SCP-1861 - The HMS Wintersheimer : Object Class - Keter : Uncontained SCP
Item #: SCP-1861
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: If a manifestation of SCP-1861 is reported, Task Force agents from the nearest Foundation Outpost are to reroute traffic away from the affected area and prevent civilian interaction with SCP-1861-B instances. A separate team must be deployed with the specific task of locating and preventing access to SCP-1861-A. As SCP-1861-B instances cannot be with brute force, diplomatic means of preventing civilian should be undertaken if at all possible.

That diver guy is quite convincing actually. If I didn't know any better I'd be on that sub in a flash.

Id likely be a bulldog baby suit unit!
I would join him as well, if I knew I would become a liquid lifeform.
I'd fucking sprint to the sub as fast as I can
"gunna have to take off the suit for science and all that" lol
Sounds like a line from a really bad porno
I think that was good writing tbh, really conveys the kinda people the D-Class are.
well if it was normal d class it would be take it off or die but yeah
Ignis Koy'Ote I mean it’s a class d aka a criminal. He likely doesn’t have a defined vocabulary or doesn’t really care to use it.
This is my favorite d class
The suits didn’t protect them. When they first entered the world they already dissolved, the suits just contained.
*inhales*AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Pajamapants Jack they didn’t protect, just secured and contained.
Just like the foundation.
Gabriel Hylton last time I checked the foundation is pretty decent at protecting

why cant those liquid people give us solid answers
MrThorbjoern maybe we need to chill them down.
Haha Haha this is the best!!
They are hardcore liquidists that hate us solids.

Scps are like x files, outerlimits, the fringe, and the twilight took lsd and had a baby.
What's very interesting is that everyone in the storm does "die" when it ends. Just if they don't go into the sub they die in the water world, whereas if they enter the sub they die in our world but live there forever.
What if you don't go in the sub and leave the area. There were instances where the people weren't taken. They didn't say what happened to them
@@RainAngel111 the parallel version of 'them' in the water world dies while their real self lives.
Doesn't sound like much of a life. I kinda agree with the Foundation on this one, removing the helmet and dying instantly seems like a far better option than floating in water not being able to do anything but look at mutilated dead things for all eternity.
I dunno, hanging out with a bunch of diving suit buddies in waterworld "exploring and talking to each other" could be kinda fun.
I mean, kinda beats being a doomed D-Class meatsack, at least.
I totally disagree. Imagine being forced to exist forever, only being able to talk to people and look at dead, mutilated things. Never again to sleep, to dream. Never again taste your favorite food, or hug your loved ones, or see a sunset, or play a video game, or listen to music. Just floating. Forever.
@@WobblesandBean both incredibly boring and terrifying
@@WobblesandBean still beats being d-class though
This. I'ma disagree with Wobbles and Sharktocrab here for a few reasons. My first is I still believe, some form of existence is better than none. But secondly, this is the SCP Universe. That D class's account of what's on the other side is absolutely only part of what's going on. What other supernatural phenomenon are tied specifically to that place? Where is the ship from, or who gave a mundane ship anomalous abilities? What happens when you find the corpse-version of an SCP? The water mirror image of an object SCP? Plus you can learn magic in the SCP universe, so that's something you could pursue. That or helping the foundation on the other side, try carrying through some surveillance equipment and performing studies. With the right tech or magic you might be able to carry the red blood environment with you, and sustain yourself outside the ship. Doesn't seem impossible. Plus you dodge SCP-2000 resets and probably most X-Class Scenarios.
Also, never being able to see sunsets, play games, or listen to music? You're regularly hitting the main world, I see no reason those things COULDN'T make it through. And, your loved ones could be diver suit people with you, or you could meet new friends. The world is utterly shit, real and SCP, but there's still good things out there. And in a magic water world of blood and corpses? I don't know, might be able to find some sea-based anomalies. Could just be spooky fish, could be a fucking aboleth. But, that's what exploring's for, we don't know.
Ah nice try but I’m not getting on the sub, diver boy
This is the kind of SCP that I like. You think you know what's going on and then all of a sudden you have absolutely no clue
TheVerySeriousLewis from what I’m gathering, they essentially dissolved when the sub filled with water but the suit had a pair of eyes and teeth in it already that the person’s consciousness can use to see and speak while in the suit.
The “barking” and toddlery suits were from the people who stuffed their pets or children in the suit and when dissolved they could move like people but still had their pet/child consciousness attached to the suit.
As for the water dimension that leaks over into our world and the mangled people. That’s an unknowable eldritch shenanigan right there.
@@tsmeowth001 it could be that to the liquid based consciousness a solid lifeform seen through their world appears dead to them.
Well actually, if you read inbetween the lines, what's happening becomes sorta clear.
As soon as you enter, you become dissolved, and apart of whatever weird ass water consciousness is there.
Your body is literally turned to nothingness, but somehow your consciousness survives.
Hence the blood rain. That rain is quite literally your remains.
Pretty fucked up huh?
@@DaSquareful i think it has something more to do with symbolism, or perhaps foreshadowing.
Remember, their eyes and teeth were missing, which causes one to assume they're dead.
But at the end, the only thing in the suit was eyes, and teeth.
Perhaps it is each person's unconscious mind attempting to make them aware of just what kind of hellish situation they're in.
But ya never know do ya?
Is it wrong that one of my favorite things about Volgun's videos is when he can't stop giggling at "OblongDoucheBoy?"

