I know how it feels. I did not have much money growing up. Know what quality is, safe up and maybe you are lucky one day and find a quality pair that is used for a few bucks.
In my opinion it's better, you learn more about how to dress well on a budget. One of the best things is to be able to dress like a wealthy man, when you're on a limited finance. So if you do one day earn enough, you'll know a lot more than those who just have others dress them. Money doesn't buy you class, there are many politicians out there who demonstrate that very well.
Charles Martel it's just sometimes cheaper in the long run to buy the higher quality product. Especially shoes, coats and suits if you wear them! Although every man should have a suit in a non offensive colour such as Navy or some type of grey from mid to charcoal.
I recently bought myself the hydro proof gloves from fort Belvedere and let me just say I was not expecting them to be super soft out of the box both outside and inside. I love them. I got myself the gray ones and they match my whole wardrobe.
in December I bought a pair of lampskin leather gloves with cashmere lining only with 80$ they are handmade and because the company was small I think that I made a great purchase
30 seconds in and I already know he's gonna convince me to shell out $300 on a pair of gloves that I'll be too afraid to wear in case I get them dirty..... Sigh! Alexa.....show me high-quality gloves. I have a shopping problem.
As a suggestion try having a place where you keep your gloves when you are not wearing them such as a drawer perhaps or what I do I have a wooden jewelry box with a green felt lining that I keep my leather gloves in especially during the off season but again just a thought to help you prevent losing your gloves.
Captain Hans Geering I believe you would be a tiny bit more conscious about where you put your $300 gloves compared to those $30 gloves. Put them in your pocket, or briefcase if you have one.
I bought a pair of Day Wolf heated gloves and liners. They are soft and can be heated and kept warm. They are mainly cost-effective. In winter, I can work typing, drive, and keep warm at the same time. Only personal advice.
$30 definitely aren’t good for an outfit, but they are perfect for a pair you don’t care about and just need to protect your hands when putting in hard work
I recommend when recording if you plan to have motion to bump the frame rate over resolution. 4k is nice but horrible if you can't record a min 60fps moving. The shot showing the blue gloves up close while moving was like 360p in quality with the blurr from moving. I assume in order to shoot 4k the camera has a low shutter speed. In those shots you may want to boost it as high as possible or consider upscaling a 1080 shot after recording with a even higher shutter speed if you can't change it much from its current state.
Thank you so much! I had bought some $50 carhartts and they were even worse than your $30 gloves because I guess they were more of a work glove. Anyways, Im going to order some lambskin with cashmere inner gloves. I have one Im looking at but theyre rather cheap, so Im hesistant to waste another $40 if its not what Im looking for. Are Sage and Brown gloves any good? These are made with nappa leather and comes with either cashmere or rabbit fur lining. At £95 they seem very good value.
Womens gloves are cut in a more narrow way, and tend to have a longer cuff. Mens gloves tend to be boxy, and have really short cuffs, because why on earth would you want your wrist or forearm to be warmed? XD Womens gloves can be found with smooth backs without the 3 cartoonish lines on the back of the hands, whereas mens gloves always have them(I don't want my gloves to look like Mickey Mouse). Women's glove options are flatout better than mens.
Prince of Wales Check Overcoat? My father had a similar Peacoat bought from Aquascutum in 1978 and he's still wearing it when the Police brought him home at 3am last night sadly he suffers from Alzheimer's at 92 years old but his coat prevails.
I always struggle whenever I'm in the market, looking to invest in a high quality pair of leather gloves - namely black leather gloves, since they're a universal color that goes well with petty much anything. I'm a young businessman who lives in New York, so gloves this time of year are all but mandatory, I'm afraid. That is, unless you want your fingers to experience frostbite and subsequently fall right off your hands. That wouldn't be a pretty sight! My issue stems from not wanting to sacrifice practicality and comfort, for aesthetics (i.e., shine, design, patterns of lining glossiness, fit, and so forth), or vice-verse. Ideally, I wouldn't like to compromise either one - if you see what I'm getting at here. I make good money, so I wouldn't mind investing in a pair of dress gloves that would set me back, upwards of around $300 - I really wouldn't. My thing is not really knowing whether a given pair would be the right pair to purchase. The options here are plentiful, as you can only imagine Look, style and appeal, matter to me a great deal, as I'm a man who spends most of his time wearing suits, dress shoes, overcoats, peacoats, and quite a few accessories. Gloves accentuate the look of whatever you may be wearing on a given day, so that's why they matter so much to me. Thank you for the extremely detailed and highly informative video. I always learn so much from you. It's such a delight to be able to follow you, here on UA-cam. Take care!
