Why do journalists sound so defensive? Who are they defending?
Soros & his "Media Matters" funded narratives.
You know who they are defending. The democrats. While it bothers me how biased she is, in theory I'd love to see journalists be this critical of interviewees. We just ALL know they would never be this hostile towards a left wingers by critiquing then from the right, as she is critiquing then from the left.
You know the media is the Propaganda arm of the Democratic Party
Journalists are the PR Firm for the Democrats. In this interview, she's pushing the Democrat's talking points and rejecting the Republican's answers. When you watch a reporter interview a Democrat, more often than not, they'll show agreement with the Democrat's position.
They are defending their world view that they have developed over the past 2 decades since Obama won the first time. All of their friends live the same lifestyle and believe the same things. They can’t possibly fathom that an educated journalist could be so wrong about any one topic.
The smugness of that woman is so annoying. The great thing about Johnson is that he mowed her down with facts. Well done!

You typing that only shows that you are ignorant about the facts and he knows that he can manipulate you. It’s not that difficult to find studies and facts with the internet. If you learn the facts you will be able to identify those politicians, like Mr. Johnson, that are dishonest and insult your intelligence to your face.

What happened to journalism? Asking questions and then letting the person respond seems to be a thing of the past. "Journalists" now make obviously agenda-driven statements and then ask the person to respond. If the response isn't what they want, they interrupt the person, talk over them, and attempt, again, to get the interviewee to say what the journalist WANTS them to say. It's weird and disturbing.

It's been reported that Speaker Mike Johnston's political campaign has had large donations by Russian Konstantin Nikolaev. If true, He should immediately face the deepest investigation possible by the FBI and the DOJ with a view to criminal charges. Nikolaev has a company that transports ammunitions by train across Russia into the Ukraine war zone. That Johnson is blocking Ukrainian support and being funded by this Russian is Illegal and Mike should be on a high-speed train to Prison. Just because Trump is taking all his parties funding, doesn't give you the right to do that. You are lower than low and directly have the daily deaths of innocent people on your hands.

You won’t see bipartisan trip because they won’t admit there is a problem. They think it’s normal and we just adjust by sending more people to process, not stop. Just last month 302k crossed the border, and 250k something were given notice to appear, meaning they were processed and released into the US to come back for a hearing on average of 7 years from now.

Legislative branch. (Congress)
The president isn’t carrying out the law so executive.
Federal
Bills are to be written in Congress and then sent to the President to be signed into Law. Then the Congress must pass funding for enforcement of said Law. The House is refusing to pass new immigration legislation or to provide more funds to address the border because doing so might provide a political 'win' for Biden in an election year. So, they will leave the border in crisis until a Republican is in the WH just so they have something to complain about. Some of them have actually said this; the rest are cunning enough not to speak it.
The administration of President Dwight D. Eisenhower launched a military-style campaign in the summer of 1954 seeking to remove Mexican immigrants who were in the country illegally. The operation followed several other deportation efforts of the 1940s and 1950s.
A much larger one is necessary, for our republic, come the start of February 2025.

Democrats have multiple bills ready to go, Republican have refused to reform Immigration for 30 years, choosing to demogog immigrants and refugees, many of whom are desperately needed to fill jobs across the country-ask small business owners! The unemployment rate is 3.7%.
Democrats have going all the way back to Clinton. Reagan's solution was amnesty. Bush II tried the same but was shot down by Republicans. Trump tried a wall the taxpayers funded, not Mexico, and it doesn't work: ladders, ropes, portions fell over in the wind, and they're cutting holes through the steel segments.
Republicans refuse to top it at its source, the only logical place to begin, because those governments are their aspiration. 😊

I only watched the last several minutes of this but the speaker of the house seems very thoughtful, well spoken and patient with a journalist who is clearly not unbiased.

HR2, which is the second bill passed by Mike Johnson, includes the mandating of E-verify
@@KrimsonStorm looking at the E-verify provisions in HR2 it looks pretty weak. For instance an employer of 20-400 has 18 months to reauthorize workers. And it may not end up in the final bill because some republicans representing rural areas don’t want it included. So unless we have a very strong E-verify across the board don’t complain about illegal immigration.
Or a guest worker program, because that would actually work. People can enter and work and send money home to their families when our economy has the need, like now. Or not accept guest workers when our economy is unable to provide jobs for USA residents, like the economic mess during Reagan and Bush Sr. We actually have a shortage of workers now, especially workers for jobs that USA residents do not want. This Johnson guy is talking about policies that are out of date.

Perhaps one set up with our embassies to identify and vet the worker, then it would be up to the employer to provide transportation to the place of employment. I was impressed by the Speakers clear and thoughtful replies. I was very put off by the reporter. I miss the impartial journalists of the past who used to ask tough questions and not let their own views color the interview. Anyone could see that she had a definite side and agenda. Luckily he handled the interview professionally and respectfully and got his message across. People like this reporter are destroying our media with propaganda. Sadly, we can’t trust them to give us impartial information. I miss Peter Jennings. He was my favorite.

The reporter refuses to acknowledge the constitution, which is the supreme law of the United States. That is laid out in Article VI Sections 2. The same article VI requires all three branches of government, both Federal and States support “this Constitution,” not an abridged version. The Constitution’s creators wrote in to Article VI twice the words “This Constitution” to mandate that the limits, responsibilities and protections were laid out.
The fact that our Supreme Court refused to hear Texas lawsuit pointing out article 1 of the constitution was violated when secretary of states use judges to procedures to the elections without the consent of the legislature of their state. The Supreme Court by doing so allowed unconstitutional acts to cause harm to our elections and the rule of law.
