With due respect to both legend, the another angle to first question regarding refusing the invitation of these so called journalist anchors is that often they invite lower rank or unseasoned party workers to the show and beat them black and blue. Appreciate Karan Thappar questioning n discussing this boycott even though as a centrist myself, I do not usually agree with his extreme left wing views! A lot of left wing channels are not questioning this as they would if BJP did a similar boycott. I think that boycotting the media that invites politicians and bashes their integrity their party and make them stand there while they do it is demeaning and unheard of in media at any level. Common Karan how can you say what you are. Outstanding analysis by Karan Thapar and N.Ram,both veteran journalists.A point I thought may well have a chance is that channel owners, some of whose anchors face boycott, may be forced to use less vituperative anchors to invite India alliance leaders for debates,otherwise debates per say would become insipid,one - sided and devoid of balanced opinionating.
Winds of change have started blowing,channel owners' commercial interests would demand pragmatic transitioning and positioning,in their long - term interests.

Appreciate Karan Thappar questioning n discussing this boycott even though as a centrist myself, I do not usually agree with his extreme left wing views! A lot of left wing channels are not questioning this as they would if BJP did a similar boycott. I would like to add that TN BJP boycotting or choosing to avoid some TN channels is not the same as India alliance coming on press n boycotting 14 journalists n telling them that they will be monitored n based on their performance they will be taken off the boycott list😅😅 that’s just ridiculous coming from people who claim to be the saviours of democracy! I don’t agree with Karan at all. I think that boycotting the media that invites politicians and bashes their integrity their party and make them stand there while they do it is demeaning and unheard of in media at any level. Common Karan how can you say what you are. The channels are also involved so boycotting the journalists you boycott the channel that are encouraging this and uphold the sentiments of the people that support the politicians who are invited and never given a chance to clarify misleading questions.
