch u build and enjoy it!
Man I didn’t even know this existed tbh. Thanks for sharing, dope video! I’m 25 and I’ve recently been getting back into Lego SW and it’s so fun and nostalgic. Just bought the newest AT-TE to restart my collection and it’s been so fun to build. UA-camrs like you make it even better!
This is a 🔥set! So many functions and nods to the game version. I really didnt realize how rare this set seems to be.
I had no idea it was this jam packed with features either😳 The figures are what really make this set for me🔥 Thanks for the comment Scott!
Such a great set. I didn't have one, but a neighborhood friend did. I'd visit his house a lot to play videogames and Lego stuff, and we were actually playing The Force Unleashed together for a while before he got it. At the time I really liked it, but didn't think to ask my parents about it. Seeing how well it STILL looks and functions after all these years... I think it's easily a classic!
omg, I had all of those as a kid and still have them, they are incredible sets that I still love, also, the force unleashed is a huge game from my childhood on the wii, I wish more games like it where made
I got this set when I was 8 or 9 years old. I remember it being a very challenging build since I opened all the bags at once, I also started building it on my carpet floor which was probably not a good idea, but that's what I had to work with. Once I had the set together, I picked it up to show my parents, but it started to fall apart in my hands, aggravated enough by the strained building process, I took my rage out on the set by throwing it across the room, after picking up the pieces (or what pieces I could find) I put the broken set in my "leftover pieces" bin and let it sit until I got rid of a majority of my Lego sets in 2015. I'm now 24 and I occasionally look for Lego kits of intrest, this set would be one I'd like to revisit if I can find it at a halfway decent price.
Weird coincidence because a week ago I came across a complete rogue shadow with figures and instructions but no box on eBay for £130 and after a week of looking around at other prices just to see if I was getting a good deal and it arrived 3 days ago and I definitely agree it is an awesome one off set
I'm so glad I found you and your channel, a breath air of positivity and love to the Lego Star Wars youtuber scene.
Aw man, I'm happy for you! It's one of the best feelings in the world to see someone just being happy by spending his adult-money on something dreamed as kid!
Few months back I've returned to collecting Lego SW sets too. Til then I've been focused more on my beloved Bionicle collection, but now when I have every single set I ever dreamed, I decided to focus on collecting my dream collection of SW sets. I'm focusing on get Republic's and Separatis' machines from Lego Star Wars III. Few days back I at least ordered LAAT and I hope to build it in next week
I'm so glad I found your channel, now I can be happy not only from realizing my own dream, but also by seeing as you, and all other people in comments are sharing their simmiliar experience. Most wholesome thing ever!
That Battle damaged Darth Vader goes soooo hard man!
I always wanted that set as a kid so I totally understand the enthusiasm! Glad you're loving it! I had no idea it had so many play features!
So I came across your video and became inspired. I had this set when it first came out but since had it dismantled and distributed through my parts bins. I have collected Lego since I was 9 and I'm now 43. I have never parted with anything Lego in all that time. So after watching your vid, I pulled up the parts list, pulled the PDF instructions from Lego's site and have been collecting my parts again. I can't wait to see it fully built in person again!
This was a white whale set for me too. I had 60% of the pieces already so I brick linked the rest. I removed the cannon and added cockpit space on the two sides, midsection and rear. It now seats 8 to 10 mini figures! This is supposed to be a large vessel and not a single pilot fighter. I even made purist custom figures of Proxy, Rahm Kota, Starkiller, Juno Eclipse and battle damaged Vader
Did you notice that the ad for rogue shadow on the back of the manual was different? They showed the indevelopment model with the brown hair piece for starkiller and the cockpit dome still didn't have the printing that the actual set would later have! It's a cool detail I noticed back when I was kid.
What is MORE likely?? LEGO bringing back BIONICLE, or LEGO making a good LEGO Star Wars set?? 🤯
found the ship with all 3 figs in a 20€ bulk lot I got years back... Spent 20$ on Bricklink for the missing parts and it's now proudly on my shelf :)
I have been recently getting some white whale sets. A months ago I got my hands on the 2002 UCS Imperial Star Destroyer, complete with original box. I had a blast building it and it was great to finally have it in person. Still one of the coolest Lego Star Wars sets of all time.
