Anthropology, but yes. There is indeed a lot of material. Daniel you should start specializing in your comedy. You know what I mean? At the moment you are still all over the place, you try too much. If you focus on one thing you are good at - and these are your really great observations with witty remarks - you can get famous. In order to vent your additional energy, you can create a hidden channel for your personal stuff, only for the eyes and ears of your loyal following. In other words you create a focused public act and separate that from everything else. Because your appearances at Böhmermann etc. were fails. You need a manager man.

Am now almost 8 years in Germany, my wife is a German, my kids are born here so one could say that I am not allowed to say anything bad about them BUT DEAR LORD, these people and their rules and their bureaucracy is killing me.
    (Besides the weather)
Am always trying to find the easiest way to deal with the things (am a Serb and not trying to be stereotypical but that is kinda way that we do things) and I even see my wife sometimes getting upset and am like dear God chill, everything is fine, we’re not breaking any laws just creating shortcuts to something that is obvious to any other normal human being!
And i lived in Dusseldorf and now we’re in Munich and Bavarians are like Germans above Germans.

Dutch are from a historical perspective the same people as Germans. But the Dutch country is also strongly influenced by France and the UK. We have the same stubborn, individual, liberal and freedom values as the French. While we love ships, trade and competition as much as the British. We are also forced to trade a lot because we are a small country and lie in the rhine delta region. But genetically we are just germans.

I’m German and I lived outside of Europe for about 7 years. Now I see my homecountry from a whole different perspective. It’s sad how much German people hate themselves. They always think it’s better somewhere else. But it’s not! Germany is a awesome country. The problem is, that German people take it for granted and don’t know about it.
I went to the Netherlands many times. Everyone I know loves the Netherlands. But from my experience they don’t like us. I have experienced crazy things while my visits. But still. It’s gonna stop one day. The Netherlands are awesome and it’s a part of my childhood. We always went there on holidays.

I think that is more something from the past. The collective memory of WWII has finaly dissapeared and with that the hostility. I am im my late 50ties, I remember it. My generation has changed for the better and fortunately younger generations don't have it at all. So its save now to visit The Netherlands ;) And yes, I agree and I find Germany a very nice and interesting country. I live in Switzerland near the German border and I travelled a lot especially through Bayern and Baden-Württemberg, a wonderfull area with beautiful culture, nature and very down to earth and warm people, we Dutch can learn from that.

Yes, Dutch are definitely smarter and more "worldly" than Germans. This can be demonstrated by just one simple fact: the Dutch have been able to market Heineken, a truly shit and tasteless beer, all over the world and turn it into a global brand. Whereas the Germans, despite having created hundreds of good beers, didn't manage to market ONE beer globally.

Quite accurate. If I worked in a library I would probably also be a little angry at you when you would return a book 4 days late. Because other people cannot borrow the book since you were too unorganized / lazy / not caring to return the book in time. Yes, I just realized that my anger comes from collectivist thinking. Seems that I am German.

It is not correct, but if it is the first time and you apologize ... There are just more important things to get angry or emotional about. An ill family member or a war in Ukrain for example.. Isn't it also about making small things to big and forget to focus on the important things in life? There are lot of ways to handle a situation like that more relaxed and still make your point. I remember when I was a kid I had to pay a little per day fee for every day I returned a book too late, so it didn't happen very much.

4:32: a month ago something similar happened to me. For context, I'm still in my 20s. At a work meeting I arrive in the room looking clearly very tired because the night before I couldn't sleep well. A rumanian coworker looked at me and asked why I was so tired. I then replied jokingly "life is hard you know?" and laughed.
My rumanian colleague got it, but Jesus, you should've seen the face of the 2 german women sitting next to her. They looked at me as if I was some sort of weird miserable alien and said to each other "this guy is very young and complains about life? He clearly does not know what a hard life is, wait until he has kids and he will see". The funny thing was that they were being really serious about it and were talking about me with me being less than 1 meter away. It was weird to be honest. I looked at my rumanian colleague thinking: wtf?.

I been here so long that I don't even answer their letters and stuff. Everything lands in the bin. Eventually what ever they wanted from me(like paperwork) they do themselves
I seriously do not have time or patience anymore for the German bureaucratic system. Its always this must still be done or that must be done.
Infact the best is to call the offices in person and go there if possible and know the people personally then act like a fool and they do all the paperwork themselves. Very easy. And if not just write an email and cry and complain that I am low IQ and then they do everything themselves, problem solved. But you must be friendly and kind otherwise it wont work.

Germans and humor, not a good mix. And after 5 years of being occupied by the Nazi's the world had to convince the Dutch, it's no longer ok to occupy Indonesia. That still annoys and puzzles me to this day. I guess no country is perfect.

Germans do have humor. It's just way too dark sometimes

I just wanted to think of a real funny comeback for the thing with Germans and humor, but then I started to think about the Indonesia bit and how horrible colonialism is, and then I didn't feel like laughing anymore...
Dang it, you might be right.
