xTool P2 CO2 Laser Cutter Test & Review

xTool sent me this CO2 laser cutter free of charge to make a few videos about it. I have full creative freedom and can state my honest opinion.
So far I like this machine a lot better than the diode laser. Only the fact that it can engrave and cut acrylic it makes it worthwhile to me. Also I've noticed the cuts are way cleaner but on the downside the engraving is lighter in color comparing to the diode.

Out of curiosity, did you ever test this on a small sheet of steel?

CO2 lasers don't work on metal. The diode laser I have "engraves" steel by heating the area until it changes color, like bluing does. But it does not cut into the surface. For metal you want a proper fiber laser.

It's not my design so I can't share the file, sorry! I got the idea from an etsy product and made the file myself, it's not that hard to make, just some circles and a little like button.

A bit noisy, yes, I guess is the air pump. A bit less noisy than other power tools though. I guess it could be used indoors, just like a vacuum cleaner, it doesn't disturb the neighbors.