I remember seeing this set in the first Lego Star Wars dictionary and really digging the design going on there. At the time I hadn't played The Force Unleashed until that next year I do believe. I'd _love_ to have one one day
I got the rogue shadow for my 7th birthday. I had an obsession with playing the force unleashed at the time. That was one of the best birthday gifts I ever got. I still have it built to this day
That is one of my dream sets, thank you for such an amazing review, I’ve never seen it that up close!😄
Thank you man! I can see why🔥
Back when I was young, my parents would bring me to get grocery and allow me go visit the toy alley in the store. One lego set that stood out for me was the 2008 AT-TE from the clone wars movie. I really wanted it however since I didnt took proper care of my smaller lego sets and given how expensive it was, my parents would never buy it. Fast forward a dozen of years and I get back into lego. I browse through a second hand website and find this set for a reasonnable price (150€) fully complete (the box, the figure, the pieces...). Not even a scratch on anything, its like it was brought here from 2008. I bought it with my money and was very happy with it, immediatly built it when we got home. I was so happy that to prove my parents I could take care of lego sets, I decided to rebuild all the sets I destroyed when I was a kid, I sort all my lego pieces out by colour, find every bag of lego in the house and using the part lists, I can actually rebuild my clone wars frigate (which at this point spent more time scrapped than in what it was supposed to be). It took me the whole summer but I was able to put back most of my old sets and it was quite an experience.
So cool to see! The 2008 Anakin starfighter was my first ever set as well and I wanted this set so much, so it’s really awesome seeing you get to have that experience!!!
That shot of Starkiller pulling down the Star Destroyer is literally my screen background. It goes hard, and so does the set.
3:50 Got to be the Twilight from the first couple of Clone Wars seasons. Everyone seems to find it ugly, but I think it has a special charm to it.
That is a great pick! I think the figs for sure throw everyone off, but if it had exclusive ones it would definitely be remembered better
That's awesome! I wish Lego sets had play features like that now! Everything is a display piece...
Dude I love seeing this set get recognition. It is my favorite set in my collection, for nostalgia and for my love of the force unleashed game. I even met Sam Witwer, the actor of Starkiller. Such an underrated set
The best Lego Star wars Set of 2008 is the Death Star ,but the Rougue Shadow is also very nice.
I found a copy of this set in a bulk bin. It was complete except for Vader and Juno. That was a great feeling.
I built it, and kept it together for a while before taking it apart for mocs, but now I kind of want to rebuild it either stock or in my current style.
It´s so weird seeing it talked about like this, when it´s sitting within arm-reach on a shelf next to me.
On a side note, getting this set is actually what got me interested in playing Force Unleashed.
I hope lego make a Legends set range, so we could get sets like a new Rogue Shadow or the Ebon Hawk.
Ive had this set since i was a kid when it released. It proudly sits on my shelf to this day.
I remember getting this set for easter as a kid even tho we didnt have a lot of money at that time. Truly a core memory
oh lord...i have this set gathering dust on my bookshelf...i loved rebuilding it last year but you've convinced me to dust it off and display it somewhere nicer!
Starkiller’s torso and Juno’s face have been so important to my various mocs over the years. The ship even survived a good while before being turned into city scenery compared to other sets.
This is a set I wish I picked up back in the day. The problem was The Force Unleashed game was delayed so the toys came out well ahead of it and sat on the shelves because no one knew who they were.
I bought these sets as an adult in the store in what feels like only a couple of years ago. I built most of them, but some (quite a lot in total) are still in box in the attic. I remember buying this cool looking ship, but I haven’t built it yet. But this video got me excited; I’ll build it next weekend! (Crazy to think modern lego is a childhood memory for some!)
The one that I always remember wanting was the original jabba’s sail barge! Boba jumping out on the package made me lose my mind
Love this ship. I found a sealed copy last year on eBay for $300. Problem is I don't know if I can bring myself to open it.
