The roller board is such a good way to explain the foot pressure. Getting my foil this month :P
Great tutorial videos, LF! Keep it up!
Thanks! Your tutorials are great! Just what I was looking for.
got this foil, and last weekend learned that keeping back foot above the foil is much easier to balance it, you can also straighten your legs if they start to hurt after long session.
I can't believe I still ride this foil after all these years. I never progressed past riding. Its so difficult to switch my feet in the air, I have to touch down and do it quickly. When I tried Levitaz foil, it was so easy, and STABLE!! Wish I van buy moses now. Will wait till next season.
What foil model is this?
@@goncalopereira2150 its liquid force's first foil, I think its called foil fish, not sure though. Someone at Sherman Island recently told me this was the first factory manufactured foil that started all the other foils being mass made
@@tomasgulas thanks man. I'm thinking of buying the liquid force rocket V2 foil, but I can't find many information about it. It looks the same as the foil on the video but in other color. I never foiled before and was thinking on learning on that one since it's a cheap foil. Do you think it's suitable for learning?
@@goncalopereira2150 since you want to save money, sure. I have had mine for years now, or sice they started making them, and still enjoy riding it. Others who are used to , such as moses foil, would not like it as those are much better. But its great for learning. If I could learn on moses foil with the same wing size, I would rather do that, as they are much more stable. But to save $1000, I would learn on something like this. I do think there are other and better options at the same price range, like slingshot foils, I'm sure they are much better and stable. Cheap used a too.
@@tomasgulas Really appreciate the help! I'll see what other options I have, if not I'll buy that one and upgrade when I feel the need! Thanks a lot
I definitely need to do this.
0:54 thats the best thing you are gonna experience ever
Learning area of flat water with no kite traffic. Boy that would be nice...
also riding toeside was much easier with back foot over the foil, because it is easier to balance it
'We strongly recommend an impact vest and helmet'. not so strongly that we don't follow our own recommendations.
She looks wonderfull with no helmet, it motivates me, no overly clever I admit. Pretty persons sells.. clevage and action.
Nice video! Makes me wanna try foiling. I would like to respectfully disagree with your comments on the twintip balance board section. Riding with all your weight on your back foot is really bad form and makes it hard to be a smooth, relaxed rider. I know they teach that to lots of noob riders, but it just ain't true. Like snowboarding, I'm about 45/55 weight at most for front/rear foot respectively. The way you demonstrated on the balance board is as if you were riding an 11' longboard at Waikiki in the 60's :)
That being said, the way it looks like you're teaching to foil is more like 85/15 front/back, which is exactly what I've heard from other foilers. Again. Great video. Sorry for the soapbox.
do any of these have a variable vane? ie some way that the ride height can be regulated?

this really sounds similar to riding a snowboard? ;)
Uh oh I don’t the bucking bronco
I’m screwed
