The first car subwoofers I ever had were kicker comps. The original kicker Comp and the late 80s
In 1984 i took the woofers out of a set of Speaker lab house speakers and built a "custom" box to fit in my 73 Nova, had a pioneer super tuner2 with an Evergreen 7band eq hooked up running my jensen 6x9s and and factory dash speaker! Then hooked up a Sparkomatic 40watt power booster to the woofers seperatley and it actually sounded pretty damn good for 1984!!.. not alot bass music back then but it definitely added bottom end to whatever i listened too!
My first was an Image Dynamics IDQ-12, in 1996, in a 1989 Mazda B2200 mini truck.
First woofer Orion 12 back in 95 with and Punch 45 amp.
Was it an XTR orion?

My first woofer was a Kicker comp c 15 in a ported box.
My first "system " was 2 15" Pyle and 2 10" Pyles with piezos stuckbin the air vents of my Suzuki Samarai. A Pioneer 200 watt home amplifier powered by an inverter run through passive crossovers. It sounded really good. Oh, and a Pyramid passive eq. You could literally hear it for moles with the top down.
Firstsub was a orion 15 ina. Homemade box 3.2 cu was tuned to 33hertz. Crazy to say but i had the loudest system at my school 😂 like 500rms to it was a fi for fli

I had suing Vega house speakers before I ever had any certain vehicle car speakers.

I've had several different cerwin Vega car woofers
I still have a pair of Vegas series 12s from years ago.
And he still has it and using it from2006 to 2022
I don't remember the model number but I know they weren't the Strokers but they were old school Cerwin Vegas back in the day with the orange surround
The one I had in the vid was an XL, but I also had Vega series which had an orange surround too
My first subwoofers were 2 Rockford Fosgate Punch 12's with the inverted dust caps with the white logo in a Obcom bandpass box with the plexiglass front on a Punch 150 I Bumped it proudly every day for 4 plus yrs with no problems Was the life of many keg parties🔈🔉🔊 👍🏽👊🏽✌🏽💯

first driver was 12in kicker comp in a sealed enclosure on 300-400 watts in the back of a toyota camry in 2011. i separated the spider from the cone playing bass i love with with the amp hooked up to a pc power supply playing off a ps3 through an onkyo receiver. Had no clue what i was doing with the gain and the cone threw like double what it was supposed to.

I still have my first system LOL. Sitting in storage. 4 infinity beta 12s. Had them powered by 2 fosgate power bd1000 amps. Had all that in a 93 blazer. Hit hard and got a lot of attention back in the early 2000s. I’ve since moved up to 4 15inch sundowns. But my old system is a backup and still hits hard for over 20+ year old gear

Dude I had those Power Acoustic amps with the plexiglass. Apc2200 running 3 JL 15w6’s and Apc580 on the mids. Circuit board couldn’t handle the vibration. I killed three apc2200’s. Sound was pretty clean though.
They were fun for the time, but a short time lol
My first subs were like 300w Obcons. Quickly moved up to Audiobahns. Then my dad gave me some old school kickers, and when that wasn’t enough I upgraded to a JL 12w7 with the 1000/1. Which I didn’t have for long because someone broke into my car on Christmas Day. Oh the joys of having “friends”.🙄💩
Btw; Thanks for the upload. I’ve just recently picked up 2 12’s of this specific model. Have 2 MOJO 15’s as well. Your input on power handling is definitely helpful before I get things installed.💯
I'm newish to car audio so my first was technically an early 2ks 6.5" jbl home audio sub, but my first proper sub to go into my car is a Fosgate P3D4 10

My first subwoofer was a JBL GT 15 powered with an LA sound Hermosa.
By the size of its magnet it is 1400w and no way 3,8k w! it's like B2 IS15
first woofer was a rockford fostgate 10inch punch hx2. pounded that sub for years right up until i was cleaning my truck and removed box, accidentally dropped it on its side and the magnet was knocked off, was a sad day.
My first woofer was 2 JBL GTO 12 inch.
I have the JBL GTO hooked up to a Phoenix Gold M100 in a ported kicker SS1200 box.

Rockford Fosgate 12 inch series 1 was my first subwoofer. Ran it off of a LA Sound Malibu 120
Wow! I had that same LA sound Malibu 120. I used it for 2-10 inch super pros, then 2-12inch Fosgate punches probably series 2, then 2-12inch Hollywood’s. It was my 1st amp! I had it until 2008 when I sold it for a few extra bucks. Didn’t really have any value to me anymore.
My first subs were some 8 inch mtx blue thunders. They got stolen. Had a friend with 20 15s crunch in a van. My biggest system was 6 12 inch eminence-sealed, 2 18 inch eminence in bandpass boxes in a ford escort lol.
Ive got 2 of those BAMF 15's on a Kicker DXA 1500.1 and they beat like crazy. They love the lows.
Seems like a nice setup. Is it a ported or sealed box?
@@SparkedEd Ported around 32. Im planning on putting them in a sealed enclosure. They are getting roughly 800 RMS a peice in a little over 2 cubic foot per chamber. I have them inverted myself. They beat hard as fck but I say they need at least 3 cubic foot per sub.
Update,put them in a sealed at 2.5' per sub,they sound a whole lot clearer and still hit them lows.

Mid 90’s pioneer IMPP 12’s they had the gold emblem came in sealed, ported and infinite baffle I think. First subs I bought new. I’m super nostalgic about them and am still trying to find some I’d like to own 3 pairs of 12’s 2 pairs of 15’s 2 pairs of 10’s and 2 pairs of 8’s I don’t think they made 18’s. Also always wanted to here the fosgate Hx2’s they were new when I got out of Audio. Also had a pair of 10’ fosgate “Audiophile” subs. I now get my subs custom made cause I’m into serous Low’s tuned my boxes to 28-18 hz best I can. Bassotronics and dj slow and throw and Rusticals but some of those dj’s stuff has major distortion in the recordings so I’m careful when I play there stuff for first time I turn off my sub and listen to my mids and highs if there’s distortion I skip the track and delete it later on. Love woofer Wednesday’s!!!!!! Edwin is the man!!