You're only losing $50-100 from a used one with all figures.
I wanted this set so badly when I was a kid. The closest thing I got to the Rogue Shadow was an Exoforce set. It was the black and green robot turbine flyer. (still have it btw) Ever since I played Force Unleashed, I wanted that set.
man the rogue shadow was so cool I wish I knew where mine from my childhood was :(
Fun Fact:
The Lego Rogue Shadow came out 9 months before the game did. The ship itself seems to be based on concept art that wasn't released anywhere.
Had it when I was a kid, then movers stole it and my other legos.
Re-obtained it about a year ago for ~$200 on EBay, no box but I wouldn't have kept it anyways.
All those play features are so well integrated. Totally worth it
If they did remake this set, they'll probably change the figs. This set is really cool
I got the Rogue Shadow set when it originally came out alongside the AT-AP for my birthday after coming back from a holiday in Florida. Unfortunately, I lost Juno Eclipse and Battle-Damaged Death Vader, but I still have the Starkiller minifigure. It's still one of my most beloved LEGO sets that I own.
Missed that set when I was a kid (didn't really know about the game), but somewhere at 18 managed to get it in used condition for about 20-25$. Already had Vader from magent set (who for some reason wasn't glued at all) and Juno fron somewhere else, so only had to buy SK for around 10$.
Totally satisfied, great set. Also managed to get a knockoff SK figure, which isn't good, but has that helmet from the game and that part is awesome. Also slapped lightning from palpatine and black belt (like in lego batman movie minifigs, but black), became slightly better.
Oh shoot you beat me to it lol I was literally at that Bricks & Minifigs a few days ago & almost got that set. Couldn’t justify the price at the moment but MAN did I want to 😫
I'm bring tortured... I was literally looking for this set a week ago and now I saw this video I want it even more!
I have a shelf that runs around my room, sets are as follows, original gunship, clone wars gunship, original atte, original turbo tank, original star destroyer, custom HE-111, red baron triplane, albatross, lego death stars, dropship, and ATOT. Plus the original squad 42, updated squad 42, deviss, bregan, and cody. I used to have so much lego but I have lost a majority of it.
Crazy I had this lego set as a kid and thought of it being nothing more than a sweet lego set! insane how much it is now!
The Lego set I always wanted as a child, the Malgus one. Huge fan of the Old Republic, wanted that set so badly.
I had this set as a kid. Good times.
I know they wont, but I would die if they rereleased or recreated the sith fury class intercepter from the old republic, one of my favorite ships ever.
tbf in comparison to fling-fire rockets those missiles look really bulky and advanced as id they were guided missiles so it's probably even better that you can grab them and intantly make them home in one whatever with hand
I got this ship from my dad for Christmas or something back in the day but man that ship was my worst building experience ever. Usually as a kid, I was able to build my Sets alone without needing my Dad to help me but this one, was really hard and I missplaced a lot of stuff. So certain functions didn't work right. The figures were awesome tho. I played so much with Vader and Marek.
ive wanted the rouge shadow since i was a kid and one day a few months ago I went on FB marketplace and searched for lego bins in the back of my head I was like maybe ill find the rouge and starkiller and I found a listing of a bulk bin with lots of instructions on top and I saw the instruction manual to it next thing you know im driving 45 min to spend $60 on a bulk bin and while I was there I spotted another lego bin with what looked like a full set parted out i spotted one piece with sticker and knew exactly what set it was (7694) and I asked if he was interested in selling It too i ended up spending $100 total and went home with a full republic frigate a full rouge shadow and also a manga guard starfighter as well as an arc 170 and also some cool full powerminers and monster fighters sets best bulk haul yet
I had the Rouge Shadow as a kid and it was very frustrating because it wouldn’t stay together while playing
I really enjoyed your video! Maybe you could ask Bricks and Minifigs if they could get you the missing sticker - since they sold it as complete, i feel like they shouldve included it. Keep up the great work! :)
I got this set new as a kid and it is just amazing. I loved it then and I love it now.
i had this set growing up and i loved it! one of my fav sets
i had this set as a kid and still have the windshield piece and some of the minifig parts
I used to watch my best friend play that game for hours and I got this set mainly because of it. It's a great set and I had fun customizing and rebuilding it for hours. I still have it, and the box, instructions, and unapplied sticker sheet..... $350 you say.... idk those minifigs look pretty happy in my collection.
