I can't believe the variety of dishes they offer at Viking Niu. Have any of you tried this buffet? Share your favourite dishes or any tips for getting the best experience.
I celebrated my last two birthdays at Vikings and Viking's Niu. I always go for their meat section. They have this spiced ham that I really like. Their food selection is very good. I also tried the Spiral Buffet at Sofitel. I believe that this is the best buffet in Manila but also the most pricey. My other favorites are Dad's World Buffet and Seven Corners. But for a very good lunch buffet during work, I always go Cabalen. It is also the least pricey.
@@leomarlonestrada5954, Great tips. I have been also trying to get into Spiral/soffitel and Fresh/Solaire Resorts for almost 2 months now. No go on either of them for me although I am trying to take cameras in so I always ask for permission. Maybe if I just showed up and started shooting I could have gotten in but that doesn't sit well with me
Yep finally hitting the buffets! Glad you're enjoying it. I recommend The Alley by Viking's too. Many local food vloggers are going gaga over Myeungdong Korean Gastropub's buffet. The latter buffet will hit your spicy cravings 😁
Around the next bend is a nice local ice cream shop called Sebastian's. They've got creative and weird flavors like blue cheese, sapin-sapin, and get this -- salty egg ice cream. You're probably too full from the buffet now. But if you get the chance to come back to Podium, try out Sebastian's. :)
There is a good bit of it that could be avoided. I think the trick is small portions to try and find what you like then go back for more.😁 You know, like I did with the wine😂
We went to NIU last Jan 13 ,2024 but sorry to say I’m not really a fan of their selection of food. But for the price is of the buffet i thinks it’s just fine. Hopefully they can improve the quality.
That is totally fair. For the price it's great, especially if you drink alcohol. But I never say anything bad about anything on this channel but I think you can tell from my video that I wasn't overly impressed with it either. A couple of things were really good, but most of it was just meh.
I can tell from the color that it is not real wasabi. If you like how that fake one hits, you’ll enjoy real wasabi. Basing from your reaction, which I agree with many buffets I’ve been to, it would be best to get your money’s worth going to carenderias or not-so fancy restaurants. Other than paella, I can see your “it’s ok” facial reactions with nearly every dish you ate. That’s why I’m not so crazy about buffets. I’d rather go to restaurants that specialise on a cuisine.
Nope, it was not "real" wasabi at all. Although you do still get a. nice sinus cleanse from it. But you are correct, nothing can beat the real thing. As to the buffet there were several that I wanted to try but this was the only one I could get into. 90% or more of what I do is either street food or carinderias so this is a change of pace for me. You are agin correct in that the food was just "ok" outside of the paella. If you're a drinker, the unli beer and wine make this buffet worth it
Hey you're supposed to be eating a juicy double cheeseburger, hot fresh fries, a large coke or Pepsi on ice, and a slice chocolate cake. But no, you're in there eating fine buffet cuisine at Vikings... How dare you
In my opinion the 1500 pesos is worth it for unli beer and wine. I can barely buy McDonalds for 2 in the US or Canada for that. Now take into account I myself drank more than a bottle of a wine that day....Totally worth it.

Have you tried on Spiral Buffet at Sofitel Manila?
Thanks!
Wow Kevin, Thank you so much. I cannot begin to tell you how much this means to me❤️
Your channel deserves more views and reacts....
Thank you my friend

If I just had more time, JP😂
Enjoy and eat well always watching ….
Thank you, Nishimura🤗
First! Hello Sir Geoff.
First indeed Leo. Thanks for tuning in😁
been there so many times! its all good with the prize and the food as well!
I found the food to be just ok. the price was fantastic
@@PureDetouryeah some of em’ are mediocre. But i only go there for the meat selection and the sashimi! Hehe
It is 4AM on a Saturday here and I am salivating over my phone😊
😂 Sorry, not sorry, Sadohr!
@@PureDetour Lol...but I could tell that you weren't blown away😉
Nope, not blown away by the food. The price and unli wine I was absolutely blown away😁
Totally!

Thanks for tiop, Eric. Will check it out if I am in the area again
@@PureDetour Please do. I am now curious!
Tons of choice, some of it looks awesome, but thanks for pointing out what to avoid,

You know, like I did with the wine😂
haha, yip@@PureDetour
i read before in a lot of comments that NIU in SM Aura is the best Vikings buffet. wonder if it differs from the Podium branch by much (or at all)
Now you have me wondering too, Elf.
FINALLY, we see you eat a salad!😂🤣
Finally is correct😂

Lol.. You had quite the selection.. Now you can zero in on a few other things to try and get more of the things you enjoyed most. 😂
That would be the smart way to approach it, Kevin😁
❤❤❤❤
Thank you Shannon🤗
What 1,500 pesos for all you can eat and drink!?
That was my exact reaction.😂

Looks great but am not a buffet lover. All the people who sometimes sneezes or coughs or talks over the food is a huge turn off.
Makes total sense. The buffet was totally worth it for the unli alcohol though😁

😂, It wouldn't be my first choice in meals in the Philippines but the unli alcohol made it more than worth it.😂
@@PureDetour I'm most certain that,'s true
Disagree.. Their menu SUCKS after the pandemic! And today it's not worth paying for. For that price you can get better offers

Nice! True …. We can’t fully appreciate a culture without trying it’s food 😀 🍽🥣🥢🍴🥄🧂🥂🍵☕️
Agreed my friend
