Great video. A quick tip: when you are laying down tracks on curves that turn on every foundation, always make a habit of placing the tracks on the middle point of the foundations. So to start off a curve, your previous straight piece of rail should end in the middle of the last straight foundation. After this when you place the next piece make sure it is always placed in the middle of the curved foundations. To end the curve, place the last piece of curved rail on the middle of the first straight foundation. This way your rails will follow the foundations perfectly no matter if you have a 5 or 10 degree curve.

Lovely "box" factory. Embrace the box. :o)
Very nice train / road designs.

Not sure if everyone is on the same boat as me but I started watching a lot of Satisfactory videos on youtube because the game was a bit hard to learn initially, which was good - but it led me to a point where I wanted to make everything perfect. Ive arrived to a point in the game where it will take me 10 hrs + to build a single factory, and thats not counting lining up perfect railways to the factory and all that comes with it. I kind of wish I played it more casually, as I am now 190 hrs into my save and I feel like its also too late to turn around and make everything half assed when everything leading up to that point is so nice. Its just a warning to people who might be in the same situation that the game can become a chore if you go too hardcore with your ambitions early on.

Love the BPs btw. The fun is making them yourself, so it's fine. I'd replicate as a fun exercise but never to use. I like seeing ideas to achieve various aesthetics, then pick and choose, mix and match, make it my own, created from scratch.

Ooooh, the super-white concrete swatch trick. I gotta make note of that.

I tend to go for a double loop rail network, a large outer loop with multiple in roads to a much smaller central loop. This allows for fast travel between close factories/stations (around the outer ring) but avoids having to travel the circumference for factories on the opposite side of the map (send them to the central ring and then out again). The signals can get a little finicky sometimes but nothing too difficult conceptually.

I think those square signs could look interesting if you had the power wall/ceiling connectors stick out from them.

Just FYI, you can lay down foundations and put a miner on top of the foundation, makes it super clean.
Also, awesome work. Love the builds!

I wish I had more time to create the content. I'm working on getting some smaller videos prepped for the rest of this month and once they're prepped I'll follow up with this series - hoping to have a new episode every other week at the latest

So do you just build with whatever level logistics you have and keep on trucking forward or do you go back and upgrade them all? It just hurts my soul to put up a factory with level 2 or 3 belts.

With foundations I always have the problem, that road ramps (railing and side catwalks) do not fit, if you do not elevate the factory ground level in 2-meter-steps. Otherwise you need to live with merged objects or railing vanishing in the ground. I use roads between all my factory complexes, to get to them fast, as well as to transport power and goods. So, I take my starting location as normal zero and when building new factories elsewhere, I need to drag a path of foundations to the location, so that I know where I need to start counting the 2-meter-steps up or down. Because the game lacks a decent z-coordinate.
I would go insane, building a train network with all the curves.

Its so weird seeing you talking about trains and you already have a Alien Power Augmentor just chilling. I see that as more of an endgame thing but pretty cool world so far.

i'd love to see a tutorial on using wall blueprints and how to snap them to the foundation grid properly i can't get them to snap to the foundation at all unless i'm missing something

, the Rainbow Bridge was built with a 680-foot (210 m) main span. In addition, it has a vertical clearance of 177 ft (54 m),[2] which was intended to allow what was at the time the tallest ship in the U.S. Navy, USS Patoka, passage under the bridge
