A note: if you trip while in a line heading backwards, immediately get out of the way. Whether you gotta roll or scoot for dear life, just try your best to move
Just thought I’d let you know how much I appreciate this comment. I just fell and my run though and it was the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever done,, but knowing that you can see getting up positive really helped me :)
Right, sometimes people don't understand that, if you fall, the run keeps going. We don't stop. If you're on the ground, you're gonna get run over. I've seen somebody try to stop a full run in a rehearsal because another person had fallen, and they ended up confusing a fair amount of people because they shouted stop pretty loud, and they also had a similar voice to one of our directors.
@@cretaceousgrace ikr! Before Bands Of America, nearly every night I’d have nightmares about one set where I was really close to the pit, and I’d have different nightmares about tripped over a Glock, or bumping into the glock, or slipping on our Follow The Leader, and I’d have nightmares about having to roll out of the way so nobody tripped over me
Seriously how do trumpet players fall. I've carried quads for 5 years and have never collapsed like these people. Tripped? Sure. But never eaten dirt so badly.
@@beterwithab Not hard to march with a light object in your hands. Much more difficult to march with 45 pounds pulling you forward. It seems to be a skill difference, as drumlines typically work and train harder.
There was a fail in my band once. To keep their anonymity I’m going to use drummer and field commander (who was also a drummer) Drummer: Hey field commander, my drum isn’t working. Can you take a look at it? Field commander: yeah. Looks like it’s out of tune. The drum imploded when the field commander tried to tune it. It. Fucking. Imploded.
He tried to run with a tanner drum set. Those are too heavy. The bass drum is lighter and chest level, the other is at the waist. Um, of course he’s going to fall
It’s almost always about recovery. That tenor drum who fell when they were racing was straight up stupid. Same with the snare-stabber. I hope that those drums were their own, because they’re expensive as hell to replace.
I could sense that the second dude wasn't marching correctly. If the field is muddy or slippery and you don't roll step or march correctly you will fall.
the marching Geese were adorable...soooo sweet....as for the student punching holes in the instrument was not funny at all...shame on you for including this behavior in your video...you should have known better...
A note: if you trip while in a line heading backwards, immediately get out of the way. Whether you gotta roll or scoot for dear life, just try your best to move
But what do you do when you're going backwards and you don't know what's happening behind you?
@@guillie unless it’s the first time marching those sets idk why you wouldn’t know what’s going on behind you
@@ilikechez5775 Okay nevermind, I just now understood what you said.
@@guillie all good 👍
that second guy is a legend.
Got right back up and kept going

@@MoonlitDragon hey dont worry about it! You got this. Falling and being able to get up is perfectly normal. It happens to the best of us 😌

It rained at my last competition last season, we were on turf and it was beyond slippery. I slipped and fell to my knees but kept going 😭
2:01 how is this a fail, I see this as an absolute win.
I’m surprised this isn’t on daily dose of internet 😂😂
El stupido
Even the ducks are walking in time better than me sadge
that’s what im saying i was so happy when i saw it xD
This made me smile when I saw this
When that guy kept puncturing holes in the marching snare that was another type of hurt😭😭😭
When I saw that I was like “What the f*ck? Who pissed off this kid so badly that he’s doing stabbing practice on his drum?”
It probably got punctured or ripped "naturally" so they just made a mockery of it before replacing the head
I sure hope so because when I saw that it hurt fr
As someone in percussion it probably happened by accident and then they poked holes in it for fun 🤩 and then we proceed to keep the head
The head was in need of replacing anyways so they decided to have fun with it. What you never played drums before?
The tenors falling off his harness made me physically hurt.
That seems like something the tenor in my band would do
It’s always a chain reaction, one person falls and then knocks everyone else over
Well yeah. Sousaphones aren't focused what's going on behind them. Well they can't really look backwards anyway
@@mikejones2542 I’m aware, I’m in marching band
I could only cry out with laughter when that baby faced trumpeter played a bed time lullaby!🤣😂

Well actually march as a trumpet player and you will see.

The ground was wet. 🙄
@@samuelbrice3699 i play quads it’s very heavy
anyone can lock there knees, even a trumpet player.
As a percussionist this hurt
That guy stabbing the snare 😨😱😰😭
That was not a fail at the end. That was just cute.
The marching geese were not a fail. They were amazing
Love the marching ducks. Adorable.
Those ducks do not belong in this video. Those ducks belong in a marching band success compilation.
Not to be a nerd but those were geese…
Those geese were adorable lol
Indeed. They were probably thinking, "What? Hasn't anyone seen a goose before???""
See, when I started band, I used to watch these and think they were funny. Now that I'm joining marching band next year, these are mildly terrifying.
the first one is when the marimbas/ vibraphones sync with the people falling
Last year, the guy in our pit section who would play the gong broke it by hitting it so hard it cracked.
1:12 how do you just… y e e t?
lol that was my band 💪
1:25 I get that the drumhead was probably old and needed a new one ..but man that...that still hurts me inside
1:56 omg they finally made it for front ensemble to march YASSS NEVER THOUGHT I'D LIVE TO SEE THE DAY
STOP THE FIRST ONE-
When all the sousaphones fell over 😂

Ah this hurt me so bad! Especially the percussion ones because one of my best friends are percussion and they would DIE if they saw this
0:15 rip sousaphones
Those ducks don't know what left foot first is. SMH
The second meme with the trumpet was halarious. Typical trumpet 🙄🤚
How is the one with the birds a fail smh
1:16 dude's just going full lizzie borden on that drum
the first one was my school in 2012 and they wont let us forget it...
2:14 i see no problem. I think thats a win bro. Their marching is better than some highscools including mine
The geese stole the show!
Here before this channel goes viral!
Having any woodwind besides saxaphone on the field is simply a formality
Okokok hear me out, at the beginning they at least fell almost in time 🤣
I’m not gonna lie, the girl who tossed up her flag and it got stuck on the gate, I thought the pole ripped off the flag😅
I cryed so bad when I saw him murder that snare 1:20
Plot twist: all the fails were part of the show
Hey I’m in this video!
What part
Which part-
Where?

those ducks just tryna march and be polite that aint no fail
bro those ducks got better feet in time than my band💀
As a used to be colorgaurd i can confirm, this was my marching band lol
And that’s y we don’t do marching glocks
The way the sousaphone players started piling up in the first clip😭
This is my guilty pleasure😪
1:52 I knew there were these instruments that had the same harnesses as any drum harness
This was just pain to watch (I personally am in marching band so this just HURT)

never run with tenors on.

whats the band of the first one?
ok but when I fall or do something wrong I always laugh

DONT. PUT. YOUR. HEELS. DOWN. IN. A. BACK. MARCH. Luv u
It is so hard to carry some instruments and a TRUMPET player falls 👁️👄👁️❔❔❔
It’s not a fail to put holes in a drum on purpose
At least the important thing is they all got back up

Watching those is Susa’s fall hurt my soul
