Beautiful video, however you forgot the idiom that recreated and remodelled english forever with grammar and vocabulary: Normand and Anglonormand idioms and dialects. All idioms on video above have intense connections with English. And all infos on video are well and facts. Nice Saturday for us.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and for watching the video! You're absolutely right-Norman and Anglo-Norman dialects have had a tremendous impact on the English language, especially in terms of grammar and vocabulary. In this video, we focused on modern languages that English speakers might find easier to learn today. However, the historical influence of Norman French is a fascinating topic and certainly worth exploring. We appreciate you bringing this up, and we'll consider delving into it in a future video.
As cool and easy as it might be to learn Norwegian or Dutch, most Norwegian and Dutch speakers already have almost perfect English, so you'll have to get really, really, good before it's worth it for them to speak to you in the language that you're trying to learn, and not just switch to English. I guess it's probably only worth it if you're planning to move to one of those countries permanently.
Thanks for sharing your perspective! I agree that Spanish is also a popular and accessible language for English speakers to learn. In this video, we chose Italian because of its phonetic spelling and the cultural experiences it offers. Language learning can be quite subjective-what's easy for one person might be different for another. We appreciate your feedback, and we'll definitely consider featuring Spanish in a future video!
