Used your video to setup our new TS-h973AX, thank you!
Hi!
I'm considering buying a h973AX - but coming up short from various reviews on how much noise the base unit makes with the single 1 x 140mm fan. I plan to use it with SSD only, so HDD noise should not be a consideration.
I'm pretty noise sensitive, and plan to have it in the living room, so very keen on peoples thoughts on the noise produced from it. The last thing I want in my living room is a constant buzzing or wooshing sound from a fan.
Do you think h973AX would be sufficiently silent without HDDs?
Excellent video. Is there a way to have the NAS periodically backup my whole computer or parts of it?
Thank you, Dan
Hey Dan
The easiest way to do this is map a drive to your PC from the NAS and then use it like a day to day folder. In that way the files are safe in the NAS just like it would be in a cloud folder.
I have been thinking for a while of replacing all my storage on my pc with just a boot drive and then have all my games and files on a NAS
Why do you have to directly plug into the router? I thought you Ethernet to a switch?
Heya!
You can do either. I used to do direct but I got through switch now