It sort of sounds like "dissolving" was inevitable once you entered the sub. The suits helped maintain a single form, which makes the fact that people desperately tried sharing their suits with their pets and children, that much more disturbing. "Babbling like babies and barking like dogs." It almost sounds like they fused together, except for the fact that the remains within the suit don't match the personality within the suit.
I sort of wonder if a "trade" is made to keep those people "balanced" by granting them eyes to see with, and mouths to speak with. The water within the suit could already serve as an "ear", and the obscurity of the suit would practically give the entity inside the suit a reasoning for not being able to smell, nor feel the touch of things.

I never heard of this song before i saw this comment, now i'm addicted to it
@@michealmoore4740 wha... seriously? I had that song stuck in my head 20 years ago. I asked my mom "were they on drugs when writing this?!"
'......Sea of green....in our yellow... submarine!"
What would happen if someone entered the sub wearing a normal, non-SCP related dive suit?
They'd need a hella big air tank to live down there between trips.
But my opinion? They'd either dissolve, get attacked by the more zealous divers for not wearing proper gear, or...
Something in the water dimension finds them...
Wonder if the foundation made a different D class wear the suit and see what effect happens outside the sub.
It wouldnt have any effect, they dissoved as soon as the water came into the sub,the suit simply contained their essence as well as gave them sensory tools. Thats why ppl dissolved right away when taking them off inside. Their existence is an illusion
They did. There is a second interview with a d class who became the scp designated as B and had an interview. In the end the d class tried to remove the helmet and disintrigated into water.
Then the suit is a class of SCP of it's own.
@@meligoth that's not how the classification system works. They only class the main scp regardless of instances that are produced
@@Kiyodio
What they mean was what if they took the suit that D-Class wore and had someone wear it in or out of the SCP instance.
I might be reaching, but was the ending implying that the SCP itself is the cause of all those people having no teeth and no eyes? It seems like (if we can assume the D-class dude is like the rest) that they kinda become patchwork people, bodies made of water and random eyes and teeth shoved in for good measure.
i know its been a while, but my guess is that everyone ends up dying, their body now basically being made of water and whatever is floating around, so eyes and teeth of those who died end up in the suit, not sure why the teeth and eyes specifically.
@@redcap1923 I know its been about 5 days now, but some people here in the comments have suggested the reasoning for just the eyes and teeth is because that's what they would need to see and speak. Everything else they wouldn't need. Though as I am writing this I wonder about ears.....well you can't unravel all the mysteries.
Someone suggested that the eyes and teeth are kept in tact for purely communicative purposes. So they can convince people to come into the submarine.
And their consciousness is theoretically somehow stored within the suit, or within the SCP itself. Weird shit man.
@@redcap1923 So they could still see and talk. Water is transparent and therefore cannot reflect light onto the optic nerve. You cannot speak without a tongue or jaw. So, whatever this entity is, it provides them to these victims. They just happen to not be their own.
So their like Bioshock's Big Daddies; once your in that suit, it can't be removed...
You could actually
Big daddies are grafted into the suit surgically. It could theoretically be removed by an appropriately skilled doctor.
@@mitchwilliamson5552 That's right, since Subject Sigma was able to have the suit removed at the end of Bioshock 2: Minerva's Den by Tenenbaum.
Subject Delta was also able to remove his helmet. The Alpha series Big Daddies have more means of removing their suits.

I have listened to a lot of your narrations and by far this one has creep me out the most
I like the bit about the non-humans in the suits making cat noises, reminds me of Ju-on
What I wasn’t sure about was why there were random parts in the suit? At first I expected them to be the actual D-Class’s body parts. But they were from two different things. He was a 30 year old adult human male. But the eyes were an 8 year old human females. And the teeth were from a deer and not human at all. I imagine the minute they entered the water world they dissolved like the people that took the suits off. But the suits held what they were inside. Or kept them separate from the outside. But if they put it on and never opened it I just can’t fathom the other parts getting in there or not being the original individuals parts.
In a way it reminds me of the morgue SCP that would reanimate bodies occasionally. And it reanimated a deceased little girl but the consciousness was a D-Class that had gone into the morgue for testing.
Who are these voice actors? freaking brilliant.
It's all the volgun
At least he got to find death, at lest he got to find a way out, you don't get that very much in SCP's.

Dude I'm so confused right now
Seize the Memes of Production don't feel bad. I've had an atrocious hangover, am only 3 minutes in, I'm confused.
What do you find confusing here?
My confusion corrected itself about a minute after that 3 min mark, when I got a little more info that I didn't know I had missed. That last part is interesting tho, deer teeth and eyes from another human. I like when there's some open-endedness
Basically once you put on the SCP - 1861 - B suit, you've already evaporated (probably) but your essence lives on with it. Everything your essence sees is an illusion but you're still you. I suggest to just read it on the website itself where it includes an interview of a D-class and with his friend who is also a d-class who became an SCP -1861-B, one of the SCP interviews that makes me feel bad

The scariest caps are almost always the ones that DON’T kill you.
so, this alternate universe is like the mind of a person, with all the thoughts, ideas and concepts that actually lack any solid structure: all intermingled with each other. however, you can still make sense of what you are seeing, without the capacity to physically interact with it, even if you did so slightly, you would alter it with ease, just like the brain which is very fragile to touch. the rain and the anomalous weather events are as if the person's liquidated physical form leaks to the real world, with humanoid manifestations acting as a conduit for his all jumbled consciousness and ears and eyes the ways of communication... or something like that, in any case its a fun thing to think about.
I got some strange Death Stranding vibes listening to this for some reason.

I find this super interesting, how they aren't just complete monsters, it humanizes them, instead of having a straight up monster, even having that first diver actually explaining it pretty coherently and like he is really invested in this and wants to save people... Then you learn its some weird religious cult, maybe, idk maybe the last 4 minutes will make it even more spookier like "actually nah its like infinite universes and in some this apocalypse actually DOES happen oooOOOohhh"