The actual first was 2 pioneers then I bought 2 more pioneers. But my first big expensive one that I still have is a machete super sport 15 d2

I have two of these in 15" and two 12" Toro subwoofers and my doors flex about a half inch.
2 Rockford Fosgate series 1 12s on a 600 watt pyramid amp. In a sealed box.
My first woofer was a 12" pyle. A year later I purchased two Lanzar 10's and put them in a bandpass box. OMG one of my favorite woofers of all time! (Early 90s)
I had 2 pyramid super blue 12’s. That was in like 95 or so, in a sealed box. The good olé days🤘

2 12” MTX 7000’s and I still have them but need work done.
My first 15" was a virtual Technologies sub and giant vented Single 15" VT box.. And damn for a first 15 it was loud as hell lol.. But my first 12s where my first woofers where rockfords the equivalent to the T series now
My first woofers (if you can call them woofers) were two Altec Lansing 15 inch drivers from some monitors laying around a stereo shop I used to go bug when I was 15. They were blown but had them re-combed and stuck them in a giant box in the back of my 1970 Ford Maverick… Took out the backseat to build the box. I ran them off the two rear channels of an old Alpine stereo this was back in 1982, front channels ran a bunch of 6 1/2s and tweeters...At the time it was one of the loudest car stereos in my town of Modesto California. Sure did impress the girls!!

Of course the mtx terminators to dah kicker c15a 4ohm to Lanzar dc15 to Rockford classic 18s with triple stack mags ahhh the good ol daze
I do think that is a fantastic woofer for 130 bucks ide run two of those with about 900 watt going to them 900 per speaker would be a fantastic system

My first woofer was a mtx 5500 I believe. I had a pyle chopper series 2200 it was pretty bad ass even though I had that cheap amp
first setup actually is 2 of these Power Acoustik Bamf 15s in a 3.5c foot box per sub. so around 7c feet in a saturn ion. lol..
2 pyramid phase III 8 inchers, infinite baffle. Not loud but sound was decent.
My first setup was in 2003 I was 13 and had just gotten my first littke 1994 Honda Accord from my parents and within 3 months I had 2 12” Sony xplods amd a matching Sony color amp not the cheap ones from Walmart the pro series ones that were a real circle not the weird hex circle cheap ones and I still have one of the 12”s lol it’s in a box in my shop I use it to bench test amps and wire snd such lol works great I’ve had at least 3000 watts pushed to it easily handled it but we did re build it with a more heavy duty solid aluminum voice oil lol!!!

Good show , my first car sub was a mobile authority 12 inch (no car ) then 2 ma audio twelves with a 1200watt power acoustik amp (glowed blue) lol amp was stolen but I had those subs jamming for 15 years and they were stolen a year ago .... Now I jam a power acoustik rzr-2500d amp and a mofo-x 10 inch and I totally just ordered a bass mechanic CD with test tones , I been really having fun messing with stereos again since I was jacked and forced to update and found how affordable things are these days as well as all the knowledge at my fingertips I could hope for , thanks I'll thumb up and sub now thanks.

I am going to get a Rockville k9 12 duel 2ohm coil instead better Build options and it will match my Rockville RM-1 2000watt Mono Amp Stable at 1ohm and is CEA rated 1000 watts like the Amp, Currently im running a Lanzar max Pro 12 duel coil 4 ohm wired to 2 ohms and im Bottoming the Lanzar Out on Low Note's

My first was a couple 10" RF svc subs in a bandpass in the 90s.
My first woofers were the RadioShack Optimus pro 12s. The ones with the red lettering and the blue diamond on the dustcap.

My first subwoofer Pioneer TSW-301C has a gold OHM emblem on it loved the sound of them My second set was a pair of Orion XTR 15's back in the 90's thought they sucked in sound lol! Then the Cerwin Vega XL 12's Kove Armageddon a whole bunch of just cheap subs just to melt the voice coil on for just play seeing what the PPI Art series A1200.2 would do you are not suppose to put a 1200 wrms amp on a pair of 150 wrms subwoofers lol! But all the subs took a very long beating before meltdown!

Got it cause my U.S. Amps got jacked along with an original Hi-phonics amp for my highs. Needed something cheap to get me by and it took a lot of abuse from 17 year old me
Kicker C18 on a rodek 2150 made by hifonic's 1990 was the year.
First woofer was two mtx black gold 12s on a soundstream d100. Might buy of these and let my daughter beat on it with her hifonics brz 1200.1 and see if it will flex her grand Cherokee .

My husband's first woofer ... Unicorn... 15 in gen 3 mofo 4 inch coil chrome motor. Needs better leads and 3 spiders and a longer yoke and it would be perfect so he did all but longer yoke? I hear it so much it's memerized. Hit him up if you find a better sub. Maybe the X5 soundstream

R E Audio SE12 D2. On torque 1000. 2 amp. 500 rms MONO 1.5 slot Port tune at 35hz bang. Like two 15" in my 🐏 ram chager SUV. With 240 amp alt . doors hate it but in all it slammed ;-) got good 7 years out sub then upgraded too two 18" sxd2 on 3k each in slot PORT 📦 box TUNE@ 29HZ. @151.2 DB ;-)

Plattnum Mobile Audio They were Realistic dual voice coil. I still have them along with the biggest RadioShack car amplifier they made before they stopped making gear. I don't remember if that one is realistic or what it went by.
