I hate to give a review without ever using the product. But I ordered two robot vacuums from Shark directly on Black Friday for Christmas presents for elderly family members. After receiving 10-12 email confirmations and shipping notice not to mention tons of emails from my bank stating the account was being charged (They never actually charged the amount it just always showed as pending and they would renew it every few days). So here it is 42 days later and still no vacuums. I had called Shark and they kept telling me they were out of stock when I ordered (never told me or I would have bought somewhere else), but now they had the products in stock and have already shipped or will be shipped depending on which customer service rep was lying to me. I have called Shark maybe 8-10 times and even requested to speak to a manager or escalate my issue 3 separate times. I was told a manager would phone me within 2-3 hours, but nothing!
I feel this review (that I will be posting any and every place I can) isn't a fair reflection of Shark products but rather their sales department.
Thought everyone should know before ordering from Shark directly, at least going through Amazon we have recourse.

Thank you for going over the app in detail and overall review. Really helped me make up my mind to buy the vac.

What are your thoughts on the Shark AI VacMop now? Is it good with long hair? Thanks!

Question, does the vacmop come with a charger?

Does the 2 in 1 not work on carpet as well as the other one?

Does it do multiple floors? If not, could you use different emails for each floors to log into the app?

How do you like it? We have 2700 sq ft carpet, tile and vinyl. One Persian cat and 1 girl. Concerned about pet hair and ability to clean carpets. Any issues with emptying the dirt bin or hair breaking or getting stuck on rollers etc? How is the maintenance? Does it auto detect when the on-board bin is full and go back to the base for a clean or does it keep cleaning but doing a poor job because the bin is full? Does the robot detect when the outside waste bin is full?
Debating on buying this or the Roborock S7 plus.

Yes, having 3 girls, the hair wrap is the #1 thing for me.

I own the self empty AI robot and while hair tangled are definitely reduced this is not a zero maintained robot. You will still need to check the roller occasionally to see if anything is caught in them. But the power fins do work well to prevent a great deal of hair getting caught in them. If you have a lot of hair in your home you will want to run the robot more often and make sure that you have the auto empty after 30 mins as well to prevent clogging.

Mechanically it works great. Connectivity is very bad. Software is very poor and support is "Forget about It" none existent. Called India twice, first call the tech could speak no English. Second just read from a script and was of no help. Shark does not provide much if any support for their products. Their app is worthless. Wast of money!

How do you keep it from crashing down the stairs? I saw you had a step-down where it just turned around. We only have one place to plug it in and I don’t like it as it is in the way. After every c leaning can I move it out of the way as it is an eye sore. Can I just put it back into original position and clean again? Wow, so glad I you because this is hard for a 71 year old. 🧑‍🦳. Thanks.
