My favorite part of this episode is with Arya & Gendry when she tells him who she really is and he starts calling her "my lady" and she keeps pushing him. They don't know it, but it's like Ned & Robert with their friendship only the next generation.

Memories don’t live like people do! When Sam said “She’s a person, not a goat” I laughed so hard I cried real tears. Watching this through your eyes reminds me of what a magical time it was watching this show. GOT was also the birth of reactions on UA-cam. Keep these coming!
Best TV reactors out there rn. They really watch and analyze and discuss each scene. Keeping track of stories that a lot of people needed multiple watches to catch. The best reactors make you feel like you're watching with some friends, and Hobbs and Devin always on it.

I have watched GOT probably around 30 times, and I never thought I would laugh so much while watching it. You guys crack me up!
“I can’t steal her. She’s a person not a goat.” When I first saw this show and Sam was introduced in season one episode 4, I found him really annoying. But the writing is so good, especially with all the characters, that he quickly won me over because he proves his worth by being really book smart, funny, and a really good person, and he is the opposite of Jon in ways (except for being a terrific human being) so their friendship is really interesting. And once again, the writing is so good that Sam gets a lot of great dialogue
He's hilarious. When he looks over at Jon and flutters his eyelashes and says something like "well! Looks like we're on a journey now!" 😂😂

My favorite part was seeing the fear in Cersei. She knows she cannot control Joffrey and is beginning to understand she cannot influence Tyrion. And the loss of control terrifies her, probably why she lashed out at Tyrion.

I’ve never understood why people hated Varys so much. I started rocking with him, or at least giving him the benefit of the doubt after he was the only one who really tried to help Ned for the sake of the people and not for his own sake (like Littlefinger and Renly), and after he brought Ned water when he was in the dungeon and tried to help him even then.

They never explain this in the show, but only highborn bastards - bastards who are acknowledged by their fathers - are given names. This is why Jon is Jon Snow (his father Ned acknowledges him, and bastards from the North are named Snow), but Gendry is just "Gendry". He has no claim to the throne, despite being Robert's son. For the record, if Robert had acknowledged Gendry, his surname would be Waters (NOT Rivers, as a later show mistakenly said), but he still would have no claim to the throne unless he was legitimized by Robert - in which case he would become Gendry Baratheon.
As for the black folks, the majority of them live in the Summer Islands (Sallador Saan is a Summer Islander), which is south of Westeros. The Velaryons in House of the Dragon were made black, but they're white in the books. There IS a (supposed) black Targaryen named Nettles, but that's a lonnnng story that has nothing to do w/GoT.

In the show, Cersei didn't know that Joffrey was going to order the murders of Robert's bastards. That's why Tyrion commented that Joffrey didn't even tell her he was going to do it. He didn't consult her at all, which demonstrates a dramatic shift in power between them. Cersei is disturbed by what he did, but she's probably more concerned about the power imbalance. Lena Headey did an excellent job portraying the complexity of this character.

I really don't understand you guys' beef with Varys, the worst he's done so far was:
a) save Daenerys and Vyseries when they were babies and ship them to Penthos to avoid Robert's wrath
b) send an assassin to give poisoned wine to Daenerys when Robert ordered her dead.
Yeah, Varys is actually more trustworthy than many other characters, but it doesn't seem that way for quite a while
The episodes like this are maybe not as exciting as some, but these are the episodes you need to pay attention to spoken or insinuated topics.

My ex thought that I only liked this show for the nudity. I actually agree that it doesn't really add anything to the story. Since we were having problems at the time though, I just told her that they have a quota they have to meet every episode.
So about movie reactions: I think you'll do best if you stick to reacting to what you want to watch, so if that means TV then by all means do that.
For what it's worth, I hope you don't give up on movies entirely. Your videos get better all the time as you get better at reacting and editing, and if you want to go back to movies later I think you'd do great. You should pick better ones though.
