@@NooraTS20000 Omar was killed by a slave whom he refused to help when the latter was wronged by his unjust Arab master.
Omar's son then killed a bunch of random non-Arabs in retaliation for his father's assassination. He was let go by those in power.
So they were slave owners AND racists. Don't pretend that they were examples of justice and non-discrimination.
Islam has allowed slavery and the practice persists to this day among certain muslin groups and communities.

Wich brings me back to some of the louie kings in france centuries ago louie the 14th (sorry don't know the romein numerals for it) was apparently guillotined during one of the revolutions so I've heard anyway and I don't know how many other King Louie's followed that face but eventually from what I understand the monarchy was abolished in France but I don't remember from history when that happened.

I as an American, I agree it is just like a quote from Lincoln in fact he said: "The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, and more selfish than bureaucracy. It denounces as public enemies, all who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes. As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned, an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money powers of the country will endeavor to prolong it’s reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.

50 years ago I memorized this speech for my 9th grade english class. And to this day I can still recite most of it from memory. Lincoln new that preserving the ground and the dedication of 2 armies meant that if we did not learn then this nation would fail, for me this still holds true ! It is now 2021 and we are at a crossroads again. Are we going to let it fail because we as a people have grown Niaeve and forgotten that it is our country and not your or mine but belongs to all of us. I fear that this nation after such a long history is going to fall to the way side and be forgotten simply because we have forgotten how to work together and stand together again as , One Nation Under God Indivisable With liberty and Justice for All.

The best delivery of this speech is made outside, as it was pronounced by Lincoln himself, speaking with a loud and projecting voice, reaching as far as he could, to a very large audience. The rhythm of the piece was created with that foreseen circumstance in mind. The words have to be individually launched with force, with long pauses between them, and with the effort of the speaker marked, as fighting against a blowing wind. This brings back the text to the battlefield, conveying its size and the noise and movement that took place there, still echoing from the entrails of the earth. A speaker must be winded at the end, to convey the effort needed, and a sense of what the last measure of devotion might entail to those who were there. No one sheltered in a room can deliver this piece as it should be heard.

Growing up in the South, I wonder how much different history would have been if Lincoln had lived. The Republicans at that time wanted to punish the south, Lincoln was for reconciliation and peace.
In the 90's we went to Gettysburg. We could feel the ghosts there at the picket fence bordering the wheat field. We were in awe of the bravery on both sides. None of us would have marched into the fire at the wheat field. Does bravery like that still exist? Sadly almost 160 years we as a county are still wrestling with the consequences of that war. Blame does not heal, understanding is the best salve for that open wound.

A Southerner shot the US's best president over slavery. Abraham Lincoln wrote a letter to a Southern mother who lost lost all 3 of her sons in the Civil War. He expressed his remorse for their loss. She tore up his letter and threw it in the fire.
All the understanding that needs to happen is that half of America is ignorant and hateful. If Americans can shoot and kill Lincoln, if they can tell lies about him, they can do the exact same about Donald Trump and Obama.
