Eric you gave it your best, it was not an easy assignment, at least you won some trophies. The expectations were so huge and the environment perhaps didn't favour your style and output, but take this experience as a stepping stone. You are a great coach whose strength of character was demonstrated in your demeanor, never publicly blaming your players. The team didn't play for you, they were just lethargic, blowing hot, warm and cold. Take heart man, a new door will open up for you and one day you will be able to show that which wasn't seen at Man United. God bless you 🙏 ❤️

Thanks for the trophies erik after our 6 yr trophy drought. You humbled the egotistic players and you were professional against this disgusting media and legends of the club.
It was an impossible job. Walked into the worst utd dressing room and turned into one of the most exciting young, high pressing, transitional teams. He defo left the squad in a better state. There was massive improvements but there's no patience anymore. If only he carried on his Ajax possession style this szn when ineos gave him more of his old players. He got treated like shit by the new owners. Hopefully in his next big club he actually tries playing Ajax possession style football there and be patient for the right players. Im scared of the future of this club and the next manager
I was one of the last people to give up on Erik ten Hag. What I couldn't tolerate was his management of players. I get that players at Manchester United have always thrown the Manager under the bus, I mean, look at Dalots "miss" against West Ham. BUT I hated how we can get Ugarte from PSG and earlier from Sporting and ETH says he hasn't adjusted to our game model. What game model when we're being beaten by Crystal Palace, West Ham and almost every team?! ALSO playing Mazroui as a midfielder when Amad was available. He also hardly rotated and played our players in the positions they don't like most or excel most.
It feels so weird watching this knowing that this was recorded before he was sacked. That heaviness around him suggests he knew the sack was coming?Regardless of how it went, thank you Erik for the 2 silverwares in 2 years.
Man ETH's era was an up and down ride. So let me break it down. Positives: Strong character, won 2 trohpies including a fantastic FA cup final against city. Became 3rd place in prem for 22-23 season, Great performance in the Europa League with Weghorst. Negatives: Signed too many old Ajax or dutch players. Parted ways with Cristiano Ronaldo of all people. Performed really poorly in the last and current season of the premier league. He was at the forefront of media slander. You United Fans aged this man 9 years in two and a half seasons. I just know UTD is going to regret not listening to his demands. If you're gonna hire a coach/manager, at the very least listen to what he has to say instead of secretly backstabbing him. God i would love to see UTD fan's faces if ETH leads the netherlands to world cup winners.
Thank you so much erik. I wish you were appointed now with the new ineos structure. Still believe once united end player power and hold them responsible for the performances most managers will do better at the impossible united job.
Players let him down - football is a cruel game but never in my life have I seen a team of Manchester United players completely betray the trust of a manager. Amorim’s coming in sure but some of these players have survived 3/4 managers now, what if they grow tired of him as well? Manchester United need to be feared and until that happens we will keep losing games.
No matter who comes in, we need bare minimum 5 years to win PL/CL. I'd be happier if we sell Rashford, Bruno, Antony, Maguire as well. The bigger worry is INEOS. I would still say they don't have the experience of managing a club of such stature and in this sort of a mess.
I can see it in his eyes, he knows his time is up. I thought he handled the job with great dignity. The Premiership is different to the Dutch league. He tried to rely on the players he knew from Holland but they weren't good enough. It's been a hard lesson for him ... but restoring Man Utd is a very tough job for whoever comes in. I hope he finds a more rewarding job.
Huge respect to Eric Ten Haag, for taking the initiative on such a big task. Rest Club have to take harsh decision because ,fans they have too much expectation for this Football Club. Fans will never forget that Legendary Day when Cristiano Ronaldo joins Man UTD 2021.
I feel for him, he came with a good reputation like many before. People quite rightly bigging up Amorim but we could be in the same position in 2 years time saying Ruben Amorim isn't a good coach. United is the toughest job in football in my opinion but the reward for the one who gets it right will catapult him as a manager into the stratosphere. I wish Erik well it was the right decision because Manchester united needs to be about more than just FA and Carabou cups. Good luck in your future Erik
I hate this trophies is a success thing he had going. Winning a Carabao Cup and then finishing 10th this season would not be a success (which would be our place on the table with him). Then FA Cup and 8th is not a success but he’s somehow managed to convince people of it. Premier League and Champions League trophies are success. LVG won the FA Cup and finished 5th = got fired. Miss these standards we had then.
U can tell by his whole demeanour that he was gone. I don't hate the guy it just didn't work out to how we all thought it would for multiple reasons. I was one of his most staunchest of supporters since up till recently bit I do believe he should've been sacked in the summer as at least he would've gone out as a winner so that is on Ineos. Fact that we've pretty much got Ruben Amorim to replace Ten Hag imo proves that we've been working behind the scenes for a while. I wish no ill feeling towards Ten Hag & I do generally wish him well for the future. I don't think he'll be out of a job for long. Best of luck Erik & thank u for those 2 trophies

'ALL ERAS COME TO AN END!' THE IRONY IS IMMMENSE
Thankyou Erik. Hopefully you'll succeed elsewhere.
Huge respect to Eric Ten Haag, for taking the initiative on such a big task. Rest Club have to take harsh decision because ,fans they have too much expectation for this Football Club. Fans will never forget that Legendary Day when Cristiano Ronaldo joins Man UTD 2021.
Thanks Eric for the two trophies we will remember
Miss these standards we had then.
finish 3rd i think
Finally someone hit the nail on the head ❤
It's the youngings who didn't watch us succeed that were convinced. The more experienced fans were having none of it
Very classy from united fans to support their club and gaffer till the end.
He definitely knew it was over. His face and persona is incredibly different from the norm.
The next Manager needs to put his foot down and get rid of some players. I would count Mount,Shaw,Maguire and Lindelof as some that should leave.

@rankhatimokoena4951 I fully agree