My Dad bought that set because he and I played Force Unleashed all the time, at one point he held world record on the second game for Dagobah Defence on Xbox, hes like 23 on there now tho
I had this set when I was a kid! Before I took it completely apart to build other stuff with the parts (because I was a kid) I modified it to fit more figures somehow.
Damn it ! I bought and built this set a couple years ago, sold it afterwards for space shelf reasons, and now I want it back because of you 😅
This was the last lego set i got from my parents. It was a monster build. Took me 32 hours to complete, then i had to redo it all because i messed up. I was little too scared to play with after finishing it
this is beautiful... we need a remake
Idk brotha $350 is roughhhh, that’s more of a sealed price. Got mine sealed for $320 at a bricks and min figs last year
I got Rogue Shadow when I was a kid and I hated it. It fell apart the moment you touched it, it was impossible to play with properly. I still have it, disassembled of course.
You know, I always thought "man how do people still like these old sets of the 80's and before£ now I realise how much I loved the 00's sets
Seeing what you paid for this makes me glad I got it when it first released. This is exactly why I try to keep up with sets as they come out.
Black & dark gray were confusable back then great point
I just got this set in February 2023 without Starkiller & I ended up getting him in march for a total of $190. I always wanted it as a kid. It's my most treasured set.
I just don't care for the weapon storage function on the right wing.
I remember getting this for xmas back in the day, it really is a great shelf set, but the wings and hyperdrive were always so flimsy to play with😢😢 goated minifigs tho!!
2:04 that's my very first Lego Star Wars set that my mom bought for Easter in 2008 this set brings back some good memories from the late 2000s.☺
Had this set as a kid, and I absolutely loved playing with it. My only complaint was it was VERY fragile in certain parts
Looking at the play features, I think I had this at some point. It's weird because I don't like starwars. I think I got it in a used collection I found in the swapmeet. But it didn't have figures. I don't have the cockpit, so I guess I can't build this, but it looks doable besides that.
This set was my introduction to lego Star Wars. Up until then I was just a middle school kid who liked the movies and games. Got so lucky that this was the set we chose as our only Lego set. Now over a decade later I buy myself all the big Star Wars sets I would’ve wanted as a kid but total play time with these combined is still a fraction of the amount of time I played with that rogue shadow. The landing legs just don’t like to stay on when you play with it lol so annoying in the most endearing way
I recently built Mando's N1 starfighter and it was a fun surprisingly asymmetrical build.
Asymmetry is also growing on me as I age. Hated seeing the set as a kid, but playing the game changed my mind. Its my favorite game of all time (shout-out Nintendo Switch version), and second favorite lego ship of all time. Could use a remake for sure!
I had this set, sadly my brothers slowly destroyed it when we used to play with them, and now we are missing a bunch of pieces.
I had this set back in the day, I loved it.
I wish Lego just made sets that were as cool and functional back then now
@3:26 “The set is missing one sticker that I’ll have to order.” So much for “certified complete.”
I had this set as a kid. I got it for Christmas one year. I built it, it didnt last long. I have vivid memories of the battle damaged vader. I kinda thought the set was lame as a kid, cause I never played the force unleashed. Its pieces are in a bin down in my basement.
Congrats to you for getting a really cool set at a price you were good with! ( And in the end that is all that really matters).......... P.S. : you were kind of a beast opening your boxes as a mini master....should've chilled and kept those boxes nice. 😆
My older brother once owned this set, and both he and I were big fans of The Force Unleashed at the time. I thought it was the coolest set he owned, but for some ungodly reason he decided to strip it for parts before too long. A real shame given how valuable of a set it is.
