I agree with Jones, foreign mercenaries from Cuba, Africa, and now possibly North Korea reveal the shortage of ethnic Russians available to fight in Ukraine. Language is probably the critical factor. If Russian officers find it difficult to lead Russian speaking conscripts, think how difficult it is to lead foreign speaking troops, especially in the chaos of battle. With the demand for soldiers, the Kremlin must balance the personnel needed for battle with the manpower needed for commercial and war industries. Considering the fact that more than 50% of the population is female, and cultural taboos prevent females from working in heavy industry or serving near the battle fronts, Putin is handicapped even more. Despite the lack face-to-face field engagements in 2024, the strategic targeting of Russian radar sites and air defense systems, compromises the Russian ability to target Ukrainian military resources. With the advent of F-16 and Mirage fighters, the tables will be turned, concurrent with Ukrainian drone/missile attacks on oil refiing infrastructure.

Russia hasn't been good on the offense since Stalin pushed the Nazi's out of russia and all the way to Berlin. Since World War II, russia has mostly been really good at defense. They lost in Afghanistan. But russia has been really good at "cold war" and being on the defense. We know how good the russians at defense from when Ukraine attempted their counter offense last summer. There is a history of russia's giving up, i.e. Afghanistan and the collapse of the Eastern Block. What Ukraine wants is to speed up the russian collapse on the eastern front. It took so long for the Eastern Block to collapse along with the Berlin Wall, but the West was not in a hot war then as Ukraine is in a hot war currently. It should be expected that with (1) the sanctions, (2) the Ukrainian heavy attacks on oil refineries, (3) the tremendous loses of russian lives and in military equipment, (4) the Black Sea Fleet's limited area of maneuvers, (5) the poor leadership of russian generals, (6) the failures of putin, (7) the free world against him, (8) the necessity to rely upon North Korea for help, ((9) the moral decay of the leadership of russia and their short term denial of war crimes, the kidnapping of children, and the eventual realization of payments of reparations, which they are now learning about since interests from their assets are going to be going to Ukraine, the problems inside russia that are not being address, should make putin an outcast in russia, and as such, by his inner circle. Expect a real bloodletting among his senior staff before his demise comes about.

This expert was very informative and thoughtful in his analysis. Much better than a previous expert of yours recently who laughably believed that one call from China, and Russia will stop the War immediately… because…China…said so. And this man wasn’t joking??? Probably the most uninformed thing Anyone on earth has said about The Invasion.
