Dragan has a calming, mesmerizing way with children. In the video, one can see that he never erupts in 'Bravo!", or loses the child's attention by speaking to the parent... or changes his zen demeanor and I gather that it is in order to draw the child into the 'zone'. It works and as a mother of a student who spent 13 years in his and Vera's studio, that is part of their magic! Bravo, Dragan!
Wow… I like the teaching method, it is really so difficult to teach a kid, but the tutor has a very lovely patience. He is so dedicated violin tutor. Great job .👍🏻🎻
This kid looks pretty young. Most of my students who start aren't so young, but I do have a 4 year old at the moment and the place where I teach has instituted a no-touch policy. The use of touch by this teacher is CLEARLY a necessity to his teaching style. He doesn't even give verbal directions hardly, it's mostly him guiding the kid and physically showing him the motions and the kid gets it really quickly. I wish I could do this! I'm glad that the no-touch ridiculousness isn't prevalent everywhere in today's society, because it really is a helpful tool in teaching music.
I think that, with young kids no touching is just impossible in order to teach violin playing. But instead, parents presence is a must!!! I don't addmit children without an adult present during the class. And with very little ones, family must be involved. I recommend you www.stringpedagogy.com Mimi Zweig site, as it is the best violin teaching resource I found online up to now.
@@SofiaViviEnDo covid violin teacher... it is a challenge.. but I've taught 3 new students fully online aged 6-7. It is possible with communication but i miss the contact so so much.
I agree. There is difference between appropriate and inappropriate physical touch. Bowed instruments are such a tactile activity that guided physical touch is necessary in many aspects of our pedagogy.
This is the video of the teaching style that I copied with homepractise with my almost 3 year old 2 years ago and its been working fine, suited our personalities, very hands on teaching, close and lots of talking. Worked really fine with me and my kid. So thanks, without this video we probably wouldnt be doing book 1 concert now :)
Omg when i was kid i always feel missing out on learning classical instrument. My parents didn’t even give me opportunity, they would make me do something else expect music. As aldult i just wanna let my kid try. He is only very young but this video warms my heart
That's so cute! I was googling my own video (ariviolin) and came across my namesake's first lesson! Is he still playing? Tell him hello from Iceland :)
I love the teachers patience. He is a saint. Its very hard to keep the childs attention focused but this teacher does it amazingly.

This lesson was far more informative and fun than the previous Emo's. I liked the part where the teacher took his ankle bracelet off. Badass teacher.

No- touch is an absolute nonsense! You MUST guide your beginner's hands.