I'll entertain the suggestion, but it's without any promises, my friend. Sadly, I'm in a line of work that prefers conservative colors, over those that could be perceived as flamboyant. Nevertheless, I'll consider the recommendation for personal wear, if nothing else. Thanks again!

I haven't looked threw all you videos but can you do one on suspenders? Love the content on your channel I'm a young man myself, who enjoys dressing well on more than just special occasions and am hoping to expand my wardrobe with classic mens wear. keep the videos coming.
On one hand, quality gloves are an investment (actually, the gentleman's wardrobe can be a serious investment). It's not only about warm hands in the wintertime. On the other hand, if anyone desires to be(come) a gentleman, this can only be a start (there is no shortcut or discount on this path). Elegance and style are not facts, they are daily habits. Becoming a gentleman involves a lot of tacit knowledge... I personally know very few who make a contribution similar to Gentleman's Gazette.
Actually, you can call it whatever you want, there is no trademark on the word. Everyone is better off if men start holding themselves to higher standards. Unfortunately, I don't see an overwhelming majority of people who speak, dress, behave and argue according to the "standards" of a true gentleman. It takes years of practice and dedication...
I also find that the term "gentleman" means something very different out of The UK. In America, a man who argues, fights, shouts, speeds on the roads, ect can be a gentleman.
Silverstar treat your wife/girlfriend good, be there for your kids, be respectful to people and yourself, earn your keep, you don’t need years of practice , nor be in anyone’s standards, then you’ll be alright. It’s just in you, your nature
I bought some Roeckl gloves the other day. I live in Munich and stumbled across them. So far I really like them! I was wondering what your connection with Munich is since I heard you mention it here and there?
Need to do glove shopping at some point, thanks... seems like there is actually a difference... hope it actually reflects too. I need them to work for at least few hours for keeping warmth. Cheap ones always like 20min outside or less... well my hands are freezing.
I am ready to buy myself my 1st pair of quality leather gloves. Was wondering what color you would recommend buying that would go well with many colors?
I just bought a pair of Alwyn gloves, which was old stock since the company no longer exists after the passing of the owner. They're made of capeskin and feel awesome, however I was wondering if I could have a button put in the seam at the opening? They fit great, but the parts at the wrist kinda go everywhere when wearing and won't stay snug.
Wonderful video appreciate learning about the difference between a quality pair of leather gloves verses a inexpensive pair to some it may seem wasteful to invest in a really good pair of leather gloves but as you highlight in your video over the course of time in the long run you come out way ahead thanks for the information!
Came for a video that would guide me about a pair of 40$ (though I got a discount from boxing day, so a bit lower) Auclair deer leather winter gloves (I couldn't find images of them online. Not even on their website. They have a bunch of products that don't an image). First off, I doubt they are hot enough to be used for prolong amounts of time outside in the winter of where I live (think of -20 Celcius being an unsurprising temperature)... But they do look nice. They have enough enough slack between the thumb and index to arch with my hand when I put them in a 90degree angle. They have the lining and filling of cheap gloves. And the actual leather exterior (which is supposedly 100% deer leather) seem kinda thin and dubious at place, but not as thinly cheap as different pair of glove I have (which were cheaper, when I bought them). If it fails to be what it's supposed to be, I'll be sure to return them. ... I'm not a connaisseur in leather gloves. I don't know what to expect (except for the cut). When I hear leather, what comes to my mind is something that can withstand heavy-duty stuff (though, not to the same level as leather work gloves). ... But my Auclair gloves do, at least, smell of leather. Since I have big hands (my gloves are range from Large to Extra-Large), not every glove is gonna fit my well. And if it fits me, it may not pass my 90degree thumb/index arch test. They were some much comfier (in term of keeping hands hot), but they were either too small bulky or didn't pass my thumb/index test. ... I'm sure some 300$ gloves would be awesome, but it's not an investment I'm willing to do at the moment. I don't have enough expendable outcome, at the moment. ... I might just buy hotter gloves too.
When it comes to leather gloves I wish there was a company that will make them costom to your hands ,it like tee-shirts you can see the shoulder area _unless you have a perfect body
Try Etsy. I'm trying to price out what a quality pair of gloves would cost and it seems like some gloves there will make your fingers whatever you need since they're handmade like these are.

I would love to get the gray Peccary glove with Alpaca lining you have on your website ... but, damn, it's pricey! Not to mention, your the only one who seems to be selling this combination.
