Item #: SCP-1936
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1936 is to be contained behind a two meter electrical fence, which is to be patrolled by security elements. The area contained is roughly circular, 1km in diameter. Security cameras are to be installed to cover areas not currently being patrolled. Expeditions into SCP-1936 are to be escorted by an armed element as specified by Area-37's Security Director. Personnel are not to enter spatially anomalous locations without specific authorization, with the conditions of such authorization dependent on recent anomalous activity within SCP-1936.
Area-37 is to be set-up on the outskirts of the town to support these operations and to provide facilities for the initial testing and classification of objects recovered from SCP-1936. Once classified, these objects are to be sent to the appropriate Site for long-term storage and study.
Dead biological samples recovered from SCP-1936 are to be kept under strict quarantine and taken to Area-37. Summary incineration may be performed if the samples are deemed hazardous. In the event that any live biological samples are found in SCP-1936, investigating personnel are to remove themselves from the area and Mobile Task Force Zeta-29 (“Mad Mountaineers”) are to be sent in to recover and bring it into containment.

@@Winslow19 Yes I agree but apparently Assassin's Origins, and I can't remember the name of the one based in I think it's Greece or Sparta where really good. And Far Cry 5 was really good, same with Far Cry New Dawn, then again my own opinion and a slight bias due to the fact I've been a fan of the Assassin's Creed games since the first one, and started Far Cry and became a fan from the start of Far Cry 3 but went back and played the other Far Cry games which they're were decent to. However I'll agree that ubisoft needs to get their shit together because they aren't a bad company they are a hell of a lot better then EA which is said because EA used to be so good! It looks like the only people that are fixing their shit is Capcom which I'm a Ressy fan so that's awesome! But to be honest this years disappointment in my opinion and sadly have to say is Bethesda, come on Bethesda you Created some of Childhood moments, Morrowind the best Elder Scrolls game to date (and i will fight for that opinion) Oblivion was god tier gaming, and Skyrim was and still awesome but not as good as Oblivion and couldn't hold a candle to Morrowind. Fallout 3 and New Vegas were really good games had good stories and fallout 4 was okay too, Elder Scrolls online is a fun game, so what I'm saying is I miss old Bethesda
Mr. Bowser new Vegas and assassins creed 2 are still my favorite games and I’ve yet to come across anything approaching them.

Also, just an interesting thought I like to think of from time, not fully believing: what if the SCP foundation is real, and they’re just using some kind of telepathic entity/technology to spread the info to writers, with additions and alterations made to make the true entries not as believable. Like, would you believe in such things if lines like “goat ball forever spinning” existed about it? But like I said, I really don’t believe it, it’s just something fun to think on.

Ihackz911 He still misheard/misread that bit, it said "great prisoner of the Dragon King" which obviously refers to the Hero. The post was also edited after my reply, originally it was the Dragonborn they spoke of and misquoted the above as "great prisoner of the Dragon God".

Describe in great detail something your brain fears because it can't understand it in the first place, because it has no conceivable detail that a human can percieve. You just know its not right. Describe that.
Cosmic horror is a neat concept but gets meh pretty quickly when you want something from the story other than suspense. Thats why cthulhu is popular, there's an actual pay off. When its done right its great but it's usually a category for lazy or 2 kool 4 skool writers tbh. Or in lovecrafts case, partially mentally disturbed. As all artist who are worth their weight.
It's really not that hard. Look up 3d fractals, and triradial just means it's symmetrical every 120° around a center axis. Like a triangle 🔺️.

This is really cool! It's great to see more Lovecraftian SCPs. I really need to read up on Pangloss. I think he's a character that pops up in SCPs and stories, but doesn't have his own SPC entry, so he's more like a Group of Interest.
Everything I can tell is pangloss is a really old entity that came into existence around the same time as life on earth itself and came into existence At near the same time As the deer.
This is fantastic. The author does a great job of creating the feeling that there is much more to this that we are and never will be privy to. I'd love to read more from them in the future
So basically a massive love letter to Lovecraft as a whole, cool, this definitely feels lovecraftian, and the creatures & phenomenon are all unique and compelling
I can't be the only one that noticed a BLATANT Elder Scrolls reference in this SCP. I mean, it directly brings up Sheogorath, and references the shivering isles, hero of kvatch, and septim dynasty.
If you ever cover an Apollyon class, you should move over the tape recorder to reveal the object class sketched on the whiteboard underneath the other classes.
This scp perfectly embodies those times when you watch an epic climax battle of a long-running, multiple seasons, anime series that you've never watch. Like, you're completely out of the loop of everything that has been leading up to this point but the imagery of the battle itself however just fully engages you in that you can't help but continue to marvel it all as you also piece together the little tidbits of dialogues from the characters.

The entity that was not identified in the footage was probably from the Fire god, the fungi and crystal creatures flee from it which could suggest that the Fire god is one of the stronger deities.

Four gods with minor gods and entities serving as soldiers under them and a bunch of other gods and entities who are have decided that they will fight for themselves, for humanity, observe the war, or like Sheograth fight for shits and giggles. From what I read and understand we got pangloss who basically trying to save as many humans as possible, some kind of tech warriors and the foundation saving humans and that mist god trying to keep the war contained?
This is one I always love coming back to. I mean how do you even fathom the aftermath of a fight between a bunch of cosmic beings?

So many years later, and this is still my favorite SCP.
Very good quality writing. A lot of SCPs have mangled attempts at officialese and sound a bit masturbatory, but this one nails it. The feeling of intelligence behind the report makes it seem more real and so scarier
I love SCP's like this, where it's some sort of event, or has some really awesome expedition logs. This is the kind of scp that would make a fantastic movie or game.
This is definitely not one of those that you can pay half attention to and tune back into half way through. I feel like im lost in a fever dream🤣
