Very Well done & most informative!🪴I work in garden department in Arizona & ours came in yesterday! I bought one today. I know succulents typically like to be Very Dry before watering! I learned the hard way!! Thanks for the good information!!!.
Nice channel and good tips on this plant. Two notes. This plant is from South Africa and not Madagascar. I often encounter it in Rocky grasslands. Our winters are not as extreme as you mentioned. We get about 9 hours of sunlight in winter and about 14 hours of sunlight in summer. The other interesting note is that once it flowers the mother plant dies but it normally producers many baby pups and these continue one and replace the mother plant
My Flapjack flowered months ago with four stems about a foot tall from the top of the mother plant and it's still thriving! The mother plant alone is about two and a half feet tall.
Thank you so much for this video. I have a big one. It’s about 2 feet tall but it got so tall that now is grow sideways if that makes sense. It has a lot of blooms but they won’t open. Also the bottom on the plant ( the base part ) is bright red and leaves are crispy and curling at the ends. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Ty
I was gifted one of these at Christmas... it isn't dead yet. 😂 It did get a crusty dry curling bottom leaf that fell off... so I started watering it less. I live in the north... still snow on the ground. I'm wondering if it is too cold near the window. Our heat is also only set to 60 a lot of the time...
Mine has sprouted those long flowering stems. I've let them grow and bloom but now all the flowers have dried out. Do I cut this long stem off? If so, where?
Hi Kayla, there are seven common types of flapjack succulents, which are identified by their color. The name “Flapjack” derives from their unique look of being flat on one side while curving up on the other side.
Don't worry! Equip yourself with enough knowledge will make you much more confident. Cuz you are watching our video, you are trying your best 💕 Hope your succulent grows beautifully 🌵

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Luv your voice, you sound so young thought, still luv your voice.
Just wondering how many hours or days should you let your cuttings callus over for? Thank you in advance

Mine is always closed. Will place it indoors and see what happens.
I've had two of these now, and the bottom leaves get crispy and all of the leaves curl downward. Might I be watering too sparingly? Thank you!
Similar experience. 😢
Hi 😊 can I propagate stems in water?
Yes, you can. We have a blog about this topic, hope it would be helpful ☺ succulentsbox.com/blogs/blog/water-propagation-for-succulents
I got mine not even knowing what it was put it straight into the ground water it daily and it’s huge 😂 like 6 feet across
I live in Southern California. We never have frost, is it okay to leave outside? With afternoon shade?
That's okay. As long as you don't leave them cold, it would be alright!
I keep mine under the light but they are still green, and leaves dont get those beautiful red ends 😢
Try moving it to a south or west-facing window 😉 But be careful cause they can burn easily under the hot afternoon sun
How do i get rid of black bugs on the plant