They are quality gloves and get better over time. You can easily spend $400 - 500 on peccary gloves of similar workmanship and quality. So yes, they are not cheap but comparatively, they are great value, especially since it is difficult to find this color.
My taior can make a pair of lamb nappa gloves with lamb fur or bunny fur lining or cashmere (basically anything except alpaca) with Quirks for 50$ with all the specific measurements and mostly any color, would you call that a cheap glove ?
It depends on where you live of course. But a tailor and a glovemaker are very different crafts. It's like saying my car mechanic can build me a house and I save a lot. Even if he is a great mechanic it doesn't mean you get a great house.
Sorry for that, the person/enterprise who it is a glovemaker that can tailor make gloves, i have a smaller pinky than my size of the glove, but all the other fingers fit well so i gotten to him because of that (a smaller i bearly fit on my hand and the fingers aren't fiting that well).

Anybody out there thinking of buying a pair of Honns gloves? Don't. I did, and three weeks later one of the stitches gave out. I contacted them, and here's what they replied: "We do not accept returns/refunds or offer exchanges for gloves that have been used. We apologize for the inconvenience." So basically they have no warranty or quality control on a $150 pair of gloves. Nice going HONNS!!
in construction/ helper. my hands get tore -up all time! if I bought the $15 gloves.. I get 3 days out them.. $5. gloves I be lucky get 1 day.. sometimes 2. most the time.. I just go without.. dig out the spliteres when I get home! ...$300-$500. for gloves /or shoes.. (that's nuts).
The true difference comes down to how quickly you'll lose them. A $30 pair of gloves will last until they wear out. With a pair of $300 gloves one will inexplicably go missing after about two weeks. $100 gloves about 3 months before they get lost.
Hehe, but can you Ice Fish in them? I know alot about gloves and there use. I work with my hands all day long, and ware gloves like most people wear socks. All the gloves he is talking about are awesome, and specialized. Just like what your doing with your hands. Many valid points he gives that can be used for the most expensive work gloves. Quarks are found in all quality gloves, no matter there purpose. And he nails the point about the odor. I have a very expensive pair of gloves that work for 'shoveling snow' and Ice Fishing with :) Then I have a $6 pair of gloves I use for 10 days, then discard. I have never used 'driving gloves', I love to feel the road. Even have gloves for pumping petrol lol! And since covid, well, more gloves ... sadface
Simply put, I once bought an expensive pair of fine gloves that fit perfect and looked beautiful, were comfortable, and lasted me almost...25 years.
Thanks for sharing!
For some reason, I was expecting: "...2 months, until I lost them" :)

What color is the most versatile for these elegant gloves?
Arian Shadoe Tontowi Yellow
dayglo pink, probably. gotta be visible
Since you showed some driving gloves, one was wondering what kind of car you drive.
Audi A6
Gentleman's Gazette What year?
@@ishowyouapple 1999 he spent all his money on the gloves
Always informative! Is that a regular scarf you're wearing & is there a video? The way you wear it is very eye catching!
That's a red Fort Belvedere cashmere scarf - www.gentlemansgazette.com/shop/accessories/scarves/cashmere-scarf-red-solid-large-luxurious-fort-belvedere? Will be in stock again next week.
I explain how I tie the scarf here www.gentlemansgazette.com/how-to-tie-a-scarf/?
Thank you Mr. Schneider!
I already lost 2 left hand gloves this winter. I totally give up trying to wear gloves even if its 20F outside...LOL
Elk makes the best gloves
im just here to see if the quality ones is more fingerprint resistant
The hard part is to find gloves that match both finger length and hand width.
The cheap one is way too expensive for me
i can't take my eyes off the red suede gloves
He looks like he wore it out the san fran goodwill
You can't buy class. As long as you know this, it doesn't matter what gloves you buy.
i really like that yellow looking pair. black ones are cool too. but they look too much like murderer's gloves.
The overcoat?
Vintage Austin Reed
I buy $16-30 USD patent shiny gloves they do the job, $100^ is too much I would only spend that on a PC or Glovebox 80cm rubber gloves
in construction/ helper. my hands get tore -up all time! if I bought the $15 gloves..
This is literally what happened to me 2 weeks ago. Then 4 weeks ago. So basically I lost 2 pairs of gloves and both were pricey too 😭😭😭
Thieves in your household
Is it just me or he sounds like stewie
And since covid, well, more gloves ... sadface
I thought it was CSGO video
