How do you adjust a neck or arm size? For example, the discoverer tee is a really great pattern I like a lot, but the neck is higher than I really like. How would you adjust the neck line to make it an inch lower and then the band? Where do you measure the neck opening? 1/4 inch from the edge to get the initial measurement or the edge?
You can re-draw the neckline and then remeasure the band so you have the length that fits! I like to make these changes on the pattern because fabric can stretch :) Here's our video on measuring your own bands! ua-cam.com/video/fBS39wHrJcI/v-deo.html
Thank you! I wanted to try to do the leggings but my waist is bigger than my hips. How do I grade the waistband to go with a smaller size for the other pieces?
Mark the top of the waistband at your waist size, and then Mark the bottom of the waistband in the *middle* of your waist and hip size. That's because the bottom of the waistband isn't all the way at your hips. Hope that helps!
I take my bust and waist measurements to use to grade my bodices. I’m a small bust and a large waist. I grade by drawing a line from the small bust, starting to angle out in an even grade after the bust line, and end at a large by the time I reach the waist line. Then I cut the bodice this way.
I never feel confident grading but you explained this so well and made me feel a lot more confident!
Grading has been an interest to me. Thank you so much

If I need to adjust for height and grade for different sizes, what should I do first? Height adjustment or grading?
Is the ease listed anywhere on the patterns, this would be helpful.

How do I do this with the Lakeisha?!? So many more parts! It’s intimidating

I can make a video on how I grade the Lakeisha.
It would be nice to have a tutorial for the pants. Smaller waist, larger waist, and much bigger height than the waist.
Which size did you choose for the neckline and armhole ?
You'll use the bust size for the neckline and armhole :)
