Thank fo noticing that. I put temporary carpet piece on the top step because tile flooring on this level will be replaced to a new one. Then this top step will be updated with bigger piece of carpet.
who taught you how to do stairs? You have the bottom to top correct...but tack against the riser is ok but not necessary on the side of stairs...you can even get away with nailing the seam or crease from riser to footing by stapling as well to avoid a heel getting caught on a tack....but you never put them on the sides....it looks good and the side cuts for the bottom step...theres a better way and looks much nicer.....over cut carpet longer than end of step....fold into tip of carpet at angle and cut...then wrap and trim
@@MrStukov thank you very much for the quick reply ! I live in the U.K. and usually carpets are sold 4m or 5m width wise and then you usually pick the length needed in meters also. But thank you for the reply for your carpet dimensions our stairs seem to be similar in size but will measure my stairs for sure .
I am updated description of video with the names of the tools and links to places where you can get them. To make project cheaper you can substitute some ot them. For example I am used miter saw to cut tack strips, but it's possible to cut them using basic hand saw.
Or use strip cutters that only cost 45.00 ....plus using an air compressor and pneumatic staple gun is sooooo over kill... a good duofast electric staple gun is faster better and the correct tool
This subject interests me but I couldn't watch until the end because I got seasick with these images which constantly move in all directions! Damage...
Эта ступень сделана отдельно. На ней установлен временный кусок ковролана из остатков. Когда на этаже, куда ведёт лестница будет установлено окончательное половое покрытие эта ступень будет переделана.
Very good looking professionally done job. Awesome procedure! Thanks for sharing your method.
Glad that you like it, you made my friday! :)
Thanks for posting i have all the kit but not the experience but i am confident in doing a straight set of stairs
Welcome!
Great video thankyou. Do you tack the riser at the bottom on every step? That's all I didnt see. Fab job!!
Very nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
kings of fast forward
Very nice job.
Glad that you like it!
Nice effort but this video does not show how to stretch the carpet onto the step. Stretching is vital to prevent rippling and buckles.
Clean ...thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Great job.
You made it look so damn easy tho 😂
Glad that you like it, if you inspired everything looks easy to do until you get started :)
Well done!
You gave me the confidence to do mine. Thanks!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
I like
Thanks!
Very good job, didn't tell us what nails you used in the nail gun....
Thanks, Grip Fast® 1/4" Crown 5/8" Leg 18-Gauge Bright Narrow Crown Staple - 1,000 Count
Many thanks keep up the good work!!!!
@@mkay6089 Glad that you like it!
Thanks for the Video. How this was your Underlay? Plus thickness of the grippers?
Sorry I meant to write how thick was the underlay?
Hi, it was 3/8" thick bit.ly/3AGnksS
underlay should go gripper to gripper as per standards of fitting, issue is heel and toe you will get over time causing a hole on riser.
Thanks that makes sense, but I am frankly don't understand how underlayment on risers help to protect carpet on it from wearing.
Only on waterfall method not cap and band.
one thing i think we all missed was the dodgy secound step cut missing the corner
+ top step too short

Were you using staples to attach the carpet or nails?

@@MrStukov thanks! Last one, do you think I can get away with using an electric nail gun or I really need to use one that has a compressor?
Is the chisel cutting the carpet?
No, this thing with red handle is named Carpet Tucker and it has dull edge
What are the dimensions of the carpet used ?
Great job !!!
Could you clarify your question? Carpet that I used in my project. Sells in rolls that 10’ wide so a I got length that enough to cover my stair.
@@MrStukov thank you very much for the quick reply !

Fuck I should've paid attention in geometry lol
На последней ступени в низу видно зазоры между ковром и лестницы !!!

My dads watching this video and he’s absolutely fuming 🤦🏻♂️
Автор что ты там показывал то..?
Показан процесс обшивки лестницы ковролином.
I couldn't watch due to camera moving around, and that music....barffffff.
Sorry to hear that, we all learning to do something my next videos has a steady cam so no camera shaking.
Terrible for teaching because it’s in sped up time lapse. Doesn’t show how do mount carpet at all or why your doing things. Sucks
Sorry that it's not help you.
